The good news is that Antwaan Randle El completed 81.5 percent of his passes as an NFL quarterback. The bad news is that he threw only 27 passes in nine years.A true all-around athlete, Randle El was taken by the Cubs in the 1997 baseball draft but opted to play quarterback at Indiana, where he also competed in basketball and baseball. Randle El broke the NCAA freshman total-offense record with 467 yards in his first collegiate game and finished the season with 1,745 yards passing and 873 yards rushing. He wound up fifth on the all-time NCAA total-yardage list with 7,469 passing yards and 3,895 rushing yards.
His all-around ability prompted the Steelers to draft him in the second round in 2002 but also led them to turn him into a receiver and returner. That decision paid dividends. In five years with the Steelers and four with the Redskins, Randle El returned 311 punts and 79 kicks and caught 370 passes for 4,467 yards and 15 touchdowns. The Steelers released him July 28, but he is still the active leader with 2,557 punt-return yards. And don’t sniff at those paltry NFL passing stats. Randle El completed 22 of his 27 passes for a career passer rating of 157.8, the highest ever for a player with at lea

Boasting the longest career of any player on this list, Mitchell played 14 seasons as one of the premier return men in the NFL. But before he was returning kicks, Mitchell was a quarterback at Southwestern Louisiana (now Louisiana-Lafayette), where he became the first collegian to throw for more than 5,000 yards and rush for more than 3,000 yards.Despite never returning a kick in college, Mitchell was picked by the Washington Redskins in the fifth round of the 1990 NFL Draft to do just that, as well as playing occasionally at running back. Mitchell was a solid third-down back, but he made his mark as a return man, four times leading the league in all-purpose yards.
He still holds NFL records for most career kickoff and punt return yards, and is second only to Jerry Rice in all-purpose yardage. And with the new NFL kickoff rules that limit return opportunities, it is likely Mitchell will remain the NFL’s all-time top return man at least for the foreseeable future.
Top 10 College QBs Who Switched Positions

The point of the above is to show that it doesn't matter what school the guy went to.....be it rivals like Michigan, Penn St. Indiana, or local school Kent St. (2 on this list)....or the Rajin Cajuns.
-
Did any of those guys switch to WR after trying to play QB in the pros? I am sure all of those guys went in knowing they needed to switch positions.

So, since he has shown absolutely nothing, I'm assuming that all this wailing and gnashing of teeth is Buckeye inspired homerism?

Damn, you used the wailing and gnashing of teeth line. I had it cued up, but waited to long.

Third string quarterback but for a crisis of biblical proportions should never see the field. And he is number 4, at least hopefully.
I never played very much football but I've been singing for well over 50 years. If somebody told me to go back and get behind the drums I would bet dollars to dog turds that I'd suck and I have not seen this guy catch a pass in the National Football League yet.

I like Pryor's upside! I've also never seen Housler catch a pass in MY NFL yet! Sometimes the
Browns make no sense, but I gotta have FAITH GO BROWNS

No one wanted him, we took him and cut him, cry away pussies.

Except catching a ball is infinitely easier than playing drums.

Playing drums is pretty easy actually. If you have any sense of rhythm, it takes about 15 minutes to get the basics. Haven't you ever heard AC/DC?

Regardless of if Pryor deserved to get cut or not, Turbin can't even play for a couple weeks and there are still 4 TE's on the roster. Doesn't make sense.
This doesn't feel like a scenario Ray mapped out prior to Sunday...

Agree... puzzling development. With high ankle sprain could even be longer...
The Seahawks cut Turbin... Is Turbin any good?
Sorta...
I'm remembering a rugged, scat back type.
4.0 rushing average in his three seasons in SEA. Can catch... high reception to target ratio.
Fast and quick coming out of college, but that's 3 years ago.

Hell, looking at that list, you could make a case for Denard at 10.
I would have liked to see us keep Pryor. I know roster spots are hard to come by, but that development process could have created a very, very good WR.
Also, I liked him on the Browns in Madden...

If Farmer hadn't mapped it out, Tour, then what's your theory?
-
There are hundreds of freak athletes that don't make it in the NFL. He's just another.
-
None really...
Strikes me as even less of a free-wheelin' deal by a substitute GM. And can't imagine Ray was breaking his suspension.
Probably should have said, "If Farmer did map it out, then I'm very impressed... with the foresight, if not the player."
Well Turbin was cut Saturday and the suspension didn't start until Monday right? Don't be TOO impressed.None really...

Well, Turbin > Montee Ball, so.. that's progress in some way. But he's out for a long time with a high ankle sprain, so.. what in the name of 4 TE's is going on here?

As per usual your post is 99% bs 1% fact. Both the Pats and Cowboys put in waiver claims when the kitty cats released Pryor. No one wanted him, we took him and cut him, cry away pussies.

What Pryor isn't going to be an awesome WR that will strengthen an already awesome WR corps, schucks
