He isn't an overachiever.

I know he is a good player to be had at #5, but can he spell his name?

Just read that Brown recently weighed in at 255 lbs.

Either the 225 was a typo, or he ate at Carl's Jr. for dinner. Ba dum ching.

255 makes way more sense.

I guess we will know his height and weight real soon when he goes to the combine.

If Curry is gone, who prefers the pick be Maualuga ? (assuming a trade down and both were still available...)

Mike Mayock's taken Brown out of his top 5 OLB rankings:

1. Aaron Curry, Wake Forest
2. Brian Orakpo, Texas

3. Brian Cushing, Southern California

4. *Aaron Maybin, Penn State

5. Larry English, Northern Illinois

Don't know why. It's bizarre that he wouldn't have someone widely considered to be a top 15 pick ranked in the top 5 at his position.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

I've got this gut feeling Brian Orakpo is going to be a beast in a 4-3 as a DE.

I think he's not going to be able to make the transition to OLB in a 3-4.

As far as Brown goes, NO MORE TWEENERS IN THE FIST ROUND!!!!!!!!!

They require development time and usually don't start to shine until 3-4 seasons in and you need help NOW with your first rounder.

shawne merriman and demarcus ware, much? both of them were beasts off the bat and have continued to be so since. it's more so that a few guys transition well and most others don't.

besides, most pass rushers don't pan out. that's why they're such a rare and valuable commodity.

OconRecon

Perhaps he's one of those London Fletcher types who can just play.

I think the little guys (ala DQ and London) are able to overcome their lack of size by being adept at cleaning up the mess, as it were. An edge rusher like Brown, if he were that little, would get manhandled.
