On-side kick flaw.
-
Say baseball had a rule where you threw at the hitter, hit him, and it bounced to the catcher. Now his team is up. On-side kick is stupid, get rid of it. Why punish the team that worked to build a lead.
-
They should get rid of the forward pass too

While we're at it, let's get rid of field goals. And time outs.
I'm awesome, and I fuck dolphins. Ghoolie 12/2/2012: I have absolutely no skills, training or pride -
What's with the sudden influx of garbage on this board?

Yup- make it like soccer- 90 minute running time half's- and no scoreboard showing how much time is left.

Just think on-side kicks suck. Not trying to change the whole fucking sport.

Yep, why bother adding any drama towards the end of a game? If you're down by 10, you're going to lose even if you do score because the opponent will get the ball back. Let's keep it dull.

My team won 'cuz the kicker made the ball bounce funny. So cool. How about kick the other team's ass without the artificial bullshit.

I think scoring back to back touchdowns in a matter of minutes has a little more to do with your team winning than an odd bouncing ball.
But that's just me.

By that logic you would also have to eliminate interceptions off of tipped balls then.

Play "make it take it". If you score you get the ball back. Why penalize the guys who are on a roll?
It punishes teams who put emphasis on O rather than D. In no sport (that I know of) do you get the ball back when you score, unless you count snooker, which is a twisted analogy at best.

Browns rule.

And what's with all these fucking lines and numbers painted on the field??? That's just distracting to those of us trying to enjoy the game.

Packer fans must have been thrilled getting fucked out of a Super Bowl chance on a bullshit on-side kick. Aaron Rodgers was banged up but he got his team in position to win. OP doesn't have 100,000 posts so his opinion is shit. Doesn't matter, his opinion is shit anyway.

I had a gut feeling this had something to do with the Packers play off game.

Every kickoff is a free kick. Whoever recovers the ball gets possession. The rule is it has to be kicked and travel a certain distance.
