  • I am no Jonny fan and never have been.

  • OK boys, how about this quote from NFL.com

Does not drive the ball with velocity down the field and can be affected by cold and windy conditions (see Cincinnati).

Perfect for Cleveland eh. He plays inside in Minneapolis.

  • Who cares.. I don't want a sissy dressing QB on My team anyway..... go to hell Bitchwater!

The Vikings played outside last year. Not sure if they're new stadium is domed or not.

I do want cardale jones though

There is a good chance him and Joey Bosa go 1st or 2nd overall next year.

    Sign me up for either

What do you consider a "good chance"? ....

  • I was a Teddy fan last draft. Then everyone freaked out over a pro day...

  • I continue to laugh about what people are saying about this guy. That article says "sensational rookie season". In what way?!

He did ok and better than the other rookies but hardly sensational.

Take a look at the numbers.

    http://www.nfl.com/player/teddybridgewater/2543465/gamelogs

It's beyond sensational. After the bye in week 10, take a look at those numbers. His numbers were improving week after week. 4 straight 70% completion rate. 2 300+ yard passing with one of them against the number 1 defense (Detroit) at that time in Detroit.

Not even Andrew Luck have 4 straight games of 70% completion YET in his career. As great as Andrew Luck was in his rookie year, he struggled with accuracy in his final 8 games of his rookie season.

He's going to be really good….

  • I mean he did good with really no receiving core and no AP and a shaky offensive line.

The fact of the matter is we could have drafted him, Carr, or Gorappollo and been in better shape than what we have now.

you had no problem with us drafting manziel last year. as a matter of fact you were one of his biggest cheerleaders...............until he took the field.

i love how now, after the season, you and clevefan4life and others break down OUR draft and do the woulda, shoulda, coulda when you all had different POVs before the draft.

fuck bridgewater. more fragile than RG3 and likes lipstick and dresses and wigs and..............

  • he played 13 games while manziel couldn't stay healthy for 2...

  • Eh I don't care about what we could have had but something that can't be understated is the Vikings threw a ton of "safe" passes to ease Teddy in. I don't think that's even a terrible strategy but I recall looking it up before and something like 70% of his attempts were less than 5 yards.

    7.3 yards per attempt.

That's better than Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Tom Brady, M. Stafford, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, C. Kaepernick, N. Foles, C. Newton.

Don't let your own bias fool you.

And the guy we picked has velocity? He was throwing ducks out there.

No, but it's better than half of the league. Drew Brees has a 7.5 yaards per attempt. The best starter (A. Rodgers) finished with 8.4.

Nothing like fishing for a worthless stat to prove a worthless point. Carry on.

  • To put it most simply, passing yards per attempt is the single most important indicator of success in all of football. The short version is this:

    * Teams that win the passing YPA battle almost always win the game.
    * Teams that lose the passing YPA battle almost always lose the game.
    * The winningest teams in history are typically the teams with the best passing YPA average.
    * The winningest quarterbacks in history are typically the quarterbacks with the best passing YPA average.

Yards per attempt is a worthless stat. It simply divides number of passes and the number of yards which creates a a huge, laughable flaw. I'll give the Vikings credit-they have good pass catchers who got yards after catch.

When you look at the REAL measure, the adjusted net yards per attempt, guess where old Teddy is? 27th, behind world beaters Jay Cutler and our Brian Hoyer.

But please, tell me again how I'm bias.

  • Cardale will win the QB battle at Ohio State and play like a champion next year. He's always had the talent, he was just an immature kid. This past season he became a father and matured his approach to learning his craft.

Of course, I won't expect you to admit you made a mistake when you're proven objectively wrong next season.

partial glass ceiling actually - and they play outside for another year. So teddy will don those cute gloves once again
