  • Why are you upset Woodrow? Bestiality is perfectly normal. Some people are born with that desire, right? And you can't pray it away or change it right? Come on it's no different than being tall or having red hair.

And if Fido is 3 that's 21 dog years correct? So we're good huh?

    😁

  • Way back in 1977ish I read an interview with Steve Martin in Playboy (yes, even then I read it for the articles).

At the time of the interview Martin was known for his standup comedy--let's get small, I've got HAPPY FEET, etc.

He had yet to star in 'The Jerk'. Martin attended college in the late 60's and even though that was the time of

the hippies, Martin had rather short hair and dressed conservatively. For the younger folks, let me assure you,

in the late 60's and early 70's, men's hair length was a HUGE issue in many an American household.

Anyway, the interviewer asked Steve Martin about how he was treated; a conservative looking young man in college when

many college students identified as hippies--- long-haired, unwashed, anti-establishment, etc, etc. Steve Martin's answer to

that question 35 years ago still resounds today. He said that he was generally treated with hostility, suspicion, and more

than a little derision. He observed that the hippies preached love and tolerance and acceptance--as long as you agreed

with them. He noted that they weren't all that tolerant and accepting and respectful if you stated an opinion that wasn't in

    lockstep with their doctrine.

Fast forward to today. People who preach love, tolerance, inclusion, respect of others viewpoints. Right up to the

point where someone disagrees with them. You're allowed your opinion, as long as we approve.

  • A&E likes making money. Slack jawed yokel is standing in the way of making more money by comparing gay people to dog fuckers. The yokel can scream that opinion from the roof tops. However, A&E will not let it hit them in the wallet. This is a right-to-work/contract law issue. Has jack shit to do with freedom of speech.

Personally, I feel the guy is an imbecile. Being an imbecile is not illegal. Some of them can even make it to public office with zero experience.

I take that the same kind of way though. He doesn't get why you'd be attracted to a guy, any more than you'd be attracted to an animal.

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men,” he says. Then he paraphrases Corinthians: “Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers—they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

    That's the quote

I don't believe he was intending to say that homosexual acts lead to beastiality. I believe what he was getting, in the context of his interview is that beastiatliy along with homosexuality is also sin. I do see that using the word "morph" lends to the conclusion, but in the context of the next sentence he separates beastiality from the homosexuals. And who knows, maybe where they are from, beastiality occurs more often than we think.

But let us all be honest. The issue isn't about what is said, but rather, whether he can say it. And that's the point. The media wants to make him a hate monger, and that's not the case. They are twisting and distorting his intent.

  • ugh.

Didn't we already go through this with Chic-Fil-a?

  • I think it's hilarious that he got interviewed by GQ, of all magazines.

Ha! Yes, this tickled me. Does this also mean cal is a closet homosexual with undying love for Obama? And Mao? And Woody?

    Lol, the Freudian implications.

Misspelling a word is not ironic in any way. Calling something ironic when it isn't, probably is.

Everyone is trying to be so authoritative on this Thread, especially concerning the bestiality comment Robertson made. Thus, the lack of consensus on the spelling is ironic.

    Seriously? "pr nightmare" ???

Sorry, but who cares about "pr" ? Or "pc" ? Controversial? To WHO? Truly believing like he does is bad?

Come on, man. There is serious good in that entire message. In his experience, and in Bradshaw's, do you doubt

that Bradshaw or he ever faced defensive lines that happened to be all black? Would it be fine if he said

"chased by a bunch of great big white guys trying to stomp you into the turf" ??? Perhaps, since Bradshaw

and he are white. Imagine that the "great big black defensive linemen" said racial things to them, and that's

why Bradshaw perhaps made a point of it?

It's always controversy to libs and those who, albeit subconciously, follow libs' lead - "if you think differently,

you are bad. We always get to decide what is special and acceptable."

Nah. I don't care a flying fig, either, that anybody thinks there was "controversy" about Phil's speech here,

and it is very similar to the speeches he's given in California, and many other places.

I've seen Phil in person, and he exudes gentleness, humor, and sincere love for God, his way of life, his family,

and the rest. "pr nightmare" is just somebody's hateful way of trying to diminish someone being and believing

and thinking differently than the person who just can't stand other people being, and believing, and thinking

outside of what is "accepted" by the hateful "clique".

  • He said "great big black men and white men". That video didn't show me anything offensive. However, the guy is still a backwards hillbilly.

  • Cal, just because something isn't offensive to you, doesn't mean it is only offensive to a small lib brainwashed clique....

It is bad PR for A&E. They are a company.

This. If I owned a restaurant, I wouldn't want my waiters outside talking about how they think black people are disgusting. They have a right to that dipshit opinion but I will not let them push away customers on my time or dime.

  • Little bit of difference in the situations hoss. Duck Dynasty is about 3 redneck brothers who hunt. Everyone who watches, knows this. Do you really thinks these guys like gays? And did A&E? Hell no. This is just catering to the queer Lesbians and gay and freak show community, bottom line.
