Former players - especially ones that performed well over years and years and were on championship teams? How about former Brown's LT Dick Shafrath?

  • The HOF is such a joke. I will say all of these guys will get in lol

No, some of these guys have been waiting for 30 years, like Jim Hart and Mick Tinglehoff...and are still not in.

He could be in. He actually had a more productive career than running mate Gene Hickerson who was put in.

Yes, you have to understand with the way football is played these days with pinball offenses the more recent players seem to score better on these sorts of things. Plus, having a long career is helpful.

If this is a list you created and you don't have Roethlisberger on it but you can't be helped.

Edit: and you included rivers? Lol

If he is on the list, then I inadvertently overlooked him. It was not my intent. I will go back and check. Thanks for bringing it up.

OK, I have checked.....and BR is not on the list....yet.

Remember, I am using the PFR "Career Average" stat for this list. It is supposed to record a player's total productivity....and supposedly it can compare players at all positions from QBs to nose tackles.

The list I gave of the Top 50 went from Peyton Manning with a 172 score to Gannon and Jim Hart with scores of 99.

Ben Roethlisberger to date has a 94 score so he is not yet in the Top 50 all time players not in the HOF. (I am not sure that any of this year's stats are computed in these scores, probably not, so those may be added at the end of the season)

But yes, Rivers is in there with a score of 107.....and I am not the one who included him, PFR was. ( The score is a very complex mathematical algorithm.....I don't understand how it works....you are free to figure it out).
