Jonathan Paul Manziel

What if Watkins goes before the 4th pick? (very likely and I won't be upset if we draft him)
What if there is a QB there that we pick?
Who do you go after between Bortles, Bridgewater, Manziel, Clowney, Mack, trade down?
I've said many times I won't mind a qb @ #4- just make sure it's the right qb. Bridgewater is my choice there- (Teddy thinks pass first, then runs when he has to- he's in another world when it comes to pre snap reads compared to JF) Mike H likes Bortles, that's my second choice. One of the four- Bridgewater, Bortles, Clowney, or Watkins is certain to be there @ #4, that's why I'm violently against trading up.

So...I guess ole jonnys reply to scheme questions during the combine amounted to "ugh, I don't know. I was never coached to read defenses. They just told me to go make plays".
Seems to be the biggest reason why scouts aren't loving the kid.
Its a common question during interviews.....scout shows player a defensive set and asks him to break it down. Not often is said player unable to answer.
I have to laugh at most of you.....the opinions garnered by you "amateur scouts" just proves you need to retain your day jobs. If you couldn't see Jonny is a one read and run qb, you suck at breaking down film.
I'll rely on the opinions of those that have been through this before. Those who may still be wrong, but spend more time than you armchair GMs who only watch highlight reels. The real info is in the lowlights.....

I'm not sure if JFF has the arm for the AFCN. Here is a video with him in perfect passing conditions and he floats a lot of passes.

what i take out of that video is that evans is the # top 2 WR prospect (IMO #1 in the draft).
i also like the way the post edit guys elongated the video to make everyone look taller. true aspect ration is off big time. evans looks 8 feet tall and JF looks 6' 5".

with the 4th pick in the 2014 NFL draft, The Cleveland Browns select Ronda Rousey. Standing at 5'6" and 135 Rousey will immediatley be inserted into the Defensive back field.
Sorry the jamsion is starting to take effect.

I am ashamed, but I have it in me. . Also, if you have not tried the 18 year, you are missing out.

I haven't mentioned it-because it's so freaking obvious.
Any team that brings him in for a private workout and interview is going to put him through a Gruden QB Camp ringer- + with film breakdown- and a bunch of his "lowlights". Hey JF care to explain why you did this? -
cam newton couldnt even name a play or speak some auburn language.
yall manhate for JF is sad.Hes not gonna steal yalls girl or anything.hes gonna win games...that's a god thing

That is the point: you may have irrational manlove for Manziel. I am NOT convinced that he will win. Nor do I know that he can't win.
I am neutral on the subject. I am not an advocate for Manziel or any of the other prospects. I only care that whomever they do choose actually DOES win. Not whether I think he can or cannot.
-
I don't have irrational manlove for him,i wanna win,i want winners....like singletary
if we don't draft a QB we aren't drafting to win,you cant win without good QB play.
Among he,hoyer, weeden, bridgy, bortles,I thnk he has the highest chance to be a good QB.Its that simple

Again, that is just your opinion. What you or I think is irrelevent. What he does is all that is relevent. Talk again in say 3 years..
-
well who do you think should be the QB next year?

hoyer, until they sign a FA or draft a youngin who beats him out.
weeds and campbell are gone.
hey 2 years ago freeman was a manlove for kiper and mcshay and gruden (well who doesn't gruden love) and the first QB taken on a bad team. he got hurt and now he's a FA.
pick him up see what he's got and grab another QB in the draft. doesn't mean it has to be any of the top 4 'projected' great/good QBs. could be a later round pick to sit behind these guys to learn. hey mallett was a later round pick and NE won't let him go so does that mean he's great or they are just stuck with him. i would suggest belichick knows what he's got and is the next in line if brady ever goes down. does that mean he's the next peyton manning? hell no. but that's the same reasoning behind picking any one of the JF or teddys or bortles. no one ever knows until they put pads on and get hit.
i trust farmer now more than i did heckert (because there is no puppet pulling the strings above him). do you really think they (heckert mangini) wanted colt mccoy? that was all holmgren. as was weeden i believe.
too many chances of busts unless they are a legit franchise guy. hey who knows? maybe farmer thinks that of JF.
just too much risk IMO when you see the other options there @4.
-
freeman? hes trashed.he looked awful. worse than Campbell.
There will always be other options at a 4th pick.If your wating on a sure thing your gonna be waiting a long time because a sure thing goes first or second and no one is trading down away froma sure thing QB.. Im not willing to suffer through that season.
You know if they take him and its a miss its just a miss. But I totally believe they gotta get a Qb or its more of the same
-
that woulda been a lot o speed man.
-
well who do you think should be the QB next year?
I honestly don't really care. After going through the Weeden's, Campbell's McCoys, Quinn's, Andersons, Wallaces, Dilfers, Garcias, Holcombs, Couch's etc. etc. etc. I just want a motherfucker that can play and win and I don't give a shit what his name is.
Is that too much to ask?
-
You fight fire with fire.
Defense wins the division.
Defense is what Farmer is working on now.
Then come offense.
Then fight the right QB....
