Now, I may be mistaken, but I thought there were studies out there comparing drunk driving and high driving. I'm pretty sure high drivers were just more cautious.

I'm in that boat. I used to smoke it a long time ago so far be it for me to criticize anyone for it. I really don't care if it's legal or not I still won't be able to smoke it nor would I be inclined to at this point

To the weed zealots, I really don't give a s*** about how much dope you smoked or how much you love it. I don't think it should be against the law. I just cant take it as seriously as you guys do.
Generally the people I know who smoke a lot of dope seem stupid to me. Drunks seems stupid to me. Cigarette smokers seemed really stupid to me.
(PS just for the record Woodrow did you just post me a study involving 19 people? I'm sure Cal could find 19 scientists the think global warming is a hoax.
)But as to the norml propaganda sure there are less cases of stoned smoking. Probably lots more people drink than smoke pot and probably lots more people take a breathalyzer than a blood test.
So if you weed warriors would have no problem with somebody getting smoked up and driving a school bus, who cares?
(Still I don't want people on welfare spending their meager allowances on whiskey cigs or weed.)

I think the push back is that it wont be free enterprise, but is gonna be controlled by 10 "pre-determined" investors.....and all the pot grown, bought and sold in Ohio will be produced by these 10 "investors" only.....they will be selling shares, so others can invest, but guess who gets the money from the shares ???....they'll make millions before even one seed is produced........so, is it fair to give all the business income to just 10 individuals.....????
Sounds like a good guy deal to me that will make the rich richer and not allow others to benefit from the income potential....
Can you think of any other products that are a monopoly from day one???........

Weed is no different than any other product and people will make big profits from it despite the fact that the supporters like to think it's all peace love and flower power. I suppose you guys just have to make a decision between corporate profit and being allowed to get high legally. They just need results that are statistically significant to reject or refuse to reject a hypothesis. If that can be found with a sample size of 19, then they're good.
The actual study seems to be behind a paywall, or at least I need to register, so I can't look at it now.
Maybe Vapor can better speak to the sample size needed in a clinical trial. I don't think they'd publish a study that can't provide any relevant results.
It was just thr first study I found. I can find more if you'd like.

By the way I voted against casino gambling because only a handful of billionaires will get richer. I figure legalize gambling and you could put a few more bucks in the pockets of restaurant and bar owners statewide. But somebody's palm got greased just like it will be with the weed.

If you get pulled over, how can they tell if you are "High" at the time?

Most people show typical symptoms. Some do not. These people probably have higher tolerance, similar to alchohol. You can get arrested for dui without taking a breathalyzer (the only sure way of proving intoxication). So if you pass some sort of weed sobriety test you should be allowed to go on your way.. just like alchohol.. which is LEGAL.
