Age difference between BH and Dalton is likely enough to keep his demands out of Dalton-land...

Then again... he is a low mileage model...

All depends on how the rest of the year plays out Tour. Will Hoyer take a hometown discount? Not worried which agent he has- Brian will have the final say.

Absolutely... the further we go, the higher the price and likely the smaller the discount.

Ultimately any CLE "discount" may stem from the ability (or willingness) of the Hoyer "camp" to separate the JM, media-hype BS from the starter assurances of his HC.

  • now farmer is playing chicken. carson palmer just signed a 3 year deal last week, so i don't get the wait until the end of the year bullshit. i mean do you want the guy to succeed or fail so you can see manziel?

i would sign him today and trade manziel tomorrow.

  • man this thread sucks. stupid troll bs.

yeah like you would know who is a troll around here with your 13 posts.

jump on your bike your mom needs another pint.

  • It stands to reason Hoyer's play has put a bit of a wrench in the works. Not only has he played pretty well, but he straight up shimmied in some of the bigger games.

I'm guessing the shot callers and Johnny didn't see that coming. What to do?

He keeps it up, how in the hell could they let him go? Shit, if he does the unthinkable, they'll give him the keys to the city. Seriously, l bet there's a big ceremony with a big ass key involved.

  • Stockton? Have you posted since the CIN game?

Of course... that very nite. He had to be sure we understood how all this winning is blinding us.

Bengals made the same mistake all of you are begging the Browns to make, they took a guy with average talent and made him their Franchise

Just snapped to a key issue... StockBoy thinks Dalton is an "average talent".

And Palmer blows his knee out.....youch!

Hope they didn't give him too much guaranteed $.....or trade the back up......😉

yeah i saw that. talk about timing. at least their backup looks capable of playing at this level.

  • Just the break Seattle needed to get the division back.

Palmer is pretty old and this is his second knee job. Could be curtains for him. And the Cards.

$20 mil is a nice severance package though.

Well, MHL is the Champagne of Beers... so.......

  • Even though we had wait 5 hours longer, I prefer this new, Cliff's Notes version of the S.O.S.

Yeah- was at the game and we saw the bad Brian. Bunch of terrible throws. I also saw a bunch of really good throws. Inconsistency will be his downfall. His pre snap reads are as good as anyone's in the league. OK, he's never going to be great- got it. Our run defense also went in the toilet again with Taylor out. If you didn't notice, Mallet wasn't touched once the entire game. Um, make that once, when he had to cover a shotgun snap that went ten feet over his head.

  • I'm new here, but I think at some point you have to find out what you have in Manziel. That said, now is NOT that time. The Browns are in the playoff hunt, you DO NOT mess with that. Hoyer has to be the guy now, for many reasons, but mainly because the team is winning and could make the playoffs.

If you took Hoyer out, even at the end of yesterday's game, it sends a message to the team that you're not good enough with your best qb (at this time). That's a horrible message to send to a team that's gonna be fighting the next 6 games to get to the playoffs.

Maybe Manziel is the beast I think he will be, and nobody thinks more highly of him than me, but now is not the time.

  • Brian Hoyers last 5 games

Completions Percentage of 51.7% (Worst in NFL in that span)

    Touchdowns: 4

    Interceptions: 4

    QB Rating: 74.5

I could not agree more. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious about what Manziel has to offer, but telling a 6-4 team that they're packing it in for the season would be criminal.

the people who are at practice every day still believe hoyer presents the best chance to win, it's as simple as that (unless you're one of those Ricky Bobby people who feel if you don't win the Super Bowl you might as well be 0-16).
