Well, that's pure bullshit. You guys fucked up hard on that one....

Our QB was EJ Manual and Kyle fuckin Orton.

Stick that kid with a real QB who can actually throw a football, and I think your assessment changes.

The kid is a sick route runner, and has the strongest hands in the league.

BTW, there is no way NE gives up Garopollo. Manziel has absolutely no value at all, and Gordon might find another team who may deal with his shit for a month or two before cutting him.

Id take either Beckam or Evans any day over Watkins. I'd consider Kelvin Benjamin too. I guess I can concede he would be an upgrade over Benji or Gabriel 🙂
  • ok well as long as you're giving credit i'll take the hose off....all I wanted really. lol

ANd again it's not just Watkins it's some form of number one receiver we needed to acquire last season through draft or FA or scanning first energy for a tall black guy who looks like he can run real fast and having come out of the stands to Ric Flairs music. Just something.

  • To New England. Throw in Manziel's ass to sweeten the deal.

    Would you make that trade?

Gee Walter yet another flip-flop. You were all over Manziel's schlong, and now you want to toss him in a trade deal?

You guys have bigger problems than evaluating Watkins, QBs or any other wide receivers. Shit, that's the least of your problems.

You have to overcome an idiot thief owner, and he has taken a jackhammer to the foundation again.

WTF has Cleveland done to keep attracting these goofball millionaires to buy the Browns?

IMO, Johnny Jamboogie wasn't Farmers or Pettine's call. And your owner was stupid enough to say it was some homeless bums call.

George, if Haslam boogered up one pick- that's the least of our problems. He's sticking with Pettine for at least one more year- as he should. It could be Manziel is rat poison to the team- if he is, he'll be gone as fast as Haslam canned Chud. Haslam is still a relative noob in the NFL owner circle- and is learning the hard way - leave player evaluation to your front office. I suspect there's going to be some bad attitude dead wood cut real soon- and you can have your dream wr tandem with Gordon playing next to Watkins. 🙂 Interested?

Other than the first round- Farmer's picks were excellent- a lot of guys thought Bitonio played at a pro bowl level. We did well in the FA market too- landed a bunch of solid starter and role palyers.

  • I like Bradford. I believe on a decent team he can be a stud.

Well I think we're a decent team when everyone's healthy. But if we can't protect Bradford than he's just gonna come here to die.

  • Not,to mention watching Odell Beckham these last few weeks. Wow is this gut replacing Cruz or what? I'm jealous.

  • I will ask again; do you guys do a mock draft on this board? Does Zombo? He seems so knowledgable I was just, wondering from a Cleveland perspective instead of the national mock drafts that, bombard us every year.

  • Kevin hogan? Is that a joke? He's terrible....he was the weak link on Stanford for like 3 years. Did he even bother to enter the draft? Never once has anyone imagined Kevin hogan as an nfl qb. He's big, but that's it. He can't throw.

I'm grasping at the midnight straws. But would a guy like Bradford stay healthy? Jake Locker is always hurt, Ryan Mallet hasn't impressed, Jimmy Klausen isn't proven, Sanchez throws interception, Gino Smith hasn't developed on a consistent basis, Shaub is out of the question, how about keeping Hoyer, Shaw and getting AJ McCarron or Matt Barkley. They could have a true competition without the entitlement factor. And include Bradford too if he's released which is likely. He can't make it through the pre-season though with that glass knee.

    Redundant

  • hindsight is a great thing...

  • Speaking of hindsight it doesn't look like Bill Belichick is in the business of letting bonafide starting quarterbacks slip by him.

  • Seriously? A first rounder *and* a pro-bowl talent/locker room cancer for a previously second round guy with less than 30 passes? So many reasons this is stupid.

watkins had 50 something yards today and buffalo didn't make the playoffs.

yeah he did what a lot of people thought he would do. nothing.

and yet he has more than 100 yds more than our leading receiver who's in his 4th year and was catching balls from a hot Hoyer early in the season. It's not a stretch to say two things 1) Watkins would be well over 1000 yds receiving if he was a Brown and 2) he would have made Hawkins and Austin even better.

And not just Watkins, but any of the stud #1's would have made this a vastly better offense. Hawkins and Austin are awesome route runners and short catch guys. They are not Gordon type receivers whom defense's have to give some buffer to or they wheel it downfield for 6. C'mom Mik this is simple football mechanics. Saying a rookie with just under 1000 yds did "nothing" though? C'mon dude. Give the kid some credit.

Not sure how you can make this assumption. Our offense has been horrendous since the early season bye week, adding a better receiver wouldn't have fixed it.

But to Walter's trade idea. It's nothing but risk, first round pick and a first round talent for an unproven 2nd RD QB.

  • Isn't Gordon a restricted FA. The only way you get anything for him would be if Al Davis would come back to life. The Moron is quickly playing himself out of the NFL!

He is now, apparently, because this season he's only played 5 games - after the browns suspended him for the finale.

It doesn't? How many ex-Pat QBs are starting in the NFL?
