  • What's even more disturbing is how calm the cop was while he was shooting the guy in the back. Maybe Scott was running because he didn't want to be tasered. No matter what his reason he clearly wasn't a threat as he ran away from the officer. Why shoot an unarmed man? Fox News said he owed back child support. So whatever scared him into running we will never know. But watching the cop handcuff him while he lay there dying with four bullets in his back is repulsive.

ahhh ic now. It was the child support. Doesn't speak terribly well for the guy but I have yet to see anything that even remotely suggests the cop should have had lethal reaction on his mind. And yeah watching him put the taser next to the guy is just awe inspiring. That any cop would be so sure of himself in broad daylight in this day and age,...just wow.

Yeah 2 sides to every story...the guy ran, and the cop shot him in the back 8 times.

I don't see what this video proves.

The cop fired 8 shots it's unknown how many times be was hit
  • This story has one side. A guy ran from a cop and the asshole cop shot him in the back. Then tried to cover it up.

  • One better decision and this guy would still be alive. Don't run and don't fight. I seriously don't understand why these people believe they're above the law.

A low IQ coupled with a life of having zero consequences for his actions would be my guess. I am sure if you were to ask the guy after the fact if he would want to die over back child support he would opt to just go to jail for the child support.

you know there are cops who have had bad days and picked fights with people so they get that one little retaliatory gesture than the cop can open up with his baton or taser right? If some cops stopped you and your wife or g/f on the side of the road and one of em started finger banging her, or you for that matter some cops roll like that, and you made that one little "hey" retaliatory move and they seized on that to beat the fuck out of you....would you still have that don't run don't fight mentality? This was obviously an extreme example and not what happened in this case, but cops have been known to molest women they stop on the highways late at night. Maybe dudes too but those probably don't get reported.

If you were a woman and violently reacted to a cop sticking his fingers in your cunt, would that be like feeling you were "above the law"? This is why police have procedures and when they break them they should be severely punished. Look at the video they're showing this morning from San Bernardino where they tasered a guy lifeless "THEN" like 12 of em proceeded to stomp the guys head in. Like full soccer kicks. Maybe the guy really was a piece of shit but when you do that to him you potentially make him a millionaire piece of shit. Completely unforgiveable either way. Can't have cops thinking "THEY" are above the law. A cop thinking he's above the law if almost always vastly more dangerous and reckless than civilians. All these video's coming out prove it. In some of these video's they outright know they're being videotaped and they don't care, and that is really concerning.

That's not even close to the same type of incident. The dash cam clearly shows a routine traffic stop until the part where the guy gets out for no reason and starts running. I'm not defending him having been shot but there's a huge bunch of responsibility that comes down on him and him alone. Show me an incident where a cop shot a guy for complying.

  • uh......Cleve...you know this happens....how?????

I think not, unless it was one policeman in one town who ended up

in prison or something sometime in history.

What the heck was that all about?

    1) go back and re read, did I not "clearly" write that I was giving an extreme example and not what occurred in this one?

    2) Show you an incident where a cop shot a guy for complying? Dude, have you been out of the country this year? Did you just get back from a sabbatical in the Himalayas?

no but don't any of you remember the story from not too long ago about the women who were molested in plain view on the highway by some patrol officers? like full anal cavity search's right on the side of the road. Exactly how good are your guys long term memories?

  • Apparently you must be because in none if these incidents were the victims complying.

  • well, I googled "women sexually assualted by police" and nothing came up.

I believe there was an incident where a woman was strip searched back in

the dept, by a woman with men around for security or something.

That's one. Out of millions of police officers.

  • have you ever watched the Kelly Thomas beating?

  • or how about the old black woman who was ground and pounded by a CHP officer in the median of a busy highway? do you guys recall any of this? How bout the black dude in NY who made not one aggressive non compliant move once assaulted by 8 cops yet still was put in a choke hold. Not only does this shit happen, you literally don't have to even really search much it's so recent.

I don't sit and google about diddling cops everyday so I guess I missed it.

  • changed the subject - apparently for good reason.
