He's just stating the obvious. Everyone here knows this and been talking about it since last season's first game.

I agree with mik. Get us another top CB and the NFL will be talking nothing but good things about Browns D.

Big difference between bashing and criticism.

That's the kind of losing culture mentality that needs to be eradicated in Cleveland. It's like letting some hot broad walk all over you because you don't want to lose her. .."Well let's shutup and not say anything bad because it's Cleveland we're lucky to have them"

It's the NFL not the NBA whether you're the 53rd or 1st guy on the roster you should be held accountable and criticized. That doesn't mean Haden isn't appreciated and isn't an intregal part of the D because he is,but we need to get to the point where no one player is bigger than the team.

i understand the criticism but telling a guy to shut the fuck up when he basically telling the truth about what he sees, is hardly a reason for that reaction.

the guys a pro-bowler how many years now. he doesn't puff his chest out and do little dances like some Nwords do every time he makes a play. he's a humble, great athlete. i think joe thomas trumps him by one as being the face of the franchise and don't think anyone is trying to become bigger than the team.

maybe this was a cry out for help. "HEY FARMER, CAN YOU GET ME SOMEBODY THAT CAN PLAY ACROSS FROM ME!"

I think one of the reasons some people tend to criticize Haden is because he is the teams mvp so they expect unreasonably more out of him and expect him to be the savior.

Joe Haden is not the problem with our team, he is part of the solution. No, he isn't perfect, but he's the best CB we have so let's just concentrate on improving the other areas that actually need it.

Well yeah but Nickers is gonna be Nickers... love Hadens personality and character, I wasn't saying he is trying to be bigger than the team I just meant fans, media, front office in losing teams allow player to become bigger than the team.

It has to be tough playing like Haden does over 95 percent of the time,

and the passes keep getting completed other places on the field constantly.

Skrine is terrific little guy, but he isn't a #2 cb based on his short height alone.

Especially playing in the division they do. Haden has fire - I'm glad he spoke out.

Skrine actually played pretty damn good this year.

I do think we need another CB and FS in rounds 1-3 but there is no bigger need than QB.

We haven't had a good QB since Bernie Fucking Kosar

Little off topic but a lot of people want a big corner, now ideally you want a big guy but I wouldn't sacrifice speed & quickness for size in our scenario. Haden does great against the bigger recievers but stuggles against smaller faster guys normally.

I'm willing to take a chance on Hoyer and draft for other needs to build a team around him... couldn't be happier that Seattle & San Frans style of football is trending now and the superstar QB or bust plan isn't the golden road anymore.

A guy no one mentions is Khalil Mack... tired of seeing guys go in the 6-12 range like Kuehchly, Watt,Ware,Willis etc...

Mack is a beast and versatile enough to make the move to inside.

CK and Russell Wilson have been some pretty damn good QB's so I"m not going to sell them short of being "Super Star QB's" but yes their defenses are all world.

Yeah they've been good but I tend to agree with what Ray Farmer had to say.

"People seem to think you can't win unless you have a superstar quarterback. In the NFL, the vast majority of quarterbacks are guys that have to be managed. You have to put them in situations where they can be successful, and when you get them out of their comfort zone, or you put them in situations where they fail, it's not going to be positive for your club. The position isn't as complicated as people think it is."

I think lockdown corner and franchise QB are two of the most overused terms there are, I think there's less than a handful of transcendent "franchise" QB's in the NFL.

The attitude of the fans here do not have a cabbage fart to do with how well the team performs....if that is what you are referring to.

If you are saying there may be a loser attitude amongst the owners/FO/coaches/players on this team....then yes, that does need to change.....and quite frankly, primarily, that is the job of the Head Coach.

What I am mainly talking about is the culture of the Browns. But if you consider free agents to be somewhat in the fan category and their perception of a franchise (more prominent in the NBA) as well then that absolutely can have an effect. Obviously it starts at the top and fans make almost zero impact.

What I was getting at was the star player can do no wrong stuff.

I didn't hear the broadcast. But players should not bad mouth their team to the media. They should keep it in house. All it does is cause problems within the organization.

Especially a hotshot CB that was suspended for 4 games and hurt his team.
