Here are the head coaches in the NFL who have served one year ....or less, and were done, since 1970. I am not including herein any "interim coaches". Just guys that started the year as a team's new HC....and were never invited back, and in a few cases didn't even get to stay a full season...marked by #:

Marty is the only one that went one to have further success in the NFL, as he did a nice job with the Chargers.
Oh and Monte Clark,who went on to coach a decent Lions team.
As I recall, Clark was fired not for performance, but because new ownership came in and he refused to yield the power he had been given by the previous administration.

You forgot Cam Cameron in Miami.
In all of the cases in this millennium, excluding Jackson (Mora, Rhodes, Mularkey, Cameron, Petrino, Shell), the next coach instantly improved the teams record the next season.
In three of the cases (Mora, Petrino, Cameron), the team made it to the playoffs the following year. The Packers made it to the playoffs two years after Rhodes was fired.
