Pettine: Two quarterback system is "on the table"
-
Harbaugh...bank it...bet on it...a prediction a year out.
You do realize that it wasn't Harbaugh that was wanting to come here right? It was the 49'ers exploring the possibility of trading us a their coach for our draft. That would have been an infinite win for the 49'ers because they could replace Harbaugh with another coach of equal or greater value within minutes of trading him. Harbaugh does not want to leave the San Francisco 49'ers with their shiny new stadium and come to Cleveland. What on earth are you basing this prediction on? Dude has one of the best jobs in the NFL. A gazelle of a qb, perennial top 5 defense. There is not a single player on the Browns team that is better than his counterpart on the 49'ers...save perhaps for Joe Thomas. He's not coming unless the 49'ers deal him....a situation in which we would have to give them multiple high value picks which ain't happenin.

Ill take that action.....like it or not, Pettine is here for a while...
JH's ego is way too big to quickly admit he missed again....so I give Pettine 2-3 years to show his stuff.....Hopefully, by then, it wont even be a consideration......

Barring injury there will be no 2 qb system. Hoyer is a lot better QB than most people think, and soon we will all find out. The key to the Browns success, as with any other struggling team is "WEED"ing out all the team "distractions" as the latest culprit put it. Last time I looked I couldn't find a statute for a Class A Distraction.

Pettine will be here for awhile I believe.

I am against any special "packages" and what not. Make a decision and stick to it until its obvious that its time for a change. Don't keep dipping your toes in the water.
Everything would be in better shape right now if #6 was announced as the starter at the beginning of camp, with no competition. If Manziel then blew the doors off of camp then internally you could consider it competition. Now that #6 is named the starter, drop all talks of Manziel playing until you're ready to start him.
The decisions that have been ultimately made, feel correct, however how things have transpired feels botched.Pettine? Maybe, but I still smell Shanahan...
Old Herm "You-play-to-win-the-game" Edwards actually got one right... as close as I can remember he said, "Worry about establishing one Quarterback before you consider a rotation."

I was actually moved to give you a "point"... enjoy...
how much?
I thought you only bet "how many"?

Has anyone given much thought to what this 2 QB system is actually going to look like?
Like will Hoyer and Manziel be on the field at the same time? Who doesn't wanna see that double lateral flea flicker for a home run ball?
I don't see the Browns going all Wild cat with Manziel. To me the Wild cat is "I'm gonna run it, but l just might throw it." And l would think with Manziel they'd do the opposite of that.

Pettine................ let's follow him into the Latrine........................
I called for the firing of Romeo after the first preseason game. Pettine NEEDS TO GO.
This guy is a dullard. WHy not just get rid of everyone who isn't an offensive lineman? Seriously, that would make Browns fans happy, and we could laugh our asses off at what shit athletes these blubber asses are.

They should have several Johnny Scramble packages to get that playmaker on the field for a few snaps a game.

I think pettine is a goner, one and done unless he magically gets it by week 8 and starts turning things around..
Thusfar my early impression of coach pettine is far worse than RAC, Mangini or Shurmur and that is a mouthful..
The QB derby has to be viewed as a boneheaded decision by most fans regardless of if you are a manzielot or a hoyer homo, by not making an ironclad decision to go with one guy and stick to it rather it be his dynamic but raw rookie or brian hoyer, Pettine has created a mess for himself and everyone else..
If the trajectory of this coach does not change only a fool would want this guy for a coach for more than a year..

Two quarterback package 3 quarterback package no quarterback package who gives a shit? Do any of you people actually take a single word of what any coach tells you in preseason seriously?
Or the non stop speculation of the 24 7 sports news cycle either for that matter?

They dont have time to get the first team ready let alone adding johnny packages...
After the stoolers lay hoyer out for the year compliments of mitchell schwartz we will get to watch an unprepared johnny rook run for his life and trying to avoid the same fate....
-
JFF will start after the bi-week. He will light it up. We will go 12-4. Pettine will be named coach of the year. JFF rookie of the year.

Am l the only one who chuckles when l read "Johnny packages?"

I think its ridiculous to fire a coach after one season.
Agree... crawl before you walk... walk before you run...
Pettine's plan is clear... run the ball, play tough D and play a QB that will manage the game.
JFF will start after the bi-week.
Gets to start after going "bi" for one week? Does that include pitching and catching?
