TRICH traded to colts

  • They would do this during an away game as well, just so we couldn't do anything about it. Just like they did Paul Brown. When is enough, enough? We should strike, and get our Running Back back.

What would it cost? Would the Commish have to make an executive order? Rescind the trade... Then what would happen in Cleveland, would they play him? My head hurts...

Really, Cleveland should do something. This is unprecedented. It's nothing like taking the team from us, but it's still shiesty as fuck.

  • There are some very valid points in there...

If everybody protested the browns for trading trent.... Would they bring him back? Has it ever happened before? Is it time?

One, the link did not work...

Two, I don't want him back, so you are at least one shy of everybody.

They're fucking pros. It's a business and if they put shit on tape, they won't get paid in Cleveland or anywhere else. Pull your skirt up.

ok D. and you wonder why no one wants to play in cleveland? yep, let me move from the sunny beaches of san diego play for a hick truck stop thief and his rat FO, or maybe i can go to a franchise THAT ACTUALLY WON'T TRADE ME AWAY AFTER TEN GAMES and has an actual chance of winning something while i still have legs?

if it was only about being pros............................................

keep dreaming. i know i do, that some day we will have a winner on the field.

i'm pretty sure i'll be sucking oxygen out of a tank and asking for morphine every hour before that happens.

lol I hear you, I'll be on a tank too. I am biased in that I hated, and that word isn't strong enough, the 2012 1st round picks and getting anything back in return for Trent other than a 12 pack of Coke and a model airplane gives me hope for the future......After all, I'm a Browns fan, what else do I have but hope?

  • sorry G. that chapter with this franchise is over. i agree with your pain and think things could have been done differently to not affect the fans and the players like this FO has done. cheezy man, real cheezy. like i said in another post, the players know they have mailed in the season so expect them to play like it. players will get injured, there will be locker room brawls....this basically just blew up the whole team mate thinking of this squad. don't be surprised when players contracts are up that they don't even sniff at a browns' offer.

on a lighter note: you gotta PM me about what i asked you about last night before the box leaves the door tomorrow AM.

  • Thanks, mik... and I yours. But just as I can get irrational about certain topics, so too can you.

I was shocked when I saw the news of the trade, but after about five seconds I got better.

Week 1 TR missed 5 holes and failed to pick up 2 blitzes.

I spent some time this afternoon breaking down the Ravens' game. Through the 1st quarter I already saw three holes TR missed.

That is not a #1 pick's performance. The FO knows it. I think Indy is about to find it out.

We'll know before too long who is right....

  • Good God, Po, walk away from the computer.

Let's see how our run game works without your hero and how that draft pick works out.

We were 5-13 with 3.5 ypc with Trich.

thanks. i don't want to seem like i'm pissy about this trade. it's not the trade. it's the way it went down and the lack of value we got back in return just to realize that we have to trust in joe banner and mike lombardi to make this a winner deal for us.

if i was a betting man i'd put my money on black. meaning that's what their faces will look like when they are shown the door (like in the cartoons when a car backfires or a cigar blows up in a guy's face).

didn't we just do this same dance 2 years ago? when will it end?

    (never) in our lifetime. bet?

  • Okay, here's the video that was in the OPost.

    Uhm. I'm with ya Z.

I think Chud lost the team with what they've done. but maybe. just maybe they come out(the loyal players) and play like their hair is on fire!! and win it for the fans.

Either way. I'll watch. and drink a lot.

  • 27 pages later ... We dropped Trent for a first round pick and picked up McGahee.

I'm really not sure it will effect our 2013 season that much.

These guys are going to draft their guys next year. That'sall. The end.

    datta boy!!

oh they definitely lost the players. expect a mass of our franchise guys to look elsewhere asap.

After finding that Blocking analysis I linked, I want to see how McGahee does.

Hate to say it, but with Gordon, Luavao, and Rubin back and Hoyer at QB, I'm starting to think we win this Sunday.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ARE FUCKING HILARIOUS! (well maybe....ponder>hoyer or hoyer>ponder? that is the ? that will be answered this sunday). my concern is that everyone in the locker room after hearing the news has just given up and are basically gonna fist fuck banner and lombardi the rest of the season.

and dickbone why do you still have to pound the kid? i hope he goes on to become a probowler and rushe for over 1k a year, that way all you fat fucking holmgren lovers who now turned on him can go spin around in circles cuz you don't know which way is up.

hopefully things work out for the browns. but like i said in another thread: betting on banner and lombardi is like betting on the crippled 3 legged longshot at the kentucky derby.

