            Only question not answered;

            3B. One origin of the term "redneck" does come from the wearing of red kerchiefs that signified a certain political stance....but who wore them?...and how did that term come to apply to poor southern whites?

            4. Which major league baseball team was once known by a variation of the term redneck? (I thought this would be the easiest...most obvious question)

            5. You got the meaning of all the other derogatory names...except Devil's Food Cake.

            6. What is the name of the piece of music in the "Beef" Commercials?

                                  3. In what two ways is it surmised that the term "Redneck" Originated?

                                  A. The basic answer is that it comes from the Southern farmers neck getting sunburnt while working the fields.

                                  B. In the 1600s a large segment of the Scottish rebelled against Catholic rule, and to show unity they wore red kerchiefs around their neck. These "rebels" became Presbyterians. Also, in the 1600s and 1700s many of the immigrants to the southern colonies who became farmers and plantation owners/worker were Scottish Presbyterians who brought with them the tradition of wearing the red kerchief. So the redneck name stuck.

                                  4. Which MLB team was once known by a variation of "Redneck"?

                                  The Cincinnati "Redlegs" duh.

                                  In the US "rednecks" became the somewhat derogatory name for poor white farmers. In the Carribean that term was "redlegs" because there the white farmers would wear short pants and it was their legs that got sunburnt that were more apparent than their necks.

                                  5. What do these terms signify in derogatory terms parlance:

                                      Most Devil's Food Cake I've had is chocolate inside and out. Maybe a "Milano" is more apt for that one.

                                          If you google Devils Food Cake, the first eight pictures are with chocolate icing. That's how I usually see it.
