Honestly, it sounds like Schwartz just isn't used to or doesn't like flying. I've been in plenty of landings like that, and it's normal in crosswind landings for one wing to be much closer to the ground than the other.

man i almost missed my flight from frankfurt to philly cuz the boyz had me out on the town all night. i just made it (and you had to wear your dress uniforms) running to the gate. i know i stunk up the whole row on that big ass 747 3 deep in the middle 2 next to the windows.
kept drinking gin and tonics for the nine hour flight and even though my bladder was about to burst couldn't embarrass myself or the U.S> army by standing up and having to go piss, so i just waited until we landed and bomblasted the first men's room i saw.
been on a plenty tough flights. the best was when flying from LA to hawaii and cc deville from the band poison was on the plane. i had just got out of the army and partying my ass off and he's at the bar in the lux lounge in first class.
i go to him "man you must have the life, in a top band flying to hawaii to film 'MTV rocks' you got all the chicks in the world, c'mon man tell me you don't party your ass off?"
"no man, we just chill. no big deal."
2 months later after seeing the show of them (poison) in hawaii on their little boogie boards he goes into rehab from doing too much coke.
i was like mutherfucker, i knew it! at least that douchebag could have shared!
80's...the decade of new wave. punk, techno, rap had just come out and you didn't have to worry about sexually transmitted diseases until like 85.
hit my primetime in the primetime.
oh btw: 2 great airline crash scenes (movies) tom kanks in the fedex cargo plane in 'castaway' and jeff bridges in the movie 'fearless'.

It seems that every major league team has some sort of disaster contingency plan for replenishing a team's roster, including the NFL:

Interesting stuff. Obviously no commissioner wants to have to envoke these rules, but the rules have to be in place. You can't just make them up after a team plane goes down or transit bus gets hit by a train after stalling on the tracks.

I think after the Marshall and Wichita St. incidents the major leagues were fully aware of the possibility of something happening. Thurman Munson's death may also have contributed to their awareness.
