  • Wow. Bad PI call but we've got hosed twice this year by bad calls that cost us the game, against the Panthers and the Jets, so we get one back today at the expense of Cleveland.

Awesome performance by your team. You're going to be a dangerous AFC contender in the years to come

    Sucks for Gronkowski though.

  • Honestly, you guys say we always get the calls but the truth is we don't. We get hosed a lot and when we do everyone celebrates us getting blatantly screwed, but when they do go our way, everyone cries foul and says we always get them.

Officials cost us the game this year against the Jets. Officials screwed us in the final seconds against the Panthers.

Last year the replacement officials screwed us really bad with the Ravens in week 3, and even might of given them the win on a field goal that didnt even look good.

Nepatriots you know your golden boy team was handed that game. The patriots lost.

It was a ticky tacky PI call, no doubt about it, but the ball was right on his finger tips, so if he was even slightly impeded, the defender stopped a TD pass with interference.

I'll have to look at it again. I just think at first glance it was really ticky tacky, and if it happened the other way, I'd be raging.

That said, you guys got some zebra gifts that game too. The whistle blow on that fumble in the first quarter was BS, and that Gordon catch that hit the ground on a critical 1st down for the Browns was BS as well.

His forward progress was already stopped which is why the whistle blew. Gordon knew the play was over. But even calling that a gift, patriots led in gifts that game at least 15-1. Must feel nice knowing the referees always have your back..

I didn't see the Jets game so I can't comment on that, but the Panthers call was correct. Gronkowski didn't even see the pass and wasn't in the play. By rule, pass interference can't be called if it is deemed that the receiver couldn't have made a play on the ball. It's just like an uncatchable ball call. So you can complain about that one, but it was the correct call..

    Tuck Rule

Your team broke the new rule on FGs that's why you lost. The play in Carolina was, again, by the book. So in the games this year that you were "hosed" the correct calls were made.

Ticky tack pass interference? He wasn't touched.

It wasn't even certain if he was going to break the tackle yet or not. That was a really premature whistle blow and it should of been a fumble and you know it.

Let's just agree the officiating this season has been awful from top to bottom

  • I'm sorry if that link to a game back in 1998 isn't something you remember because you were too busy still being a Giants fan.

The Little fumble was definitely pathetic but from what they showed of the Gordon catch it looked good to me, of course I'm biased.

The browns did not suck this game. They played outstanding on both sides of the ball. The ONLY mistake you could say is going for 2 so early in the game. And if you noticed, we lost by 1 point..

Good teams up by 14 with 2:30 = win, bad = loss

The are a shit team but for some reason we all accept that

We are glad you didn't watch the game to know what the hell you are talking about. It was a royal screwjob by the officials, plain and simple......

The whistle blew. Plays over. Wtf is there to talk about?

Brady throws the ball to your centers feet after dropping two steps and they pick the flag up and say no grounding.

Campbell stands on the NUMBERS and throws the ball to his running back that gets blasted and they call grounding.

Personal foul in the back of the endzone guy leads with his shoulder when the pats need help.

Ball hits 91 of the pats on the onside kick and it's cool pats ball.

Danny A hits a touchdown and throws the ball into the stands. No 15 yard flag.

All Seems legit to you. And you whine to use about a Jets game call.

Seriously guy, get the fuck outta here nobody cares what a pats fan has to say about anything. Go grease up your hair and put on a scarf and watch your hero give his press conference and the national media laugh about how the pats got help and then move on to the next game.

So Fozzy did recover the onside kick like 99.9% of all onside kicks?

and yes, we should have (and did in all respects) win the game today w/o any question of bad reffing.

but calling a spade a spade, the refs looked like a black 5 card straight flush, ace to ten.

    This.

  • I was at the game today, wearing my brown and white jersey in a sea of red and blue. Browns played in a way that made me proud to be a browns backer. I think what bothered me the most was everyone around me predicted exactly what happened at the start of the game. Browns will play hard, lead until the final two minutes and then lose. At the two minute warning, the Patriot and Browns fans were still confident in that outcome, given he history of both teams, and it proved to be accurate. I love my Browns, but I'm at a lose for how we can change our luck or psychology of losing. I get that every team can have a slump or have the ball bounce in an unfavorable direction. But with the Browns, it's a constant. Even in a 10 win season, we don't make the playoffs. It's the darndest thing.

If I'm the owner, I would do something dramatic - not sure what. I think it starts with not being amongst he lowest in the salary cap. Get proven winners. Balance the team with talent on both sides of the ball. Bring in the veterans in key positions to support the youth. Put an angry dog on the helmet. Leave nothing to chance but chance itself.

This. Plus the personal foul on Jordan Cameron on the final drive wasn't called even though the ref was standing right there when Gregory launched himself at Jordan. That would have made it a 43 yd field goal which would have won the game.Even the sportscasters on Sunday Night Football caught that one.

Forget the past. The clock was reset when we hired Chud.

Teams must learn how to win. Heard this for years before I was convinced of the truth of this.

Step one is to get in the game... to give yourself a chance to win against good competition. We did this today. We did this better today than we have done all season.

Today was a day Chud & Co. can build upon.

  • I usually read this thread the next morning and enjoy it, but I had to stop this time when Campbell threw the TD to Cameron ... couldn't relive it and read as you guys go through it.

Sick ending. I'm sure fans of other teams just laugh because New England is New England we are just a big joke to everybody ... but it is really tough on those of us that are invested.

Maybe we'll beat Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh ... we deserve some holiday cheer.
