I absolutely can't believe the stupidity of you people. Even for Browns fans! Do you honestly believe that simply owning something gives you the right to do anything you want with it? How about a gun? Do a little research.....it may help you to prevent making a fool of yourself......again.

Owning a forum gives you the right to delete posts and ban members who fail to follow your rules as long as those rules are consistent with accepted practice within a "public" forum. I never saw a rule that said you weren't allowed to speak truth about the host or his favorite team. Stan is the biggest and most prolific offender of the rules which govern public forums and he is too stupid to even understand it......he, too, thinks that because he paid his $13 for a Browns message board he can do anything he wants.

Back to the freak show................The 8th time I saw Culture Club I got backstage. Needless to say it was a good time.

My last post on this thread................let's put it to bed

Pretty good insight Stone. And thanks for presenting rational thought and indeed that public or private does not give anyone the right to "publically" fraud other people. You understand and kudos to you for posting like an adult on this thread.

Now Stan made a false claim as usual that I say I am always right. Hell, nobody is always right. Me I just happen to correct way more than most. Call it wisdom or situational awareness. Not long a ago a few weeks, Stan reincited the Lewis was better than McGahee BS.........I defended with stats as to why that was not the case. That thread disintingrated into "ME' being full of crap. Well, I say after Sunday's performance anyone who thinks tap dance Lewis running on an empty tank is better than McGahee is well footbal deificicient or has severe myopia. That is just one of way more than a hundred where I took a position opposite the herd.

Being right all the time is impossible being man enough to acknowledge whom is correct way more than anyone else is class.........so far Ghoolie stands nearly alone in exhibiting true class.

BTW, Stones assessment is correct.............and that is just the way it is......

GO BROWNS ............ it takes a great man to love the Browns and Steelers for fifty years and be able to compartmentalize year by year and player by player among the "bandwagon fans" who are de true fans .....DUH.............

WE NEED A RB BAD.............LEWIS IS DONE!

    Moderators,

Per PM request ... our ban quota is now down to three.

  • As a moderator....I will say that I am NOT surprised by the individuals crying on this thread.

They are the same individuals who cannot make a post without making some kind of personal attack..or in the case of the Steeler fans making a generalized comment about Browns fans.

I, and the other moderators, try to be fair with our deletions. We try to keep things civil and moving forward with a good discourse of information and opinion. You do NOT have to agree (as some seem to imply), but you at least should try to disagree without making personal attacks in EVERY post. Occasionally we all get a little aggressive, but some have show a propensity for it.

Further, I have posted threads regarding edicate at the top of this board on several occasions...and for the most part gotten good responses to those. Yet, the second they are taken down we have the SAME individuals going amuck again.

I don't believe in banning personally. I feel it is the FINAL move when somebody just doesn't get it (or doesn't want to get it). However, recently we have had more SMACK than discourse...and it needs to stop. Plain and simple.

Keep in mind - THIS IS A BROWNS BOARD. It was created FOR BROWNS FANS to DISCUSS THE BROWNS. If you are BROWNS FAN and are discussing the BROWNS, your posts will be safe at all times. However, if you are NOT a Browns fan (or even if you are) and you are here to 'stir the pot' or just make irrelevant or obnoxious comments....likely your posts will be deleted.

So, back to the Browns. Enjoy the FREEDOM to discuss the BROWNS to your hearts content.

I am one handsome sumbitch, I will tell you that. The cool instrument you see is called a Lowe Bow, custome built for me by a Memphis Cat named John Lowe.

You play it with a glass slide (You can see it if you look away form my well-musckled thighs and check out the fourth finger on my left hand). The top three strings are tuned to open "D" for a blues slide/Delta sound, the BAss string is a low D to compliment the other strings.

Here is the cool part. The guitar string side has a seperate pick-up and input, so it goes to a guitar amp. The Bass string likewise has its own pickups and input, meaning you can send its output to a seperate bass amp and sub woofer.

What results is a thunderous sound that rocks like the wrath of God. HUGE tone.

Thanks for posting my picture and using my account.

Amazingly Chuck does seem to get it.

Maybe he is the mayor of Pissburgh? In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Not sure I follow your gibberish but I think you are accusing me of having a second screen name? Yep, because your mignonettes blocked my original when the transition occurred; as they did with many others. Any more stupid comments?

    Gal:

Apparently, the concept is difficult for you! Yes I can wear what I want and say what I want (even if I didn't own the company) and in a corporate environment the only recourse, if my boss didn't like what I did and said, would be to stop paying me.

This is a public forum not a place of employment......WTF girl? Did I tell you the 4th time I saw Boy George I snagged his panties?

Do you need your diaper changed or something? whinny little puss.

  • Stoner's tush is a little sore, but hey, I gotta give you credit telling others how to run their board. We'll try our best not to offend you since you're such a cool and smart guy.

  • We have a new PURGATORY setting here now, it's called 'On-Watch'. If you get put 'On-Watch' you will be premitted to post, but not start threads. Many other features will be unaccessable as well, such as PM'ing, editing, and searching.

