I'm kind of mad so to hell with it, here we go with another Watkins rant...
-
Gordon will look a lot better with JF. I really think he doesn't like hoyer, or at least doesn't think he is a good enough qb. His play lacks because of this.
-
Yea we could have used one of the rookie WRs but I wouldn't have taken Watkins.
Last years WR class was pretty much shooting fish in a barrel.
-
We needed to get that fucker, or Evans or Benjamin or fuck me running see if Webster mother fucking Slaughter wants to play again. Why am I sour? Fucking watched Josh Gordon loaf around the field all day. He just goes out, runs his route than looks back at the QB...if the QB isn't looking at him, meh i'll just powerwalk the rest of my route. Than when the QB does look at him he's not where he was expected to be in Hoyers mental count. Not making excuses for Hoyer today I'll get to that fucker later in another post, but I seen enough now of Gordon to see how many intangibles this guy doesn't and seemingly doesn't want to do. He just doesn't want to do it. Period. Watching these other rookies, like Watkins.....fuck, just fuck!@!!. Those kids are burning on every play, they don't give no plays away off the line. Gordon is still doing the same shit that Dustin Fox called him out for last year watching the all-22. NOthings changed. Todays game there were enough angles on the replay that clearly showed what Dustin saw on the all-22 from last mother fucking year.
This Gordon kid will make spectacular fucking plays when he gets the ball, but it's like he has to have an oral contract before the play that the ball "will" go his way. Otherwise it's "meh". C'mon now we fucked up by not taking a #1 WR. We did. End of discussion. Johnny's gonna figure out Gordons proclivity for loafing too and it's gonna piss him off. He might be the kind of guy that gets in Gordons face, who knows....Hoyer isn't that guy.

Gonna pass on the bulk of your therapeutic venting, but about the quoted bit, you may well be right.

Receiver would have been nice, but I'll take our extra first rounder and hope gilbert turns out good over Watkins. Receiver is not the problem with our team, and hasn't lost us any games this year. This team has much more pressing needs than WR. Enough with the "we should have done this" draft talk, and enough with the Watkins talk. We would be 7-6 with Watkins, just as we are without him.

I disagree...I think with one of those first round studs on the team, seeing what they're doing for other teams...we'd have won a couple more of those early season close games. Everyone was saying just a few weeks ago how much diff the season would have been had we had Gordon from the start. So what's the difference? I would argue that some of these other guys are doing more of the intangibles with roughly the same pure field freak that Gordon is. He doesn't block, he doesn't sell his routes....all these things are being done by those rookies and then some.
-
Gilbert earned his pay today. Gordon did not. But Gordon has the talent. Hoyer doesn't. No doubt Josh needs to get his shit together in a hurry. I do fear he doesn't want to be a brown but what he doesn't realize is teams won't take much of a chance on a talented fuck-up especially if he's lazy and unmotivated. Give me a team full of Hawkins if that's the effort you're going to give.

If Hoyer overthrew him....you think JF is gonna take anything off the "preplanned" throw to accommodate Gordons loaf? Not a chance.

Holy fucking dog balls you will go back and read every fucking word and then write it all down so you pick right up with it tom morning first thing. In the shower if necessary it's that important.
-
Some team will obviously take him but won't give him any kid of decent scratch. He'll play real hard for one year to earn a contract and then I predict he goes back to this. Throw in another strike or two as well. No team is coming out of their pockets for him.

Well, we won what 4 games with him leading the league in receiving last year, and so far we are win less with him this year........ good stuff huh?

Sorry to say there's a chance there may be truth to this... which would be a sad commentary on Gordon.

LOL... read it... just going to pass on commenting on it... as I already did so in "4life's Watkins' Vent V1.0".

Oh so this was my Watkins vent 2.0? lols...that's a good job out of you actually. But it isn't a Watkins rant really...it's a we needed to procure a #1 rant because this Gordon shit is back that seemingly no one wanted to really talk about last year.
Let's all be pretty clear on at least one play....the heave by Hoyer at the end of the game with 35 seconds left...did you all see the mother fucker pacing himself off the line? Had he strode off the line like the racehorse he is he easily runs under that ball and probably gains at least another 5-10 yards if not actually going to the house. We would have been almost immediately in Cunt's theoretical range of statistical probability. (field goal range)
-
Dunno if he is actually trying to make hoyer look bad. I do think that his effort does lack because he just doesn't believe in hoyer. Almost like "well this guy can't get me the ball, so why give full effort".Bingo! If Gordon is screwing the pooch just to make Hoyer look bad, I really wouldn't want him on my team.
If this is the case it doesn't look good on Gordon, but I'm guessing he has more faith in JF.
Next week I am betting a much better all around effort from Gordon. As long as pettine doesn't actually stick with hoyer.

Sorta... did not see Gordon off the line, but a high-angle replay showed him "jogging" for 10 yards or so around mid-field with a DB on his hip. I thought he tried to catch up to the ball once thrown, but could not.

Well yeah of course he tried to catch up to the ball when he realized it was coming his way. Had he been on his horse off the line that DB would not have been on his hip either. He got no separation before the ball was thrown so of course he had difficulty pulling the ball in. Fundamentals. Funda fucking mentals.

we trade manziel to the cowboys for a second rounder get moirtta and a wide receiver and another solid d pick
