Pet's End of Season Presser: ~ 14:00 EDT, 12-29-14

The Browns Board
25 9 862
  • Must be still out in the woodshed with Pettine.

  • Interesting... nothing earthshattering, but interesting.

Definitely most hopeful for Gilbert and least for Gordon, but not writing off any that I heard.

    Gordon: "At crossroads this off-season."

Gilbert: "Technically suspended for game 16. Just too late to file suspension"

Manziel: "At point where his actions are far more important than his words."

  • Other bits...

Shaw "was peeing blood last night."

Have confidence in Shanny and his system? "Yes." --- rather emphatic.

  • hmmm....about what I expected, but a couple surprises.....my take

Hoyer.....sounds like he's gone, which is a bit surprising actually.

    Gordon...."as of right now, he's a Brown"....says it all....he's gone

Gilbert.....gonna stay with him. Said the players were hardest on him "because the vets see how great he can be"....which sounds good for Gilbert, but Im not hearing that same thing from them about JFF

Manziel....couldn't get a read on that, other than he said they will not start him just because he's a first. And that he has been a negative force for this team. Also said that the position is very unsettled and they'll have to get to work. Not a glowing assessment for JFF. I still think they'll investigate options and take anything nearing decent value(3rd or better)

He took some good hits in the kidney area no doubt.

Certainly the most glaring between the lines gap...

  • Like a soap opera. Johnny denying having a party. Says he wasn't with Gordon. Kick his butt back to Texas because his mental capacity is still in high school. Talk about disrespecting his teammates. They're never going to respect the 3

yep...his exact words on the QB situation were it's "muddy"(I like it 😉 ) and JFFs play was "not encouraging".....

So since we all hung him for it anyway no use cutting down the rope? Love that logic.

  • Maybe my fav quote was:

"I would rather be functional internally and appear dysfunctional externally."

So you assume he is telling the truth I suppose? I mean its not like everything that comes from his mouth is bullshit right?? DOH

Seriously what Manziel says doesnt fucking matter. He has been saying the right things since prior to the draft. Says it right, does it wrong, fucker admits he is a jackass, nuff said

semantics....really....whether JFF 'had a party" or was 'entertaining out of town guests" is a mute point...

Bottom line is that he stayed out past 3 getting drunk with his buddies and overslept and wasnt there for the pre game....and he missed his therapy too(same week, I think)....he's a douche...

  • So it begins.

I'm all Brownsed out for a while and will be back to the forum in a few days/weeks, and by the time I re-engage, I'm sure Johnny will have matured beyond belief, have a full understanding of the playbook and will be slinging it better than Aaron Rodgers.
