    Did you forget Merrill Hoge?

What might be interesting....if it hasn't been done already......is to see ESPN do a whole segment with Hoge and Skip Bayless.

Hoge the hater vs. Bayless the Johnny knobgobbler.

Who would be the Burr and who would be the Hamilton?

Or, maybe it could end like this other famous duel:

    • Thomas Biddle and Spencer Darwin Pettis — August 26, 1831 — One of the most famous duels to occur on Bloody Island, it is often cited as an example of the theory that "all politics is local." Pettis, a staunch Jacksonian Democrat, challenged Biddle, brother of banker Nicholas Biddle, because Biddle had publicly humiliated Pettis. Because the Code Duello stated that the particulars of the duel were to be decided by the "challengee," Biddle, who was nearsighted, chose Bloody Island and a distance of five feet. It is argued[by whom?] that Biddle thought such a close distance would convince Pettis not to go through with the duel, but Pettis was undeterred. They fired at five feet, and both were killed.

    More likely this way though:

July 26, 1847: Albert Pike and John Selden Roane; declared a draw, no injuries. 😛

Yea, more likely. A duel between pantywaists.

Would be nothing like this duel:

I understand that Steve Vai played both parts.

  • Really, Hoge and Bayless are more like this.......but I am just figuring which is which.

  • here's a great analogy (i think?)

you buy a nice looking car from a dealership and salesman (coach pettine) you take it for a test spin, you love it. your wife loves it. everyone in the neighborhood is giving you thumbs up.

next week you run over a nail on the highway and get a flat. put the spare on and rode it for 50 miles and got a bag of chips. take the car back to the dealership (pettine) and ask them to pay for the tire. they do cuz they like you as a customer. you get in the car now and you hate it. for what reason nobody knows except for the bag of chips. still getting the thumbs up. still riding like a brand new car BUT since you know it had a flat and you liked that bag of chips you hate it now, and the dealer.

  • mmmmm, chips

  • So, JFF sits and learns this year, so he can take over next year (when McCown is still under contract), while a new first round QB sits and learns...right.

Well, you might as well know for certain if Johnny will be the guy or not. Even if Josh is still under contract. The most important thing is, when we draft another QB, he sits and learns the system. Frankly, I don't believe that Johnny or Josh is the QB we are looking for.

then why did we burn a 1st rounder on him?

walter how many first round cards you still have left in your hand?

thinking browns should trade 1/2 their first round cards in for double in the duece.

"Pettine is a lot like Mangini, he loves his overpriced declining veterans"

All the momentum, all the energy we had going into Sunday just seems deflated.

I don't know if this is true or not, but the word is Haslem wanted coaches to draft him. Hopefully, he will learn to stay out of the process and leave it to the coaches. This is why you pay them.

Only to you and the other few - albeit loud - like you.

For the rest of us, we see the Browns going 2-1.

No, not just me. This is why it's such a highly debated issue right now on about every Browns media outlet, espn, and NFL

I want the Browns to win Sunday really bad but I see us losing big time

Yeah....well, 2 weeks of non stop bitching and whining will suck the energy out of any room....

And makes it a pretty undesirable room to be in .......(16 week season suddenly sounds like a nightmarish whinathon)....

I know when I talk about my favorite team(and hobby), I want to surround myself with a bunch of waffling, finger pointing, second guessing crybaby whiny know nothings......that makes it extra fun.....and educationable....

ESPN, NFL Network, CBS, FOX, and all the others want to paint the Browns as losers. The only thing we can do is win and that solves everything. I strongly believe we can be a playoff team this year.

Is this where you pretend you knew Manziel would be an NFL starter and forget all the trash you posted about him? Senility must be fun
