  • Well, we've won more games, on our third QB, than they have with their two-time champion franchise QB.

Because the rest of the team is toast. Just like TGZ said they would be.

They have drafted badly and often in the OL and it has killed them.

Z, it brings me great satisfaction our resident Steeler trolls are nowhere to be seen. Didya see some of the funny stuff on the local Pittspuke TV and radio?

"We're the Almighty Steelers- opposing teams should shit their pants at the mere sight of the Urine & Black, and let us win the games."

I have but one great fear- the Squealers are going to suck badly enough to draft Javedon Clowney.

  • Jadeveon Clowney isn't a world beater, but he is very good.

He has the possibility of being better than Peppers was early on, but he also is a large bust factor.

  • Yeah...wheres the idiot that said Antonio Brown was better than Mike Wallace...hows that working out?...fuck you stools...rot in hell for all I care...and they already drafted a QB in Landry Jones who has a windup slower than Bygone Leftwich

He is better than mike wallace. Compare their stats so far this season, wallace is a one trick pony getting paid 70 million.

of course. Ben still has years left in him, they're not going to draft ANY of these qb's. Bens problem is that terrible o line. They will absolutely take Clowney. In a couple years him and Jones will have them an elite defense again.

  • Mike Wallace: Ugh. So glad we didn't sign him.

Ben: He's still pretty awesome and one of the toughest quarterbacks in the NFL. Makes every throw. Oh, and he went to Miami (O.), so he must be brilliant (!).

If they rally, it'll be because of him.

  • Shep is there a qb in the league whose praises you don't sing?

from what i've seen of him, he's an elite pass rusher but also does the stuff you don't see on TV well like holding up at the point. He's a freak. His work ethic definitely remains to be seen. I'm not going to completely hold it against him that he's coasting this year cause there is a shit ton of money for him on the line. But I would absolutely be happy if the browns could take him and get Miller in the later rounds...let Hoyer start next season. I would rather keep Clowney away from pgh than to take another flyer on one of these college qb's.

He'd have to move to OLB for us and I just don't see that happening. We already have three solid OLB's and Groves.

Clowney is a nice guy and an athletic freak, but it's tough for me to spend a top 5 pick on a DE when we have so many other pressing needs.

I would expect him to have better numbers based on opportunities to catch the ball, just on the fact he has a better QB throwing him the ball wich, is not exactly rocket science there....As far as who distributes the ball. I'm sure Tannehil will progress..It's like comparing an ant to an elephant.

  • steeler fans laughed at me when i told them of their soon demise 2 years ago, how we'd be on an upswing and how they were getting old and gonna suck. well who's laughing now bitches?

Browns fans have no reason to laugh until we defeat the Steelers on a regular basis.

  • THEY SUCK. Need further details? Head to the Squeelers board.

  • I don't look at this as anything being wrong in Pittsburgh. I look at it as everything being right in Pittsburgh, and them re-assuming their rightfull place

Some are looking to light a little fire under HC Tomlin's seat...

"I was a Tomlin fan, like most of us are/were, but the true measure of a coach is what he does under extreme adversity, but his recent M.O. is to blame players; threaten players; never once looking at the coaching staff as part of the blame or solution. Look back at the drafts and tell us how well you did. You and Colbert look into the mirrorโ€”it will be as plain as the nose on your face."

  • I don't think you can underestimate how much Big Ben taking sacks has done to his career too. Guys like Brady and Manning have been statues for pretty much their whole careers. Hell the second Brady sees people coming most times he just gets down to avoid a hit (not that it's a bad thing). Dude has taken a beating pretty much his whole NFL career and I think that catches up to you eventually.

I hope the Browns add to his misery the next time we see them. How about matching that 9 sack game we gave him a couple of years ago?

  • Sack Big Ben and then tea bag him!! I would laugh so hard I'd need a paramedic.

It's not like comparing an ant to an elephant. Mike Wallace has never been a great route runner. He's not good in traffic and his hands are not in the elite category. Now by saying that I'm not saying that Antonio Brown has elite hands BUT what he does do is run terrific routes, he's very strong in traffic and he's very elusive. He's also not to shabby in the speed department. Wallace on the other hand is other worldly fast and that's why he got paid to play in Miami. I don't care who is throwing to either receiver. Brown is better all around and honestly it's not something many people would argue. Ben on the other hand has been off this year, granted he's running for his life due to injuries on the offensive line and growing pains but even when he's had time back there his throws have been questionable at times. It's probably time you stop acting like you know a damn thing about anything outside Cleveland sports and even then I'd question your know how.

As far as the rest of the thread is concerned Ryan Clark is done, hell i think he's already acknowledging his departure by piping up on just about every NFL issue possible (A major annoyance for me and other Pittsburgh sports fans) grooming himself for the booth. Ziggy Hood is a monumentus flop and Steve McClendon is better suited at defensive end. Heyward is about the only truly bright spot on the defensive line as he's really coming in to his own. Ultimately our defensive line isn't getting pressure, Jarvis Jones was thrown in a little soon which is why he was pulled back and Worilds just isn't a starter in the NFL. Woodely has also been hit or miss. Right now the defense is the problem in Pittsburgh and the offensive line is consistently injured or underperforming. All of which translates to more losses than wins. The silver lining in all of this is the shot at a top 10, possibly top 5 draft pick and that may be all that's needed to right hte ship. In addition to a few free agents. Bottom line my Steelers are done this year, but they sure as hell aren't done long term so you all can cut that parade route short. Enjoy the dismal season for the black and GOLD and hope you can win the two games this season.

Like Morgan Freeman said in Ironman- "Steelers don't sign Free Agents, haven't you got the news?"

I posted elsewhere V- you just named a laundry list of holes you have to fill- and you're going to do that magically in one off season? With a hell of a lot of luck, make that 2 see ya in about 2016, if you hit on all your picks- BTW Ben will be 34 and beat to a pulp by then, so wouldn't be surprised if you're in the QB market too. Bubby Brister and Kordell Stewart ring any bells?

Saw on PPG your fans aren't taking kindly to Tomlin's handling of his first taste of real adversity. Seriously- suck for another 12 years and your entitled fans (if there's any left) will know what we've been through.

Oh I was going to rag on your wrs but I decided not to- they're having decent years- not going to trade you Gordon for either of them right now. LOL a few years back I said there were maybe 2 Browns that could start on the Steelers- well at least on D it's the other way around now. We have DL backups that would be starting for you- and don't even start on what the Browns secondary looks like compared to yours. Joe Haden is heading to the Pro Bowl, Ward may make it as a backup, Skrine has come on in his third year, and Gipson is a solid S. Might give you the edge at a couple LB positions. Enjoy the basement- that's where you were for about 30 years before 1970.
