Im not going to entertain the rest of your nonsense with a response. What i will return to tho is your comment about his burst and the only reason i addressed your ignorant ass in the first place. You said he "used to have burst" to which i replied " he is still one of the fastest players in the nfl" you ignorant hot dog stuffing fat ass. Im also not expecting squat from the guy. He hasnt been able to stay healthy BUT if he can stay healthy he has the skill set. If hes great awesome, if hes not we traded a lb that despite being good prob wasnt gonna make the roster cut for us because we are stacked at lb.

You never fail to deliver...once again..you show us all what a condescending asshole you really are..It must really suck to be you.

  • If he can stay healthy....pffft.

Every statement about the stools is always prefaced by "if he can stay healthy". Problem is, they never can. If Ben can stay healthy, he'd be awesome. When was the last time he played an entire season?

Its actually not. Ben has been dinged, as has polamalu. The reason Jones fell from grace is because he was never able to really get started because of the injury bug. How many super bowls has ben been to since joining the league?

  • Sweed was a bust, mendenhall most definitely was not. However he had a hell of a time staying healthy and didnt do much to stay in the good graces of the steelers. I expect.him to be a 3 down.back in arizona. He shoukd rush for at least a 1000 and id expect 10 or more tds. Im not expecting anything from Jones BUT in typical nickers.fashion hes in here spewing nonsense. Jones is still one of the fastest players in the nfl. He hasnt lost any speed.

Mendenhall wasn't KiJana Carter/Lawrence Phillips bust.....but he was no star. He was serviceable.

You might even say that he is like 90% of all RBs these days......he was only meant to provide a change of pace from the predominantpassing game. He did that a bit at times...but he didn't strike fear into the hearts of man.. If he did get 1K yards, he will have more than fulfilled his expectations.

what's actually not? Can you fucking read?

The little Superbowl comment surfaces when Steelers fans got nothing to contend with. injuries happen to every team, yet its your excuse....for everything.

It'll be your excuse this year as well....I didn't see anyone making excuses when we played Thad lewis against you last year. Excuses are for pussies.

It's actually not an excuse for all Steeler fans. I also brought up the Super Bowl comment BECAUSE when Ben isn't dinged the Steelers make deep runs. He's gone to 3 since entering the league. Go through all the teams in the NFL and see how many would excel with their franchise QB laid up. Unless the defense is truly dominant it's a TALL order and even when the Ravens won with Dilfer the league was very different penalty wise. Now qb's are protected so it's an even taller order to win now with just a dominant defense. Soooo yes if your franchise qb gets hurt it's a legitimate reason for a down season. If the Steelers roll out with Ben healthy for example and lose a bunch of games it's a different situation all together. You'd also have lost with weeden round two. You barely f**cking won with 8 turnovers by Batch and co.

A team can win a Super Bowl with an average or below QB. Those Ravens with Dilfer are an example. And so are the 2005 Steelers. In fact, Dilfer was a better QB in 2000 than BR was in 2005. The Bucs won with the decidedly average Brad Johnson.

    So it can happen.

(2008 was different....BR was a much better QB by then.)

And, yes, I agree.....injuries ARE an explanation. You can't have your best players not playing and expect to be as good. Pure and simple. But, it IS a fact that EVERY team goes through injuries

Now, as far as last year is concerned....I personally doubt that the Steelers would have fared much better, if at all if not one of their personnel were hurt.

Please find somewhere in regard to this season where I said the Steelers were going to the Super Bowl. What I did say is that they'd have a better record than the Browns and will contend for the division and make a strong push for the playoffs. I still stand by those sentiments. Did you figure out that the Browns are still going to have a sub .500 record this season?

Nothing wrong with optimism...yet note: you sound like a desperate Browns fan from the last 10 years.

Some say this division is down....and I think there is some truth to that. Probably only 1 team gets in the postseason....and the common prediction is that team will be the Bengals (but we all know how unpredictable that team can be).

With the Pats likely in in the AFCE, and the Broncos in in the West, and I think both the Texans and Colts make it, that leaves one slot open....so I think Ravens/Steelers/Browns will be in competition with the Chiefs and maybe the Chargers.

(although, on reflection, it is probably a good bet that another AFCN team gets in...because the competition is so week.

Jets/Bills...no way. Dolphins...may be in the hunt. Jags/Titans...I don't think so. And though I said Chiefs and Chargers could contest for a spot...my heart really isn't in that prediction)

Even at the top the AFC I think is down: I think the Pats are as weak as they have been in a decade. Its just that they have no competition in that division. The Bengals? Just saying their name as a favorite tells you the conference is down. Texans still haven't become a prime time team. Colts will be as good as A. Luck is...and he is Lucky and good. Broncos...lots of injuries have taken the shine off that shoe.

Overall, I believe, a weak AFC.
