  • Well, until they put the pads on and actually begin to play football, this will be my last word on the budding JM fiasco.

Until training camp, I will let the dead horse lay (lie?)

As I've already stated, JM has painted the target on his own back and is now giving the "judgmental losers"--damn those

meanies!!!---all the ammunition they need. Here's the thing--Browns fans were more than willing to give JM the benefit

of the doubt and wait and see what he showed on the football field. He said all the right things, etc. But he then went

directly to the behavior that his detractors have been using against him for the last 2 years. He--and he alone--has pissed

on all the goodwill he had as our potential answer to our QB problem. The obscenely rich person who signs his paycheck

suggested he calm the fuck down and JM essentially said "I guess I just don't give a fuck about all this nonsense". Fine.

But now, when he finally hits the field for real (not in shorts and tshirt, not training camp, not preseason, but the fucking NFL)

he'll be on a much shorter leash with Browns fans. Whereas the normal reaction after a bad game or two would normally

bring a reaction of, "Well, he's a rookie, whaddya expect?", now it's going to be "Whaddya expect, he spends his spare time

hanging out with Justin Beiber instead of climbing in the playbook." Of course it isn't fair. But what you fanboys who are lined up

to gently caress JM's nut sack don't understand is that PERCEPTION IS REALITY.

So now when Johnny finally hits the field he'll be in the very tough position of having to immediately light it up in order to justify

the circus he has wrought. And the fanboys will wail and gnash their teeth and bitch about the haters and how unfair they're being

and they'll be right. But they don't--or are unable to--understand that even though he's only 21 he's no longer in college. The

NFL doesn't give a fuck how old or how popular you are. Play great and you're gold. Play like shit and you'll hear it from the stands.

Terry Bradshaw won 4 Super Bowls and was booed off the field in one of his last appearances in Pittsburgh.

JM is single-handedly making his professional life a lot tougher than it needs to be. And it didn't have to be this way.

It's time to grow up and act like a man. I know you're 21. Just a kid. And I don't give a fuck. You signed the contract for 8 mil.

More money than I'll see in my lifetime. Win the Super Bowl and you can blow Justin Beiber on TV and I won't care. Until then,

you're just an immature kid acting like a douche.

  • Is it true that JM was in Hollywood to audition for a Dirty Dozen remake?

If he wins on the field, you will all love him regardless.

Hey, something we agree on! If he wins, we'll love him.

As for the other part, well, is this now your ringtone, alarm clock and doorbell?

No one is jealous of him.

They are just concerned because he's slated to be our future QB. They see the off the field stuff as a red flag. You do not. Yes, everyone is happy if he wins. We're not there yet, so just relax until training camp and quit banging on people.

I'm going to be out of town for a couple days, so just let me know now if I need to suspend you again.

Otherwise, carry on ...football related if possible.

Haha! ^That shit is funny though. The Haters just got more ammo to hate with, it's good fun though and at least it's something to talk about as the DawgDays of Summer grind through their steamy gears.

Soon enough, the leaves will prepare themselves to blanket the earth and the Browns will rise... not as in years before, but this time as the 16th year incarnation, eyes afire and fangs exposed, ready to sever the brainstems of the AFCN... the resurgence has begun, embrace it and brace yourselves for the rise of The Cleveland Browns.

*Warning* It will be SUDDEN and VIOLENT! *Warning*

With all due respect. As one of the other posters put quite eloquently- Manziel is giving the hatas all the ammo they need to shoot him squarely in his (apparently) arrogant ass. You can flip off the world- however, experience has taught me it's rather unwise to give the guys who sign your paychecks the finger. Hmmmm... ya think Nike just might tell him to tone it down too, for hanging out with a toxic Hollywood Bad Boy?

FWIW, I f**king hate Collin Cowherd- and even he's turned into the tone it down club. Damn- I have no problems hanging with Mayweather- but Tiny Canadian Pussy Douche? (I see Zombo's auto correct has been put into action for he-who-must-not-be-named, LOL!!!) Give me a fucking break. after all the shit he's pulled Justin is damn lucky he hired the best lawyer he could find- and probably a soft judge- or else he's on a fast track Lindsey Lohan departure into oblivion.

I said it before PG- JF's actions have given himself no margin for error. Succeed- you're a hero. Bust- he may as well dig himself a hole and live with the armadillos in West Texas.

