    i'll take that bet.

six pack says atlanta sucks again. ryan is good but no way shanahan makes that much of a difference. getting some defensive talent might though.

Shanahan will probably make the offense better. He did wonders with Hoyer.

No he didnt. He played around him. Until that was no longer possible. And it doesn't look like he did a great job with Johnny does it?

  • Ha!....I just read an article in Atlanta that went on and on about how Shanny made RGIII great, only to have him fail as soon as he left.....then it went on to say how Shanny made Hoyer great, after 6 years of riding the bench.....They are very excited that he will now turn Ryan into Brady

I've no doubt that a fire burns inside Mangini, but it is hard to see...

Nobody showed the passion like Romeo Crennel.

    lmao... thanks, I needed that.

  • We should have made Shanny buy his way out of his contract. If not that, knowing he had something lined up we should have traded his ass. If neither of those worked then sit him under contract on the couch and hire an assistant OC to really do the job (lol ala the Cowboys). He is a quitter asshole and I wish him nothing but the worst. I would pay quite a bit of money to watch him and Josh Gordon in a cage match right now.

  • I dont think he had anything lined up and...honestly.... think the Browns were contemplating firing Shanny and he sensed it....

Then, suddenly, a leak about the texts and such(and you KNOW where that came from)....then "regrets" about how it got presented to the public...oops....

Then a quiet agreement for him to leave......

So, I think the Browns saw his little "text gate" as a simple opportunity to basically get rid of him....and his contract....

    And it worked.....

Of course, well never know....but it seems and feels very plausible....

  • Plausible is the word...

But a "lined up" element does also seem plausible in a very general sense. Ample reports that Shanny was treading water until Dan Quinn landed an HC job.

Kyle will definitely not have anyone texting him during games in Atlanta.

I'm going to start a pool on how long your trolling bitch ass will be around. Will it be over or under the longevity of Stockton ShittyShorts?

Looks like I was right again... Farmer texting.

When will people realize being right isn't trolling.

  • Well, he had "mobile" QBs with Wash. in RGIII......and he had Hoyer and JMZ here.

How about this question: Why was Shanahan not able to ever get Brian Hoyer out of his late season funk after Hoyer being so good to begin with?

Was it all Hoyer.....or all the loss of Kevin Mack.....and why could not the coach adjust to the loss of Mack?

He will now have a pure pocket passer......can he adapt to that style?

    He means Ted Mack.

  • Although I believe Shannahan was a good OC I was glad to see him leave. The Browns will be better off without him. His complaining attitude will wreck a team. Actually I would list anyone who chronically knocks the team he works for as a person who needs to be eliminated. Even without calling a single play I am happier with DeFiippo as He has worked with Pettine before and I believe he will work for the common good of the team and with Pettine. Nothing hurts a team as much as a person in an important position who are chronic fault finders. The worst thing we could have done would have been to hold him to his contract.

  • So in reference to the pinpoint and accurate sports reporting we are used to has anybody actually come up with this litany of complaints he gave the owner? Or are we just speculating as usual?

    WSS

  • I feel bad for Matt Ryan.. the Pistol offense requires a mobile QB... He'll be injured by week 4.

  • Atlanta is under investigation because they added croud noise through their pa system.

It's pretty disturbing to see how many Browns fans actually believe that anyone who doesn't think "the Browns are all that and a bag of nuts" is stupid. Here is something I learned in the military.

"If the whole world has to be wrong in order for you to be right, you may want to rethink your position"

That's what you learned in the military? You do mean the United States military correct?

I prefer a lesser known philosophy which states, if I recall correctly, "the rest of the world can go fuck themselves."

    WSS

  • Must have been some other military. We always learned "stand up for your country, stand up for your team,

defend your country and your team" in the U.S.A.F.

    ..... the French military maybe?

  • Steeler queer

I rest my case.....if you want to play in your own poop it's fine by me

Exactly. and since it grieves you so that most of us don't give a fuck about what you're saying even though you are only trying to help... I would suggest you abandon your Pittsburgh Steelers and start rooting for the Patriots. They are a much better team right? As a matter of fact there are plenty of much better teams for you to jump on the bandwagon. So why have you not done so? Just because you're a dickhead? It seems too easy to make that blanket statement with a fellow like you.

And as fucked up as it might be to play with one's own poop how much more fucked up is it for a complete stranger to stick his ugly nose into that poop on a daily basis uninvited? Just wondering... Back to the dickhead theory I assume.
