  • โ€œHe wasnโ€™t a localโ€

That plus a family with money coming in (read jealousy) is as far as you need to read. Small Tx town set in it's ways and generally unaccepting of "outsiders". Same person's quote about if he'd been born there it might be different. Texas has a lot of towns like this so no surprises here.

  • Thank god somebody on the offense has some fire and passion.

  • Idk if I would describe it as trashing.

Anyway, johnny boy will have a chance to show out next week.

  • Wow, he really did say that! Hoyer doesn't look fired up he looks like the journeyman quarterback we all thought he was. You would think by now even the defense would be shouting Manziel. They could have beat Baltimore, Texas, Buffalo and the Colts the way the defense played.

Hoyer had to remind us at his press conference last week that he was the reason the Browns are 7-5. It's time to remind Hoyer that he is the reason we could be 10-3.

  • Yes,he would have fucking hit him!!! How hard must It have been to watch this offensive debacle the last few weeks? O nce we get a qb in there , and see what we could have been,we are all going to be sick! The defense is balling, with offense,we could be a force!

Agree... but it sure as hell ain't fiery or passionate...

  • Brash confidence. Like Clark Gable, I think.

Those misses were brutal. If I was Johnny, Id say the same thing. Hell, Im an old man and I woulda hit em....they were wide open for christs sake....

Too bad we dont have a receiver named Broad Sideof Barn

  • Damn. Walter must have cams set up on every corner for murders, rapes, race riots and qb controversies.

  • We all know he should, but I have this bad feeling he will give Hoyer the nod on Wednesday lol...

  • I don't think we need another thread, but yes I think johnny will start, no way the staff doesn't wanna see him.

  • As I have said most of the year, I have full faith in pettine. He will start JF, book it. Live and learn, he had to see what he had in hoyer, for sure. Now we know what we have, for sure. He WILL start JF.

If he doesn't, I may join the WalterWhite train....and if I did that I would have to kill myself. So let's hope he starts johnny.

  • PLEASE Let it be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

There is NO ONE on this forum that can still back Hoyer

  • I think Hoyer has the goods on Pettine and Shanahan.

  • I won't be surprised if he does. But the writings on the wall. 2015 - manziel

  • I like Pet, but if he doesn't make the change, he will lose me.

  • I hope not.

Hoyer has gotten WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY...............WORSE

  • PLEASE Let it be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

As much as I love a challenge...

    I can't see Hoyer starting.

The only mitigating factor I can possibly imagine is that Hoyer started our last two wins over Cinci. However, as much as Pettine bemoaned wasting last week's Defensive effort against the Bills, I cannot imagine today's much more egregious waste, can be overlooked.

  • I think a lot of people are blaming Hoyer for issues that aren't his fault

I think it must suck for Hoyer having fans call for the unproven rookie as soon as he throws an interception

I think NFL defenses will figure out Johnny after a game or two of film on him

That being said, I say we start Johnny. We're out of the playoffs and we might as well see what he can do.

  • That stadium will be a ghost town if Hoyer is named the starter...

Yea throwing interceptions when you have plenty of time and overthrowing receivers is NEVER Brian's fault.

It's the wind and wrong route running. It was all not having Gordon and Cameron. It was the o-lines fault.

Hoyer is a great QB and I'm sure he'll get a large contract this offseason. I'm think 6 years 125 million to replace Manning in Denver.
