    yessir.

i'm just wondering now how this will affect the browns approach to the upcoming draft. do they make decisions based upon what they think manziel might and might not be able to do or just disregard him all together and go about it as though mccown will be the starter (as a lot of us have thought since the signing) and manziel won't be there?

do we even know what draft pick or picks we are going to lose because of the bonehead gm...

    so you don't like farmer.

    check.

  • Irrespective of the trimmings, the core question is valid.

While I doubt we lose any picks, were we to lose any then given the league's history of expediting decisions that effect us, I'd expect an official to tackle our runner taking that pick's name up front.

  • Let's "break out the booze"

  • Sweet.

  • I'll drink to that

  • Hoping for the Person. Anybody else feel a 4 game drug suspension coming up?? Text gate still waiting...

  • Kid is trying to straighten himself out and some make fun of him. I give him credit.

  • I don't get the making fun of a terrible addiction, and a person who realizes

they need help and goes for it, especially all in the public eye.

So many families have had their lives damaged by these addictions, and so many

kids grew up having to deal with it.

It's no joking matter. I'm hoping he gets his life back, and becomes all he can be, and

    has a great life.

  • Dammit, that was funny..... 😎

  • Any o' you homos touch me, and I'll kill you.

(Funny thing....my nieces husband is in the military....some special ops stuff, but his name is Francis. I always think of that scene when I see him. Oddly though, when I asked him about it....he had never seen the movie or even knew about that line.....which I find hard to believe, but to be sure, I wasn't about to mess with him over it. This is a guy that did a year guarding the terrorists at Gitmo)

  • These comments... Hahaha

Let's just swing by the last Gordon thread real quick...

Was Manziel suspended multiple times by the NFL?

    I must have missed that.

  • It was a joke. He's a public figure that put himself in the public eye as much as possible. No one forced him to publish every move he made on Twitter etc. He asked for it. Plain and simple. He created the image, not us.

  • The image ended up having a good bit to do with his additions/whatever.

But even JF deserves a second chance without ridicule. Just not a second and third and fourth,

    Gordon-style.. Just my dumb opinion...

I hope Johnny gets it together too,,,,,and takes the league by storm.....

But, I think we should all cool it on the "terrible addiction" thing, because as far as I know, no one has even said he's addicted to anything.....(except maybe attention & the spotlight)....

Rehab & therapy can mean or be many many things....but certainly DOESN'T mean he has a "terrible addiction".....

  • I don't think he's terribly addicted to anything but the limelight. I would prefer if he was addicted to football like Peyton Manning. Then I will back him 100%

    Very true. It's just a guess -

    Maybe it's something else.

DeFilippo wants Manziel to be obsessed with football. I think our new OC is exactly the coach for JM.

To put it plainly, DeFilippo expects quarterbacks under his tutelage to eat, drink, breathe and sleep quarterbacking. He spelled out what he intends to say at the first meeting with whichever quarterbacks are on the roster.

“It’s truly a lifestyle to be an NFL quarterback,” DeFilippo said Tuesday during an interview on WKNR-AM, via NFL.com. “It’s not just a job. It’s all-consuming. You need to sleep, eat, do everything fast and just think about football all the time. The great ones have an obsession with it. You watch the Peyton Manning’s … those guys are obsessed with football. And you talk about quarterback lifestyle, in our first meeting, that’s what we’re going to talk about with those guys.”
