When your 4th string Qb might be just as good as your 1st I think you always have to take some interest especially when its one of Lombardi's love child interests. But yes I know what your saying, It would be good to just have that QB that is head and shoulders better than the others rather than this 2nd guessing every year as to who might be starting come opening day.

  • He is going to push for the 2nd spot. Thad will be on the roster up until the end of preseason because they are going to want to block him from being signed to the Eagles roster.

  • The Browns were going to need at least 4 QBs on the roster in order to just get all the reps in with the WRs, RBs etc. on the 90 man roster. Even if they brought in an undrafted FA to be able to throw the ball. I guess they decided to actually acquire a guy that could possibly make the roster than just a camp fodder arm.

  • I can def. see a scenario in which Hoyer starts

Lombardi said two years ago that he believed that Hoyer was a starting QB.

And in those two years since, two teams have disagreed with him.

Really makes me believe in Lombardi.

NE cut him, they have a 1st ballot HOF QB, Pitt cut him, they have a borderline HOF QB, AZ cut him, and the've shown great decision making at the QB possition right?

so you're saying this is a good thing.................??

    wtf?

i mean your post can be taken in 2 entirely different ways. NE and Pitt have QB depth and he was the low man out, correct?

but meanwhile, in your opinion, AZ couldn't find a good QB if they shoved him right up their azzaz. so?

    ???????

  • Campbell has serious mental issues with throwing anything more than 3 yards downfield. Weeden is easily the starter. Hoyer is at best qb3, and I wouldn't be surprised if lewis beats him out.

  • I can def. see a scenario in which Hoyer starts

If Weeden and Campbell get hurt?? It's happened before...i guess

Yes, Arizona is a very poorly run orginization. They though Kolb was a franchise QB.

  • so does Buffalo.

    just sayin.

  • Thadius Lewis is to be waived tomorrow per a report from PFT and confirmed by Mary Kay.

  • I thought he played well v Steelers. Bit he's a west Coast guy without a big arm. He's Colt McCoy.

Interesting observation when one considers Campbell had a QB rating of over 84 during his play at Oakland in 2010 and 2011 and threw 19 TDs and 12 interceptions. Compared to Weeden, Campbell is Johnny Unitas. I think Campbell is going to very seriously challenge Weeden for the starting job. .

Confirmed via NFL sources. Lewis should get picked up by somebody.

  • Now that Brian Hoyer is the third-string QB, is it OK to talk about him?
