    Nope, Gordon is here. Chud will claw and bite to keep him here.

    How to make them worse next year? Easy, trade our 2nd 1st round pick, plus probably another, to move up and grab some over rated, over hyped, workout warrior QB. That's how.

    Or, don't add a QB. That would work too...

    Agree

  • No one in the college ranks has showed any "must have" player. We should cut all our ties with the bums on this team and draft the BPA in this year draft.

    I am just saying Gordon has value. might as well take advantage of it next year. use the pick to get or trade to get a fucking good QB. any quality QB can make any WR have a good year.

    You just contradicted yourself- hate to point it out. Sure, Gordon has value- so does Megatron, or Peyton Manning for that matter- but as you said- "No one in the college ranks has showed any "must have" player." So you want us to trade our one only only damn stud offensive threat to take a crap shoot in the draft? Please go away and sober up.

    @lbc-mike said:

    LOL. didn't we have this talk regarding Hillis a few years back?

    Now you're down to groveling that Gordon's season is a one year fluke? Hate to tell you he's getting at least one more year to prove it's not.

    Can you imagine a decent quality QB thowing to him? I honestly like, Jordon, Haden, Gordon, Oib-one-canoli, Thomas, Sheard, Mingo, our DT's, Gordon, Benji, Lewis. This is our core. everyone else can go in my honest opinion. get a veteran CB, an above average ILB and LE in FA. The rest in of our needs in the draft.

    GET a db coach that teaches, and gets guys to not let Wr's behind them

    We win 2 more games with that teaching

    Great receivers can perform despite the coverage... Gordon will be great... More importantly it should open things up for Cameron, and whatever weapons we can add

    Not worried about Gordon. He caught passes from Weeden. So if we get a real QB, he can only do better

    Gordon, unless he gets suspended, he will be the 2nd best WR in the league. ANd the only reason I think Calvin Johnson will be better is because Stafford

    Do you not think other teams will cover Gordon like crazy? he is our only threat? Cam has been a non factor with Campbell and Weeds. They will cut our field in half at our current stat next year unless it changes. We can be the many teams that have a sole good player and not do shit.

    Other teams try to cover Megatron an he still goes off. Same with a team putting 8 in the box against Adrian Peterson. You can only stop greatness for sooooo long

    Something is missing in your equation though. I doubt either Campbell or Weeden will be starting next year. I think Hoyer is going to get that chance, and he´s proven he can get it to any of the receivers (if they can CATCH it is the other question).The more teams double cover Gordon, the more others get open.

    Zombo,

    so we keep Gordon. We do not have a #2, Beniman is our slot. TE position We have Cameron, we need another threat at the position, C and G positions we neeed. RB. We have lewis, we need a good fast, strong back also. We need an upgrade on ILB and CB . FB needed should have never gotten rid of vickers. Punter, Kicker, Fast elusive punt returner.

    Yeah, right dream on- super studs at every freaking position- I hate to break you the news, but that doesn't happen today in the NFL. The Browns have one glaring hole- and it's called Brandon Weedon.

    There is nothing even close to a rational thought in that post... or anything you are saying on this thread.

    Who in their right mind looks at a guy like Gordon, and thinks, "trade bait!" I guess only deranged Browns fans!

    Keep drinkin...

    Bingo! Most idiotic thread in a long, long time...

    @typicalbrowns said:

    Why trade a goddamn gem like Gordon who just made history at 22 years old, for an inferior reciever? No way. Not one receiver in this draft is as good as Gordon.

    With possible exception of Watkins... who I would be very happy to see us nab...

    Do you not think they are trying to do that now?

    If there were a couple of decent threats ( meaning running routes and catching a ball) Gordon will not be closed off the field next year.

    While I agree with alot of the weeden bashing going on i cant put the jags loss on him. He threw one pick where cameron overran his route and one pick were little didnt cut back. the safety was just making the best out of a bad situation. the strip fumble is his fault always protect the ball. considering he played better yesterday than he has all year completing 60% and gaining nearly 370 yds on 3 touchdowns. anyone saying a great QB can make bad WR's good is just...wrong...it doesent even make any sense...even mathmatically its wrong...a good reciever needs to be able to do 3 things. run a good route, Get open and heres a shocker Catch the ball. they need to be able to do those things consistantly. Little needs work in all 3 areas. and bess needs to learn how to catch again. I'm not advocating weeden for next year not based on his skill as a passer but his inability to lead the offense. he would make a fine backup qb for us or any team for that matter.as long as he continues to develop as a leader and continues to develop his mental game. he could even become a starter again if he developed those 2 traits. its highly unlikely considering his age and generally relaxed attitude. but its possible.

    In regards to what the browns can do for next year to improve the team I would suggust using the 2 1st round picks to take a QB 1st then a WR with 2nd pick. followed by a power HB in the 2nd then using the 2 thirds on another WR and then a Power FB. ILB,RG,FS and CB need to be addressed at some point during the draft/FA.

    In regards to josh gordan even though he's a great WR I could very easily see the FO trading him only on the basis of his off the field activities. You can say the same thing about haden but when i saw him nearly weeping after screwing up his coverage in the closing minutes of the game yesterday. I would have to lean that haden is a safer bet but may still prove me wrong.