Members who are 'On-Watch' that continue to put up a violating post, will be suspended for a specific period of time. Once allowed to return, they will return to the 'On-Watch' status until we feel they have earned to right to the General settings.

Members who create alternative screen names to skirt the suspension, will have more time put on their suspension along with an IP ban.

You can check if you are 'On-Watch' by looking at your 'GROUP' setting on the leftside of your post, near your post count. 'REGISTERED' is the normal default setting for all members.

We hope these elementary rules helps some of you conform, as our obvious attempts to combat past violators with humor apparently was too harsh for many to digest.

    Great idea...

and...here's just a small suggestion....NEW Members should be "on watch" for a short grace period. Not only does this solve the "skirting" issue. But it also prevents trolls from other teams from coming in and imediately mucking things up with new threads.

I always felt there should be a grace period before you are allowed to start threads

    Good idea.

Did the Browns fill all the coaching spots yet? I got wrapped up in the childish banter and lost track.

    Someone didn't read Stan's post.

See, this is exactly the kind of bullshit that goes on here. Stone has put this post up at least three times and we removed it because it did not fit into this subject. He just kept putting up each time we removed it.

So, instead of playing along and just editing his post to something on-topic and humorous, we are just going to suspend his account ... and for the typical suspension it will be for about 14-days, but with Stone we set it accidentially for 180-days. Opps!

    See you next fall Stone.

  • I'm so glad that on a morning my kids had school semister finals, that I spent my morning not making a nice breakfast for them, but creating new cute catagories to fit people in who like to whizz all over this place, changing the status of these violators, removing violating posts, and sending notes out to our moderators to stay on the same page.

Yeah, it was such a shame to just have some fun and edit these assholes posts ... shame on us volunteers and those that also foot the bill.

  • @jadbf said:

BUt when you alter someones words, and then a stranger comes to view these words, that stranger doesn't know who put those words there, and that is not the right way to do things. Funny and fun, yeah I can see that. But not right.

It all came about when we had to remove the same post or even thread multiple times, over and over again. Finally you just say F-it, and alter it to punch'em right back in their face by making a fool and example out of'em.

You watch, now we will get these clowns over here calling us 'Ban happy', forgetting that we tried every tactic known to man to do everything but ban them.

I had to laugh last night reading this thread when one of them wrote, "It got to the point (of being altered) that you didn't even want to even post again ..." Gee, a-duh!

Yes, we also reverted to baiting posts/threads. Again, I got a good laugh out of those that had about 160+ posts crying that they wouldn't post here if they weren't baited. RRrrriiiiiiggghhhttttttttt. Do you or anyone you know, fish in a pond that you can clearly see has no fish in it?

As a Mod, if you are going to spend 80% of your allotted time here wiping noses and changing diapers of someone's kids that don't even appreciate you or that you don't even like ... your likely to feed the kid some re-fried beans as a gift to the parents when they take their brat home.

  • I think it was funny when they alteredtheir posts.

  • I am dissapointed most in the fact that with all bickering and such the cheerleader thread was allowed to fall of the 1st.page 😆

Here is a perfect example of cruel and unusual treatment and altering of posts of a cool guy such as Stoner.

He originally said enjoyment and some asshat mod changed it to employment. Now Stoner is no longer with us.

    It's a sad day indeed.

I'll just put in my .02 as a moderator- WPB put it far more eloquently than I could, 100% agreement. Some of the trolls don't get it- it's a moderated board, and as such, the moderators have the option of saying what goes, and what doesn't. FWIW, I've never altered the content of another post. I go all the way back to the days of USENET which was unmoderated, and unfilterable. Absolute freedom to do anything- and it devolved into an unreadable morass of anarchy. If the trolls don't like it here, they can start their own unmoderated board, and see just how long (I'm willing to bet not very) they're willing to put up with the BS that's sure to ensue.

  • Oh Tommy V!!!!!! The 'V' stands for Va Va Voom!!!! and I know from personal experience that you are all man and that you really know how to treat a woman.

Let's just say that you will never be accused of 'thinking' out of the box but, on the other hand, you really know how to put a woman's mustach to good use!

I just get so excited thinking about our date, that fantastic limo ride - not quite sure what that flatulence smell you mentioned because I never caught wiff of it.

And when we danced to Jimmy Sturr's Polka Band, I felt that I was truly dancing among the stars. You hung the moon that night, Tommy, and that is not all that is hung.

Next time you are in town, please give me a call and we can 'wax' poetic about all the good times we shared. Since that night, I have not been able to look at a single man and, it appears, the same can be said about them and me.

God bless and keep practicing those 'ear breathing' exercises. Believe me they will come in handy once again.

    Stacia.

  • Just commenting....I don't think all new members should be put on watch.

Some come here to talk about the weeks game, some come here to ask about tailgates, and some want to start a thread to introduce themselves.

Requiring a mandatory watch period will cut down board membership, and I don't think a select group of inner circle members should more or less vote on the popularity of new members.

In my time here, crap flows two ways...I don't have a problem getting rid of the obvious trolls and troublemakers, but I don't think we should just start people out on less than equal footing.

    JMO for what it's worth.
