What Did We All Really Expect? !
-
The Coaching:
A complete failure and an utter facsimili of Shur-loss and Dickie ball!. Horton better pull his head out of his asshole, and get back to basic tackling and coveriage...(It was an embarrassment).
The Offense:
OK, so the Browns shit the bed on TV...(Thank God) it wasnt national coverage.,,,You have to understand that they are still learning this Offense. Im ok with the fact they're not gonna get it all in 3-4 games in Pre-Season. Brandon Weeden better quit telegraphing his reads and His targets or he'll be the next Asshole QB sent packing. do you really want this kid calling Audibles ? when you can plainly see the kid's head is spinning ? He's completely lost, and shows zero 3 dimensional thought process on the field of play..Meaning...He cant visualize sets, reads and routes in his head in order to "throw a guy open"..Montana was a Master at it...I'm not asking Him to be JM.
You really want to give Dumb and Dumber a wakeup call?....Heres what Norv and Chud. should do. Put them (Gordan,Little) on the 3rd team until they can prove they can play with consistency. Put Bess and Cooper in as the first team WR's,Until Bill and Ted figure it out or..fall's by the wayside.(Trade,Cut,Etc). Jordan Cameron?..."PATHETIC" Although a couple throws go on Weedens head. Sit his ass on the bench too as per Gordon and Little. Let Smelley play TE for awhile...Or SOMEONE!
The Defense:
I just don't even know where to begin..(sighs). Missed tackles.and No awareness, letting the pass catcher spread out and score not once, but twice was uncalled for and was the worst case of bamboozle, I saw since that Cincy game, where the Bungles ran a play to score, while shurloss and the Dckie was sleeping. The only bright spot there was Gipson and Krueger. Horton's strategy was awful and played right into Luck's hands.
Special Teams:
I cant recall a time I saw a ST's unit that looked that clueless. (I'm sure some of you could refresh My memory). Outside of Spencer Lanning...not much happened. When your punter is getting most of the notariety...You know that cant be good. I didn't see one MF who had any clue as to how to protect the lanes or seal off the seams or create seams in the return game punting,kick-off's or returning.
Again" "PATHETIC" !!!!
The Ref's:
I dont want to in anyway underscore the effort the Colts, put forth convincingly last night...They came out fired up,Hungry and passionate. But the Ref's saw to it, the Browns would never get any chance to recover, or regain momentum, no matter how hard they tried to. They gave Indy, the Superbowl star treatment. They're guys literally held on every play. Then in turn made suspect call's against the Browns..Especially that one roughing the passer call was very iffy. But that in no way excuses the Browns for they're lack luster display of chaos, turned into a cluster fuck showing
The Regular Season:
Despite all that went wrong. I'm most interested to see how this unfolds. I also realize these unit's need to gel, being given a new system on Offense and Defense. Timing between the Wr's and QB takes time, and I totally get that. My expectations was that, the Browns would round into form by the 6th or 8th game. My figuring was the offense might be ahead in lieu of the 34 being a complicated system to grasp into on Defense.
Right now...Everybodie's Neck and Neck at ground Zero.

I wouldn't put too much into the 3rd pre-season game. No real plays were likely called. They looked good the first two games and bad yesterday. Lets see how they do against Miami.

Well,I'm not in anyway saying the sky is falling..It's just an overall synapses and concern for the effort or,lack thereof...I still expect by mid season that this team can/will turn it on...

I think they needed the loss to bring them back to Earth. This team needs to continue to work hard like they did during camp. They got out of camp and seemed to lower the intensity, and might have gotten cocky. Chud needs to make sure these guys remember that it was hard work that gets victories in this NFL, and these guys need to know they have a long way to go...

If we had rode the success of the first two preseason games all the way until the last game of the season, going 15-0, and then lost the last game the same people would still be crying doom and gloom, demanding Chud, Hortons, whomever elses head in the process.
Fuck guys, new coaches, new system on both sides of the ball. I'm still calling a 8-8 season, but only because we DO have a great coaching staff and a bunch of young talent.
People care way too much about preseason...

agreed. It was a preseason game and a bad one at that. Buy we won't know who things play out yet. All I know is that we have the most talent and a decent coaching staff on our team that I've seen for years. These guys are young and will have ups and downs all season. Here's hoping for the best.

I don't think they looked 100%, and by that I mean, it was by coaches design. With the list of current injuries, why risk more?
There are some things that certainly better get fixed, and that is Weeds. He has to stop starring down his receivers and his decision making has to get better. I'm not worried yet.

Yeah Weeds just looked Sanchez like in this game. That being said Weeds also has zero weapons to throw too. If only he had the big moh back to throw too.

Your logic here is flawed. We both like the browns, and we both know (or at least i know, still unsure of your mental capacity to perceive reality) that the browns are bad for us. I mean i end up in a pool of my own tears (and vomit, the browns make me drink heavily) when they inevitably get eliminated from playoff contention each year. Sometimes babe its ok to like things that are not good for you.

Sanchez???? Sow what a douche. Imo weeden did about as Well as he could. Two bad throws i counted. Four dropped passes, Absolutly no running game, and recievers unable to create an inch of seperation.massaquoifan11 said:

12 for 25 for 110 yrds and NO TURNOVERS with that offense Ill take it. Its kinda like playing golf with a Vinci of hacks. Naturally ur game is gonna be worse. Luck made some really poor throws too. Differece was his WRs completely outplayed weedens targets. Reverse roles one time.

Patriots lost to the Lions something like 40-9. Should they pack it in, too?
It's preseason. Strange shit happens. Players sit when they'd play if it were real, etc. Horton's D went vanilla (not sure why). Joe Thomas was oddly horrible. As Weeden said, it's tough to put your finger on (except that he really can't handle pressure)... things were just "off."

Braylon Edwards was cut by the Jets today and the reason he was expendable was that they signed MoMass last week. HAHAHA. The best story of the day. LOL

I'm beginning to wonder if the Jets are going to win a game this year.
