  • My prediction is all or nothing. They are either going to follow the letter of the law and pull him out for a full year, or they are going to say something was messed up and give him nothing. I heard that the guy Goodell selected to be present for the hearing doesn't buy into second hand smoke, so I figure it is going to be a full year ban.

  • the difference with private companies and the NFL is that the NFL has a player's union who voted on all these rules, so when it comes back to bite them in the ass.............

    i didn't hear anything about a delay with gordon's precedings so i don't know why if the judgement is handed down to day why the ruling won't be released. why would they wait 2 days?

  • Presumably the ban takes effect immediately, if it's a one year thing, so he wouldn't be allowed to practise, so the team would be told immediately?

    So the hearing is today and Roger is not even going to attend? I thought he sat in on the big cases. Had he wanted to attend, then the hearing could have been held in Canton. Has the emperor washed his hands?

  • Just some Joe that may know somebody that has something to do with the proceedings would be my best guess.

    Don't know that I'd put much stock in it since the last I saw the appeal was still going on . . .

    Never can tell though where something will come from.
