You know fellas. we could banter back and forth all day long about this draft pick and that one. We don't have the luxury of sitting down and talking to prospective players and finding out what makes them tick. Some guys may be HOF'rs in one system but not another for a thousand different reasons. Believe me these scouts do more than clock 40 times and evaluate strength and agility. Most good scouts are just as interested in what's between a kids ears. I think we should trust the scouts to do their jobs , after all they're the ones with the most information.

If anything, the success of the UDFA and late round picks means one thing - the best players will play. This creates an air of healthy competition that draft picks and potential free agents will gravitate to.

Watching this Raiders game.
Kahlil Mack is a fucking savage, we could of really used him this year.
woulda coulda shoulda. i swear you must watch every rookie and just be pissed that we didn't choose them. (also don't let me find those posts where you called pettine and crew a bunch of pussy faggots).
too bad there's not a time machine huh? you could travel to the future and see who turns out to be great and who are the flops and then just jump back on draft day and pick gems.
out of every good pick there are prob 4 not so good picks and like ibleedbrown said to judge any of these guys in the first year is just dumb. sure some rookies look like monster picks when they are surrounded by schlubs. who woulda thought carr would be playing better than bortles or bridgewater?
the guy playing lights out tonite happens to be a 17 year vet named woodson.

I hear you, but they must have been confident in the Dansby pickup. We should definitely look at drafting another solid LB next April.

Not only that, but it sets a standard for every player passed up in future drafts that Cleveland is a place they will get a fair shake. Those guys are like free agents, they get to pick their team.

Yea, like, instead of Spergon Wynn, we coulda taken the guy that went a few picks after him at #199.

I'll feel a whole lot better once we trade that backup QB for a 2nd rounder
Would we get a 2nd rounder for Hoyer?

You're nuttier than a shit house rat if you think they are trading Manziel away for a 2nd rounder when they spent a 1st and 3rd on him.

Seriously

Besides....Im happy with the whole year. Had a winning draft. Had good FA pick ups. Scored big with UDFA's. Scored a good coaching staff and FO.
So, Im not gonna cry about the few things that weren't perfect(or are still unknown). Overall score B+
Hell, last year everyone was screaming about the QB's and how bad they sucked.
This year they are all screaming about which QB to play, because both show so much promise.
The screaming may never stop, but I like it better this way....... B+ again

i went into the year proclaiming 8-8 would be a major improvement. hell i'm thinking the browns have shown that with their record now of course w/o the other two wins as of yet. i don't think anyone projecting their success could have seen the injury issue being as bad as it is now. i do think that farmer and pettine know what they're doing and if any changes are to be made i'll accept that. i just don't want to think other brown's fans will wish for a loss here and there so they can insert our #2 QB just for the sake of doing so.
the last third of the season IMO, will help the FO define the needs for this team going forward in selecting players in FA and the draft next year. but as mudfly just proclaimed: kudos to all so far and let's not give up just yet. there's plenty of football to be played. hopefully these players will step up knowing that their fan base is behind them 100%.
GO BROWNS!!
