NorrinRadd12 will be released by The Browns Board today

I don't like to toot my own horn but 'toot, toot'. If this happens I called it first yesterday ... If it doesn't happen though? I was just messing around.

Profootballtalk reports Darrelle Revis is unwilling to take a pay cut to facilitate a trade.
It's hardly a surprise. Revis' best card is to refuse any and all requests to take a pay cut, forcing his release. He'd then be free to pick his own team, and get some guarantees beyond 2014. Even the Browns would reportedly insist on a pay cut in any potential trade. It's unclear what the Raiders' stance is. The Raiders have the cap room to absorb Revis' $16 million salary.I highly doubt browns will go after him after reading this!

We don't need Revis, what we DO need to be doing is looking for the next Revis.

While we're at it, we'll just go ahead and find the next Peyton Manning

Hardy Har. I get it. Everyone wants the next Manning etc. My point is that Revis' best days may be behind him. You want to throw 10 mil a year for a guy who is on the downslope? I'd rather take shots getting young talent. Adding a veteran to an already established team is one thing. You can't rebuild with also-rans. Hey while we're at it, we can lock up Chris Johnson and Steve Smith.

Revis is a CB. He's only 28

Revis has $0 guaranteed ... Not 1 dime. If we got him and he didn't work out you cut him and are not burnt out of some odd million dollars.
I'm not hundred it happens but if it did I'd be throught the roof.
-
If that's the case then why wouldn't you trade for a player that is signed through 2019, $0 guaranteed, and signed before 2 corners upped the market? He's the best and gets paid like it.Screw Revis. Davis signing just put the CB market thru the roof
Verner and the like are going to be getting paid too

His contract includes a provision to turn his base salary into a signing bonus, which can make his 2014 cap number $6.4M. On the open market Revis would get $18-20M a year.
No way. 16.4 M maybe. If he were to only cost 6.4 then any number of bites on that fishhook would have been made.
its true....he has a very strange contract. But the number being floated by obr insiders is 9 mil. It actually reads like a bunch of 1 year deals...No way. 16.4 M maybe. If he were to only cost 6.4 then any number of bites on that fishhook would have been made.

The trade is being finalized. It includes a first round pick. They're trying to work out the compensation for Alex Mack; the Buccaneers want him and he wants the Buccaneers. Instead of trying to come up with a contract that the Browns won't match they're trying to go about it a more civil way.

you ARE the source. well you know shit.
talking about a trade thru the raiders and back to cleveland is preposterous.
let's see what happens by 3 PM tomorrow when the bucs will owe him a million extra in bonus money if he's still on their roster.
you think a trade is going to happen when a player gets cut?
GTFO!

Why trade picks away tomorrow he will be released buy him then.
