Liking a QB prospect a lot and passing on him makes zero sense, mik... especially in the light of how difficult it can be to add a prize QB last.

If MM is there at 12, we take him... and bid a fond farewell to D Bone... gonna miss him come Sundays in the Tavern...

My theory too.....QB's are too rare to play around with....if you think he's "the one", you dont pass......and, if possible and you are certain he's the one, then you go get him.....

Conversely, if you have 2 first round picks and you desperately need a QB....then go ahead and pick a Corner back with your first pick and wait to pick a QB with your later pick....that means you didnt REALLY think the QB was "the one"....just taking a swing......

    A swig you say? 😮

  • Pryor?......the BIG difference between Pryor and JFF is that Pryor has already proven he cant play in the NFL ....comparing their first game is a pointless exercise that means nothing.....

yes....Jff's off to a good start to do the same.....but still has a chance to turn it around......

Pryor has played only one full season, with one of the worst teams of all time, including a offensive line where none of them could even hold Mitchell Schwartz jock strap, I'm not saying Pryor is good but I am saying he is a flashy player that can actually be flashy while Manzeil is a flashy player that can do nothing.

    How is that homerism?

  • In what way do you quantify Pryor "actually" being "flashy" and Manziel "doing nothing"? The 5 quarters you've seen him play in?

I don't totally disagree with you that Pryor should get a real shot somewhere. You just sound a little ridiculous saying that a guy who is probably the flashiest college player of all time is "a flashy player that can do nothing" while a guy who was far inferior in college without any sort of great NFL record "can actually be flashy."

  • The minute someone mentions Terrele Pryor a thread dies.

It used to be Troy Smith.

These guys were given up on early in the NFL for a reason.

Pryor is actually flashy becouse right from the get go he was making plays that we all thought Johnny would make. I'm not sure what extent you mean "without any sort of great NFL record" Becouse Pryor has the record for longest TD run for a QB.

Except Pryor is still on an NFL roster, he hasn't been given up on.

    He's on his third roster.

Because he is not starter material.

He wasn't released, he was traded to Seattle for a bag of cashews,

    Then Seattle cut him.

Then the Bengals, Eagles, Giants and Redskins worked him out but passed.

And now KC signed him January after he sat out the entire 2014 season with no one picking him up to even hold a clipboard.

    Can we move on?

He asked out of Oakland and they traded him for a 7th rounder.

Either way Pryor has shown all the signs of being better then Manzeil. Since the reality is JFF wouldn't trade for a 7th rounder

That's what we need: a QB that "asked out", got traded for a 7th rounder, got cut, failed four tryouts, sat out an entire season, and is now at the bottom of some other teams preseason depth chart ... as opposed to giving our first round pick from last year another chance after two starts.

No no you're both wrong and foolish, what we REALLY need is Tim Tebow. Right? Huh? Anyone?

You forgot to add low to no impulse control to pryor's problems. Even at college level he had accuracy issues. He'd make a good receiver or bulked up to a tight end but NFL qb? nope.

The ONLY reason we are giving JFF another chance is BECAUSE WE DRAFTED HIM IN THE 1ST ROUND! I don't know what you were watching but Connor Shaw performed better then JFF and I know Pryor would too. JFF doesn't deserve any of our time especially the time of Coach Pett.

  • I feel like we are talking to a child. Pryor might as well hang up the cleats bro.

Manziel just needs to get off the sauce and commit himself to football and I think he'll show us all why we drafted him

  • Whatever you say,

  • Didn't Manziel only have one start?
