  • I think its funny you have people on here who get all fired up over changing our Uniforms because its tradition...Blah, Blah, Blah..Then the same people want to get rid of the Dawgpound that has been around almost 30 years...uhh I think thats called tradition too!!?? I guess I can play that came too

I want gas prices from the 80s, and big fake titties from 2012....

    Only Browns fans....

I guess Oakland should get rid of the black hole, or the Steelers and there yellow towels..........

Please wake up it 2013, not 1983 change is great, hell if was 1983 you could not be a moron on a Computer, or have your cell phone, or even watch the Browns.....

I really could care less if we have a dawgpound or not, but stick with one side or the other PLZ

Ah this argument again. How many of those 31 points came off of turnovers or from a defense that forced the other team to punt deep in their own territory (great field position)? The vast majority of Super Bowl's include at least one pick six. It only takes a little bit of thought. I know you can do it..

lame excuse giving the defense credit for the winner averaging 31 points a game over 46 years. If defense wins championships guess that applies only the winner of the bowl not the loser. If defense gets a team to the championship, they must lay down and lose big giving up a average of 31 by their vaunted defense that got them there

Like I said your excuse is lame ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,31 points says it all Offense wins Championships

The faster Cleveland gets away from the lame DAWG Pound nonsense and the lamer starts in OL trenches nonsense and the sooner they focus on playmakers who touch the ball, which I believe Haslem will do, the sooner they will end a twenty three year losing funk which coincides with the invention of the Dawg Pound

You might want to check the facts instead of making them up as you go.

The average winning Super Bowl score is 29.95 points while the average losing score is 15.61. However, that's only part of the story. You have to look at how the winning and losing teams scored those points. Kick returns and pick sixes certainly do not go towards the offense. Your biggest flaw in this argument is how you attribute all scoring plays to the offense 100% without looking at the actual facts.

Fun fact of the day: Teams with a pick six are 11-0 in the Super Bowl(source: http://www.journaltimes.com/html_5c506c39-ba66-521d-a45b-c36b80dfd402.html).

    Have a nice day.

We had an identity it was the Brownies the Elf and we won always...........and we threw him into the lake Erie and drowned him for the dumbass dog pound and 23 losing years after 34 winning years

Go think about the identity and think about which one works better

I am applying winning to the formula. If defense wins championships why do they not show in the Super Bowl???????????? DUH ANSWER AS TO WHY THEY DO NOT SHOW UP! Meanwhile the winning team has averaged 31 points keep make more lame excuses why defense wins championships. NO excuses tell us why they give up 31.....stick turnovers where the sun don't shine, if defense wins they overcome...........31 points says defense wins squat

I know but it's funny. It's like arguing with a 2 year old. I'm still curious to see where this mythical 31 points is coming from too. I guess we'll never know...

  • Well, you better tell Michael Lombardi that...he has no clue when it comes to drafting what a team needs. He said best QB in 2010 was Jimmy Clausen...he had us picking Derick Morgan and one of his favorite player is Tim Tebow. He has no clue...oh, and he said we should have gotten justin blackmon last year...so, no josh gordon but justin blackmon... of course many of you will agree with this quote

"McCoy has never looked like the long-term answer at quarterback from my vantage point of studying tape at NFL Films. He lacks power in his arm, willingness to make throws downs the field and ability to drive the ball into a tight pocket. He has the look of a backup quarterback who will play well in the right system for short stints, but have a hard time being the 'man.'"

so in recap Lombardi can see mediocrity but can't find talent

  • UH.......ANY QUESTIONS LADIES???

go hide your head in the sand rich4smeagle. chump. proven soooo wrong once again.

if i were you i'd just quit posting here and go jump off a bridge.

  • Once again there is a great chance that a top 5 Defense can win the Super Bowl..( Sn Fran 3rd), and really if the Ravens Defense was healthy all year they would be higher, they have played lites out Defense in the playoffs

  • The 49ers and the 9 career start qb went to the stadium of Matt Ryan, Julio Jones, Roddy White, Micheal Turner and Tony G. They left with a win.

The Ravens and Joe Flacco went to the stadium of Tom Brady and the higest scoring offense in the league (beat the 2nd highest scoring team by 76 total points). They left with a win. And if that's not good enough, last week they went to Denver and beat the 2nd highest scoring offense.

    Bottom line:

Some times good offensive teams are off--yes, even in the playoffs. You need a balanced team to win the Super Bowl.

    End Thread

  • This thread really has to seem ridiculous after the results of yesterday's games.

Baltimore did whatever it wanted on NE after NE's defense lost 2 starters.. and NE's offense had one of their worst performances ever, especially in a playoff game, because of how Baltimore's defense played.

And SF's defense shut down Atlanta in the second half.

The Ravens last SB was a historical anomaly, but that doesn't mean defense isn't important.

  • I see it like this. It's possible for a team to win who's offense never scores a point in a game. Special teams and defense can score points.

It's not possible to win a game if your D gives up a TD a possession.
