Jonathan Paul Manziel

Why's it all hype? Just because you don't like him? You can say that about any QB.
I posted the video because he's a potential candidate for us to draft, he's working for one the most respected QB coaches around and has been for the last two off season. He's got a chip on his shoulder, and busts his ass everyday to improve his craft. Great attribute if you ask me. I like what he brings, and am trying to show you why. His entire life he's been told he can't do this and can't do that, and has proven people wrong over and over....If thats hype then give me The Great White Hype

so I had a couple hours in the car today and listened to the sports station. Apparently Johnny Manziel gave an interview to somebody down in Texas pimping himself to be a high or number one draft pick. Spoke of the Cleveland Browns in particular saying that he would love to be part of the Browns and accompany them on a trip to the Super Bowl. I'm assuming his agents or managers decided that would be a good idea. Seems like the rest of the interview made him sound more like a down to earth hard working and studious professional. Looking to shit can the party boy image and the lone wolf moniker I'm assuming.
Seems to be hard at work studying the offense ive schemes of all the coaches you may be looking for a quarterback so the interview goes well.

merge this with the other manziel thread
BECAUSE
if you've watched espn at all today you'll hear manziel's quote:
"i want everyone from the janitor at reliant stadium to mcnair the owner to say i am 100% can't miss and i want to keep this texas kid in texas."
yeah sounds like to me like he wants to win a superbowl for cleveland.
GTFO.

He said if Houston doesn't draft him it'd be a mistake.
All this self selling hype is certainly alarming.
I disagree with you about Bridgewater though. He's light, but he isn't as big of an injury risk as manziel IMO because he is very good at staying out of harms way.
I'd be pretty satisfied with Clowney, Watkins, or Bridgewater at #4. Especially Clowney.
Manziels comments about Houston make it sound like he'd way rather be in Houston than Cleveland though.

HE CAN HIT CLAY PIGEONS... SIGN HIM NOW!!!!! this hype train has been going on since he won the Heisman

@walterwhite said:
"If something happens, and it's the Cleveland Browns, I'm going to pour my heart out for the Dawg Pound and try to win a Super Bowl for Cleveland," he says. "I don't care if they've had 20 starting quarterbacks since 1999. I'm going to be the 21st and the guy that brought them the Super Bowl." - Johnny Manziel
That settles it, Manziel it is. Shows up to work wearing a barbed wire jock strap.

The rest of the article makes it sound like he'd really like to play in Texas

I bet if we had the first pick it would sound like he couldn't wait to get to Cleveland.

there's already another thread with this shit on it.
can't we just have one big johnny football suck-fest thread?

great another brady queef draft party!!!

he's (clowney) by all consideration (at this point) the best player in the draft. period.
drafting him is just a much safer move. of course there'll be people saying "you don't go through life being safe" and in a lot of cases that's true. but i wouldn't gamble my future in a card game with a pair of kings.
hey if farmer thinks he's our guy then i'll trust his judgement over lombardi's.
the thing that bothers me is this almost cult following of little fags that reminds me a lot of what happened with tebow.
let's wait until the combine. hell maybe i'll start sucking for JF if he's THAT good.

Hey, if a circle jerk could bring us a SB Championship, maybe we need to talk about meeting up for a weekend.

I am sure at least a few girls would want to join.....I take dibbs on being between them.

If they pass on him let me know when the next QB with this kinda potential and high profile is willing to come to Cleveland...hell there were people here worried he wouldn't even play here.
I love this. This is the kinda stuff that he uses to motivate himself to work and train even harder...the man is right...everyone who passes will be very sorry

i guess i'll be crying in my drink.....
when he gets carted off the field in houston.
farmer ain't fallin for this horse shit.

Screw "willing" to come to Cleveland. Most of these guys in the draft are willing to go anywhere they can be drafted high for a fat paycheck and I do not blame them. But come on don't buy into the whole marketing hype bullshit. Now if the guy had said throughout the interview Cleveland or bust that's a different story but he didn't. This guy has got a high dollar staff of propaganda machine re-imaging marketing people on board he is going to say what everyone wants to hear.
If he ends up in Cleveland I will support the hell out of him as a fan until he wins or crashes and burns but I am not drinking the Kool-aid yet.

The difference in money between him going 1 or 4 ain't gonna be a whole lot. I guarantee he would rather go to Texas if the picks were reversed and we had the #1. I love the kid as a college qb but he would have to sit for a min of two years, just like Rodgers did, before we started him. And in that interim he'd have to frame up some. If he starts for Texas next year you watch, toxic is dead on the money right. If not the 1st year than the 2nd...he will go down and he will be out for a long time.

If this is all we need to win just stick with Trick shot Tanney he has a video just as good, hell for that matter take Dude Perfect as an UDFA

He played 2 years in the toughest conference in College Football and hasn't missed a game. He's taken plenty of big hits to show he's durable and tough as nails. His injury concern is being blown way out of proportion.
