TRICH traded to colts

  • They're fucking pros. It's a business and if they put shit on tape, they won't get paid in Cleveland or anywhere else. Pull your skirt up.

Our win total drops for the foreseeable future. Trent was our strongest weapon. Our Strongest.

What doesn't everyone get. He is a vessel... a damn fine specimen, used however the situation presents itself, a rare talent.

If this FO doesn't recognize Potential RIGHT IN FRONT OF THERE FACE how can I trust them to draft it a year from now...?

Yes Po... we get it. Only you could see the true value of a RB who missed holes Mr. Magoo could see...

    Find a new drum... please..

i respect your opinion over a lot on this board.

how can you NOT be just a little questionable, a little uneasy as to what just happened? when the national media blows this up for 2 days you know there is something that either is great or disturbing. i rest my laurels on the latter.

irsay drafted who? lombardi and banner drafted who?

yeah i'm PUMPED to see what happens next april. until then i'll watch hoyer get destroyed right next to a tv showing geno smith getting destroyed.

and everyone will be screaming QB QB QB!!!!

    we will never win.

what a bunch of football geniuses we got on this board.

  • There are some very valid points in there...

If everybody protested the browns for trading trent.... Would they bring him back? Has it ever happened before? Is it time?

  • Is it time to show how powerful we as Browns Fans truly are. For crying out loud... We put Peyton fucking Hillis on the Cover of MADDEN.

... If we really wanted to; we could MAKE them bring Trent home.... we probably should.

  • They're fucking pros. It's a business and if they put shit on tape, they won't get paid in Cleveland or anywhere else. Pull your skirt up.

ok D. and you wonder why no one wants to play in cleveland? yep, let me move from the sunny beaches of san diego play for a hick truck stop thief and his rat FO, or maybe i can go to a franchise THAT ACTUALLY WON'T TRADE ME AWAY AFTER TEN GAMES and has an actual chance of winning something while i still have legs?

if it was only about being pros............................................

keep dreaming. i know i do, that some day we will have a winner on the field.

i'm pretty sure i'll be sucking oxygen out of a tank and asking for morphine every hour before that happens.

  • @d-bone said:

They are trying to fix the problem created by the previous FO. Trent was over drafted at 3 and so was Weeden. They are trying to cut their losses, and if after watching Trent run for us for 17 games and you came away impressed, then I guess we have two entirely different definitions of an elite NFL RB.

well it's not up to me or you my friend. all i know is after hearing all the bullshit come raining down after the trade that the FO has definitely lost the respect of this team. bang. bingo. i'm not talking 3rd string guys. i'm talking joe thomas. CAN U HEAR ME NOW??

everyone knows they just mailed in the season with a return to sender stamp on it. it's going to get ugly. i'm no huge TR fan. i didn't like either pick (TR and weeds) but that's ALL WE HAD!!!! this year. get it? the players sure seem to. i wouldn't be surprised if thomas haden and mack already have their agents calling other teams. you know, the players that are/were the face of this franchise??

all you dumbfucks think about with this trade is how, maybe in 3 years we might be one step ahead of what we were this year.

    BUT

what you forget to think about is how isolated the palyers now feel from the FO. and as i said it's going to get ugly. like "fuck it i ain't blocking for this hoyer chump. release the kracken. dudes are already planning their vacations in the bahamas come december.

and haslam just sits there. fuckin beef jerky hick.

I've seen no evidence... none... that supports what you said...

Just read this article http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2013/09/cleveland_browns_dqwell_jackso_4.html and it would appear the opposite is true...

    For example:

Jackson said Sunday's game in Minnesota will be gut-check time.

"This is the week to go out and show the character of the guys in this locker room,'' he said. "The ship is still sailing.''

Doesn't read like a locker room ready to mail it in to me...

everyone knows they just mailed in the season with a return to sender stamp on it. it's going to get ugly. i'm no huge TR fan. i didn't like either pick (TR and weeds) but that's ALL WE HAD!!!! this year. get it? the players sure seem to. i wouldn't be surprised if thomas haden and mack already have their agents calling other teams. you know, the players that are/were the face of this franchise??

Pretty sure the CBA prohibits the "other teams" from taking those calls...

Jackson, who's completely bought into coach Rob Chudzinski's program, said the team is still focused on winning this season.

Jackson, who's been here for eight seasons, understands the fans' frustration with the trade.

But he completed rejected the notion the club is tanking the season.

"That's not even realistic,'' he said. "In this business there is too much pressure on everyone to win let alone to put it all on one guy. I can't even fathom that.''

Your hair's on fire... put it out and chill...

  • They would do this during an away game as well, just so we couldn't do anything about it. Just like they did Paul Brown. When is enough, enough? We should strike, and get our Running Back back.

