Why the cop shot him. Why would you shoot some nutty 50 year old guy in the back and then be stupid enough to try to concoct a "he took my taser story"? I get it, he obviously didn't see the guy who was taping him the whole time...but in this day and age how would you, as a cop, not automatically think somebody in one of these windows has got his cell phone pointed at me right now. How is a cop still that awfully stupid after everything we've been through "just this fucking year"? FFS -
What's even more disturbing is how calm the cop was while he was shooting the guy in the back. Maybe Scott was running because he didn't want to be tasered. No matter what his reason he clearly wasn't a threat as he ran away from the officer. Why shoot an unarmed man? Fox News said he owed back child support. So whatever scared him into running we will never know. But watching the cop handcuff him while he lay there dying with four bullets in his back is repulsive.

ahhh ic now. It was the child support. Doesn't speak terribly well for the guy but I have yet to see anything that even remotely suggests the cop should have had lethal reaction on his mind. And yeah watching him put the taser next to the guy is just awe inspiring. That any cop would be so sure of himself in broad daylight in this day and age,...just wow.

I'm not defending him having been shot but there's a huge bunch of responsibility that comes down on him and him alone. Show me an incident where a cop shot a guy for complying.