Here's a sampling of the NATIONAL commentary about JF's latest Hollywood escapade. about 80% negative. (sampling from the MSNBC article. )

"If the Browns didn’t know this was going to happen then they are bigger idiots than people already think they are."

"This explains why the Browns are trying to work out an extension with Hoyer."

"All this partying and boozing around. To me, it looks like football is the last thing on his mind. If nothing else, it’s a very bad image when you’re fighting to win the QB job. To me, it reeks of entitlement. The Browns would be crazy to give him the starting job at this point. Sit him on the bench for a season and then we’ll see if he goes out partying with the Tiny Canadian Pussy Douche."

"It is now official. The Browns have replaced the Jets as the NFL Circus franchise. Sorry Rex, this kid patented stupid, and he’s going to hold the title for the two years he’s in the league before he flames out. Again, that scouting report about his lack of work ethic and focus seems amazingly prescient."

As Z said when we closed the other thread- at this point. we're not going to change anyone's opinions about Manziel- pro or con. But the Party Hearty guys have to realize they're currently losing in the court of public opinion- by a large margin.

    This is what i dread.

We're trying to not only rebuild a football team but a brand. This kid will do MORE HARM and HOLD us back in re-branding this franchise. More and more folks in Cleveland is starting to understand that. Only the few JFF fanboy don't see it.

    You will never get it.

It's NOT ABOUT winning and losing. It's about a NEW DIRECTION...a NEW HOPE...

He can be the starting QB and win 10 games next season but he is ONE DRUNK NIGHT away from destroying himself and this franchise. And don't give me the crap that he won't. It's already a FACT, the dude has alcohol issues and uses alcohol to address his inner demons.

This dude has the potential to set us back YEARSSSSSSSSSS....

  • And he has the potential to set the Browns forward lightyears too. So he is someones worst nightmare. Let's hope this quote is on the money in the NFL

Kirby Smart (Bama's D coordinator): "Oh god, Johnny Manziel. I mean nightmare for us. He is the perfect storm for us because he is athletic, he can move around in the pocket but yet he can still make the throws. You know, the first year he ran all over us and we said okay we are going to rush five, do the Michael Vick theory, fill up the pass rush lanes, come after him and then he made every throw. He had a huge receiver out there that gave us problems matchup wise. So for us, that was a nightmare. Next guy would probably be Cam Newton. Where he was a different kind of talent, it is hard to stop but it is different then Johnny. Johnny gives nightmares, Cam is just so big."

  • Yes Bama D again.

    What about LSU?

They shut him down twice. What went wrong there?

  • Bama's D would rank 32nd in the NFL, and by a lot.

  • The dude played with 3 top 10 NFL picks on the offensive side of the ball over the past 2 seasons:

    WR - Mike Evans - 7th Overall

    T - Luke Joeckel - 2nd Overall

    T - Jake Mathews - 6th Overall

And if the draft is today, Cedric Ogbueh (Tackle) would also be a TOP 10 pick. I'm surprise he was even touched all season with arguably the highest ranked offensive line EVER in the HISTORY of College football.

That luxury will not be there with the Cleveland Browns. He'll need to know the god damn playbook in this league. You JFF fanboys can take that 'improvised' skill set of his and shuffle it up your asses.

    1. yes it is, winners can do what they want. I'd rather have a winning QB that is hated than a lovable loser.

    2. I'll send a priest over to your congregation to exercise Johnny of his demons right way. Once again, you're judging others.

You also just old us to "shove it up our asses", you sound like a great Christian Role model.

I am a Johnny Fanboy and proud to be. I love Manziel and the fact he's the face of the franchise.

No, actually sitting here in my Manziel jersey, glad I could make a financial contribution to him and The Browns. He's the #1 selling jersey and good for him. Anything to put money in his pocket, I'll gladly help. We need to invest in him.

I've already registered for training camp to go watch him QB our team to success and get reps under his belt.

I'm beyond excited for the 2014 football season, the season of the Rookie, the season of Manziel.

I think his connection with Cameron and Hawkins is going to be key for his success as our long term starter for a very very very long time.

  • Love all of the JF threads turning into crap by page 4. The dude is immature for sure and parties like a rock star. As stated before, if this does not affect his job and he preforms at a high level, then great. As of right now, the media is making the biggest deal out of it. Ever since they could not come into the OTA's, they have made sure Johnny has been posted all over. He will get it, I just hope he knows that all of the Defenses we face this year are going to want to beat the hell out of him.

  • This.

His life to live and no one else's.

    Training Camp will be awesome.
