  • chuds a fuckin dud.

after this season is over him and norv will have to wear diapers after the hole haslam tears them.

i see nothing new or exciting about play calling or the growth of our playmakers under these goofs.

yet (even though the guy's a stiff) shurmur looks better right now as an OC than turner.

Seriously? Gordon and Cameron have blossomed with three different QBs throwing to them, one that is legally Retarded.

Gordon has 1400 yards in a vertical attack ... Murmur rarely threw the ball down field.

guess that all has changed since he went to the city of brotherly love and has a real QB and a real RB and a coach above him who chud wishes he could sniff the taint of.

I agree 100%. I understand that New England is easier to run on than most teams, but the Browns don't have a short-yardage back that can be counted on to get the 2 yards WITH the OL that currently exists.

I like the aggressive play calling this season - shows the staff is trying to WIN ballgames, instead of playing NOT TO LOSE.

Aggressive, and stupid are two different things. Going for a 4th & 1 at midfield is aggressive, and like most coaching decisions, you're a genius if you make it and a moron if you don't. But not taking what is as close to a 100% sure thing as you can get extra point, for a 50/50ish (don't know the exact stat) gamble 2pt IN THE SECOND QUARTER, is the pure definition of stupid.

Tell me again, what was the final score? Would that 100% guaranteed 1pt come in handy for us?

  • Chud knows he has trouble running the ball and had an inferior team. He wanted as many points as he could get early and try to hold Brady off. Not a bad plan. He's aggressive and with a 4 win team you can't fault him for that

  • i fault chud, norv and horton for 75% of the reasons we have lost the games we have.

who's the QB guru that got hired cuz he could fix weeden? who'd the off coord that turns TEs into super stars and QBs into legends? (see how well rivers is playing this year?)

who's the d coord that is going to be the next mike tomlin?

well there's a search party out for all of them. maybe they fell through the ice.

doesn't take long for a NYer to smell bums. live in a box and piss and shit in a pickle jar. then ask you for $5 dollars to buy some ripple.

Yes , because Rivers is now unshackled and has an audible system to work with...Voila!!!

Yep, I agree with the decision but not the play call. Campbell was throwing well, they should've tried to convert the two with a play-action pass. I do think that Chud was too aggressive against Jags when Weeden threw 2 interceptions and fumbled. He should've hit the brakes and just gotten Weeden out of the situation and recoup in the locker room at high time.

You'd need a brain surgeon to fix Weeden's problems. It isn't Chud or Norv's fault Weeden isn't mentally quick enough to adapt to the game at the NFL level.

Jordan Cameron is having the best year of his career, as are Haden, Buster Skrine, Josh Gordon and Phil Taylor.

The Browns aren't a team that you are going to fix in one season, but they are way better than last year, and I don't care what the team's record is.

  • Wow, this thread is full of lousy.

The choice to go for 2 was probably correct, tho it is close. Whether it was converted or not is irrelevant.

Process, not results fellas. If you walk into a casino and put a hundred on black and it hits, is it a good bet? No, bad bet, good result.

Good site here http://www.advancednflstats.com/ and an article from him http://fifthdown.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/09/17/a-new-study-on-fourth-downs-go-for-it/

Chud is near top of the NFL in 4th down decisions. We should be excited to have him.

Wrong again. As somebody else already said... if you would take time to read through the comments...

New England scored to go up 1 pt, and went for 2 which was unsuccessful. Remember that?

If they would have kicked an extra point, they win by 2 pts. Still with me?

... meaning the decision to go for 2 was exactly the correct decision b/c in that scenario if we convert, and they kick an extra point at the end, it's a tie game going into OT... get it???

13-0 in the 2nd quarter is NO better than 12-0... a TD and extra point still beat you at some point. Early in the game is the perfect time to go for 2 to prevent defeat at the hands of an extra point...

  • I would love to play against a team you coached...........Love it.
