I have decided to come out of retirement to be the first ever 68 y.o. QB to take the Browns to the Superbowl. However you must draft me a DL, an ILB, an OL and a really pretty nudist nurse to take care of my owies. Now that's my NFL football fantasy.

i could be the first 55 year old half-deaf, half-blind drunk QB to lead the browns and the franchise to their first cup..............of brandy that is.
ok, not the first cuz there was stabler and namath, so.....

That ^ actually wasn't supposed to happen.

there's no other name out there to mention so far. as a matter of fact, i'm not that great a fan of his. i think he's dumb as a rock and if not for the ability to play sports he'd prob be bagging groceries.
i don't know if cardale would be the answer. my major point right now as we speak is to get the DL shored up, add an ILB, go to the OL while also looking at the WR position. the browns are in a pretty good position once again this year to add another layer of starters on both sides of the ball via the draft instead of blowing their load on the likes of another QB prospect.

Possible location of JFFs rehab: the Interval Brotherhood Home. S. Main St. Akron (Portage Lakes area). I have been there a time or two to see clients. It is a sprawling camp like campus. Not luxurious by any means.

tell me about it. the 'art' i'm creating now is painting and flooring. a total renov of this godforsaken kitchen of ours.
repurposing an old stove though......painting it metallic blue and silver/chrome. hot rod.
going to cut custom decal calling it 'the flamer'.
HA!!

As long as I want. Most days I don't take it. Today...I made up for that.
You have an active imagination.

The only thing that makes sense is Foles to the Browns for a first round pick- I'd gladly toss in JFF to sweeten the deal.
Gordon right now has less trade value than a 7th round pick.
Eagles won't have enough ammunition to move up into the top 2.

I envy you mik.
When my father was based in NY as Mobil Oil's top international troubleshooter, his boss once told me that he was the only man in the world who could walk into a problematic refinery and get resolved in a week what no one had come close to fixing in months.
His second son (me) is probably the only man in the world who could walk into that same refinery and within a week find a way to inadvertently blow up the whole damn thing without even using C-4. .
I'm not saying I'm bad with tools, but I keep them to a minimum. My tool shed consists of a kitchen top drawer. And I open it only if my phone does not work to call someone to fix stuff.

Kind of doubt it. He is probably out of state in some luxurious spa like rehab center.

thanks man. i caught a great break with some help of an old family friend who set me up lovely with a high position creative gig at a madison avenue ad co. after moving to NY. great things happened and no so great things which led to an early retirement with full bennies and a substantial walk away check while my investments were still intact.
always been doing my own thing since the 80s but even that now (free graphic work for friends, low ball pricing on shit i shoulda never said yes to etc.) is still not enough to keep my mind still/calm. i have to have my hands into everything to keep my self occupied or i'd prob throw myself in front of a bus. so now that there are shows on tv about furniture design and refurbing everything i keep buying something every week to add to a collection of tools even my neighbor is jealous of (he's a mechanic and knocks on my door to borrow tools......asshole). got a compressor and brad/nail/staple gun and will be installing new hardwood in the kitchen next week. bought a commercial paint gun to paint large items and an airbrush to paint details. dremels, wood carving tools, router, chop saw, table saw...you name it, i prob have something that will get the job done.
anyhoo, after the kitchen is done i start working on an old 60s budweiser clock that i got from a bar that closed down last year because of the death of the owner. a 93 year old uki woman who survived a concentration camp during world war 2. i was a regular there for a couple of decades and always asked that if god forbid something happened to her i wanted the clock to restore (after years of smoke and neglect).
i'll post some pics when i'm done with it before/after. gotta stay busy or my mind will turn to moosh.

We just did the same thing, on an entire house we flipped. Put in a beautiful bathroom
in the basement, entire new kitchen, all redesigned, pulled up carpet and found beautiful
hardwood floors...
That's a ton of work. I really hope your walls are straighter than the house we just finished. The pics
are somewhere online......

My problem would be this: Why would we trade these guys at their all-time lowest value?
Gordon: Let him sit out for a year. That's a no-brainer. He'll be worth more next year when he can actually play for somebody and has made it through his suspension. No is trading anything for a guy that needs to serve out a suspension, and it does not cost us anything to keep him around.
Manziel: The kid is sitting in rehab. Totally unproven player with two horrible starts under his belt who is probably going to be battling as a recovering alcoholic/addict for the rest of his career. Nobody wants him now. You bring him back, you let him prove his sobriety, play some preseason, than maybe he is worth something.
You are trying to trade guys that are practically untradeable right now. They both need to come back and get on the football field again and show promise before we can use either as trade bait.

Eh crazy scenario aside I can provide an answer to this. A year is a long damn time for Gordon and I have literally 0% belief he won't mess up again before he can play. If he messes up again he's probably banned forever in football terms. Right now he at least has a little value. I'm firmly on the cut him bandwagon though
Same with Manziel. The browns FO may think he's worthless but someone may still see the potential (I'm not saying this is the case, but for argument let's say it is). Your options are to trade him while he still has this "potential" tag, or if he goes out and plays like he did no one will offer anything for him. It's risk/reward but it's pretty logical if you look at it that way.