Hey, I'm glad to at least give you some amusements and a few laughs . . . as a fellow Browns fan we sure need all the laughs we can get.

Why do I keep pounding the kid (Trent) ?

    I'm not pounding him.

I think he is a phenomenal athlete - he just hasn't developed his (NFL level) vision yet.

I like Trent, I hope he does well (just not against us).

I've always been worried about his durability (Pins in Ankles, Knee Surgeries, etc.), but that's a different issue and has nothing to do with his abilites.

    McGahee is a seasoned veteran.

He doesn't really have much of an NFL future at his age/condition, but at his level of experience I would think he has developed pretty good "vision" or at least a good "feel" - kind of like an experienced QB "feeling" impending pressure.

Hoyer, what I've seen of him, for one doesn't seem to stare down Recievers as much as Weeden, and appears to go through his progressions.

I think he's probably more mobile than Weeden, doesn't have the arm, but may be a bit quicker thinking.

Still haven't totally given up on Weeden yet, I've seen progress, just don't know if there's going to be enough for what we need.

  • @419lions said:

I also believe they never planned to let Weeden start this year. The plan was to let Hoyer start all along. Two things can happen. Hoyer plays good and they decide they dont need to draft a franchise qb next year. Which makes the TRich trade pointless, or Hoyer is bad and they have to backtrack and name Weeden the starter again.

    see, that's my next question.

it's been all over espn that weeden's thumb injury is nothing more than a bruise, so what happens next sunday (TAILGATE BLOWOUT!!) vs. the bengals at home?

if THEY don't give weeden the nod then we know he's gone, which goes against everything banner said yesterday quote "who's to know we don't have our franchise QB on our roster now?" which sounded to me like he was going to give every chance to weeden to prove himself this year. i mean if hoyer can't beat out campbell or weeden then why start him for the rest of the year?

in which there is a simple answer. if we don't see weeden start vs. the bengals then you know the FO has him on the chopping block. plain and simple.

this is almost unprecedented in NFL history (gipper?) that the purging of a previous FO system and picks will have been traded, dumped and fucked within the first quarter of an NFL season.

either they really 'think' they know what they're doing (lordy pleez) or they will come out looking like holmgren just shat his krispy kremes all over their faces with that brown fudge feces.

it's tricky. it's tricky tricky tricky.

don't think he is the qb Mik. all that is a lame attempt to not tip his hand come draft time.

but with weeds something just don't click with him. how can you tear it up in the preseason and then look foolish the next week. Yes I know the line is a sieve and the WR are laying down and not trying to make a play. But he either gets tunnel vision at the snap or just nervous that he is going to make a mistake. All stuff that he can get over with coaching and time.. but its the NFL and time is a precious commodity.

I was wondering if it was still happening this year.

I think physically, Trent can be dominating, he just needs to work on seeing those holes.

oh i totally agree. i think the guy is plain 'slow'.

i was just hoping that he might 'see the light' and become the player 'somone' saw in him for us to trade up for him, so as not to go through 8 months of threads from the queens:

'tanking for teddy', loving me some johnny football'...........

blaaarff!! a guaranteed no win for us.

  • Willis mcgahee said the browns contacted him on Monday two days before the trade. That means the front office watched that putrid excuse for a game on Sunday and trents half assed performance and said

"Screw this guy, get me mcgahee". Can't blame them one bit either.

  • I have been saying forever that people of Cleveland go Support the Tribe because they are trying to make the playoffs and all I do is get ripped. Love this guy I have been saying this BEFORE THE PRE-SEASON. All well GO TRIBE.

I wonder who (else) they were thinking of cutting/trading in case the Trent trade never came up or was approved?

Things get more interesting all the time.

  • @poeticg said:

No, they still have their QB,... We'll have blown just as much if not more before it's through and We'll still need a QB and a RB.

We have a RB. Dion Lewis will be a true NFL caliber RB next year.....Mark it down. And by "NFL caliber", I don't mean Trent and his 62yds per game.

Since 1990 only one rb under 5'9 and under 200 lbs has rushed for 1000 yds. Warrick Dunn. Makes me not believe in Lewis.