What would it cost? Would the Commish have to make an executive order? Rescind the trade... Then what would happen in Cleveland, would they play him? My head hurts...

Really, Cleveland should do something. This is unprecedented. It's nothing like taking the team from us, but it's still shiesty as fuck.

One, the link did not work...

Two, I don't want him back, so you are at least one shy of everybody.

lol I hear you, I'll be on a tank too. I am biased in that I hated, and that word isn't strong enough, the 2012 1st round picks and getting anything back in return for Trent other than a 12 pack of Coke and a model airplane gives me hope for the future......After all, I'm a Browns fan, what else do I have but hope?

  • sorry G. that chapter with this franchise is over. i agree with your pain and think things could have been done differently to not affect the fans and the players like this FO has done. cheezy man, real cheezy. like i said in another post, the players know they have mailed in the season so expect them to play like it. players will get injured, there will be locker room brawls....this basically just blew up the whole team mate thinking of this squad. don't be surprised when players contracts are up that they don't even sniff at a browns' offer.

on a lighter note: you gotta PM me about what i asked you about last night before the box leaves the door tomorrow AM.

startin to get on my shitty side. don't want that.

  • Thanks, mik... and I yours. But just as I can get irrational about certain topics, so too can you.

I was shocked when I saw the news of the trade, but after about five seconds I got better.

Week 1 TR missed 5 holes and failed to pick up 2 blitzes.

I spent some time this afternoon breaking down the Ravens' game. Through the 1st quarter I already saw three holes TR missed.

That is not a #1 pick's performance. The FO knows it. I think Indy is about to find it out.

We'll know before too long who is right....

  • Good God, Po, walk away from the computer.

Let's see how our run game works without your hero and how that draft pick works out.

We were 5-13 with 3.5 ypc with Trich.

thanks. i don't want to seem like i'm pissy about this trade. it's not the trade. it's the way it went down and the lack of value we got back in return just to realize that we have to trust in joe banner and mike lombardi to make this a winner deal for us.

if i was a betting man i'd put my money on black. meaning that's what their faces will look like when they are shown the door (like in the cartoons when a car backfires or a cigar blows up in a guy's face).

didn't we just do this same dance 2 years ago? when will it end?

    (never) in our lifetime. bet?

  • Okay, here's the video that was in the OPost.

    Uhm. I'm with ya Z.

I think Chud lost the team with what they've done. but maybe. just maybe they come out(the loyal players) and play like their hair is on fire!! and win it for the fans.

Either way. I'll watch. and drink a lot.

  • 27 pages later ... We dropped Trent for a first round pick and picked up McGahee.

I'm really not sure it will effect our 2013 season that much.

These guys are going to draft their guys next year. That'sall. The end.

    datta boy!!

oh they definitely lost the players. expect a mass of our franchise guys to look elsewhere asap.

  • @jafbf said:

After finding that Blocking analysis I linked, I want to see how McGahee does.

Hate to say it, but with Gordon, Luavao, and Rubin back and Hoyer at QB, I'm starting to think we win this Sunday.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE FUCKING HILARIOUS! (well maybe....ponder>hoyer or hoyer>ponder? that is the ? that will be answered this sunday). my concern is that everyone in the locker room after hearing the news has just given up and are basically gonna fist fuck banner and lombardi the rest of the season.

and dickbone why do you still have to pound the kid? i hope he goes on to become a probowler and rushe for over 1k a year, that way all you fat fucking holmgren lovers who now turned on him can go spin around in circles cuz you don't know which way is up.

hopefully things work out for the browns. but like i said in another thread: betting on banner and lombardi is like betting on the crippled 3 legged longshot at the kentucky derby.

Hey, I'm glad to at least give you some amusements and a few laughs . . . as a fellow Browns fan we sure need all the laughs we can get.

Why do I keep pounding the kid (Trent) ?

    I'm not pounding him.

I think he is a phenomenal athlete - he just hasn't developed his (NFL level) vision yet.

I like Trent, I hope he does well (just not against us).

I've always been worried about his durability (Pins in Ankles, Knee Surgeries, etc.), but that's a different issue and has nothing to do with his abilites.

    McGahee is a seasoned veteran.

He doesn't really have much of an NFL future at his age/condition, but at his level of experience I would think he has developed pretty good "vision" or at least a good "feel" - kind of like an experienced QB "feeling" impending pressure.

Hoyer, what I've seen of him, for one doesn't seem to stare down Recievers as much as Weeden, and appears to go through his progressions.

I think he's probably more mobile than Weeden, doesn't have the arm, but may be a bit quicker thinking.

Still haven't totally given up on Weeden yet, I've seen progress, just don't know if there's going to be enough for what we need.
