Exactly. Just don't blow it up and start over with another 48 month deadline.

  • There's 4 unbeaten teams for starters. New England, Cincinnati, Green Bay, and Denver. Cysko

    *****************************************************************

LOL. What was I thinkin? Well, I reckon I was thinkin "who we have played"....

    I was tired......

The point is, we've only played one unbeaten team, and we came oh, so aggravatingly close to kicking their

ass on the scoreboard and winning the game. This team is finding itself. Sure, it's still a loss, but how many years

have we suffered through coaches that need to be fired, poor play, serious lack of talent, locker room cancers,

and few FA's worth their salt would even think about coming to the Browns?

All that has changed. Other players in the NFL see that the Browns are finally headed in the right direction.

there isn't one Browns fan that is NOT sick of losing. the coaches do NOT NEED TO BE FIRED.

What the hell? You start building a terrific home, working all the way up to the roof, and it rains. Some of you

are saying "DAMN, THIS HOUSE LEAKS! LET'S TEAR THE WORTHLESS THING DOWN AND START ALL OVER AGAIN"

And the next time, the same thing happens. It rains before you get the roof finished, water leaks into the house, and

you say "BURN IT DOWN! START FROM SCRATCH ALL OVER AGAIN UNTIL IT STOPS LEAKING"...

So, there ya go. Now, the house wasn't built right in the past, ya. But it is now....it just isn't finished !

ALL OF US ARE PO'D WITH LOSING. But what makes more sense, bitch about getting a few more

final pieces to the roof...er....team... like most of us have a right to do..... or... be lunatics about screaming

that we need to tear the house all the way down to the basement floor, tear up the basement floor, because

    the house is still leaking?

A few of you wild asses need to simmer down and at least bitch about losing legitimately.

  • Frustrating loss for sure but didn't we take Denver into overtime? How many people thought we would win going into the game? Didn't we exceed expectations? I'm not saying we played a great game but this team is a scrappy team and has stayed in all these games this season until late in the fourth quarter or taking teams into overtime.

  • I get tired of this "just find a new team" bullshit. The browns are my team always have been always will be. But I'm not satisfied with them being a doormat for twenty years and twenty to come. I feel like some of you pride yourselves on how much you love bad football. I want to love good football. Good browns football.

Never thought I'd say this but I'm definitely on your side on this one. No one with this attitude is not a fan of the Browns so stop saying that garbage. I don't think it's unfair criticism to say it's ridiculous to keep being happy with "moral victories", "played well against a good team" and "improvement". I think in the past 10 years I've heard those phrases used 50+ to describe the Browns. So why isn't there any of that on the field? These types of speeches are what high school football coaches say to 16 year old kids, not grown ass men getting paid millions of dollars.

We all get it-we have zero control of that product on the field and at the end of the day we are just fans. But Jesus Christ people stop accepting this at face value because it just isn't true. The conversation needs to focus on why this isn't happening..is it coaching, no franchise QB, an ancient curse that we need to sacrifice goats for to remove? I'm just tired of this narrative cause I'm 25 and I feel like I'm going to hear about "moral victories" until I'm dead.

  • i'm glad i wasn't on here yesterday cuz i would have lit you all up.

    go fuck yourselves.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

now that's funny. you're still young enough to pick another team and nobody would know. try doing it for over 40 years. belly up or back the fuck up out the door.

  • FWIW Cal- I reserve the right to bitch about lousy pass blocking that almost got McCown killed. And this "fan" is going to drive 350 miles this coming weekend to St. Louis to watch the Browns play- and probably lose- to the Rams. Mr. Hoorta

    *************************************************************************

Well, if you had seen me and my Wife watching the game, you'd see her giving me the "good night,

you're going to make yourself bald that way" look. LOL.

Real fans are bitching about the losing, I sure do. But right out of the gate, "fans", in quotes, refers to the

analogy I just posted - giving up on the Browns, and saying it all has to be destroyed, and rebuilt

like a house with the roof not quite finished.

It's just how I see it. It's been miserable/pitiful/seriously aggravating for years, with a team mishmoshed with players

who don't care, teams that can't get all on board with the inept coaches.... lopsided, humiliating defeats...

These coaches are not inept, they are just learning. It takes time. The Browns are really getting there. So, sure,

all of us are po'd bigtime, about not having gotten there yet. Peyton made some pitiful mistakes, and he has bigger,

solid targets. Peyton had Demaryius sp? Thomas and Owen McDaniels, both 6'3". And he also had Sanders,

the speedster that used to be with the Steelers, though he isn't 6'. And Peyton has been throwing INT's, too.

And Demaryius was a first round, pro bowl draft pick on the Broncs.

The only big target McCown has, is Barnidge, and they did their best to double cover him and take him out of the game.

I bitch about predominantly running on first down, since teams know they need to stop the run because

McCown doesn't have receivers that scare anybody - except for Barnidge, and maybe little ole Travis.

The draft/FA needs used to be a mile long. It isn't now. They have the coaching staff, the right locker room,

and most of the players they need. All these years, (note - I'm retired already...), and it's been necessary

to keep rebuilding the house from scratch. Now, it's nearly properly built to last, and all we need is

for the Browns to put the roof on, and we're ready for the superbowl.

Look at the miserable ratbirds. They just lost to the niners, who are now 2 and 4. They lost by 5 points, 25-20.

Ya think their coaching staff all of a sudden got stupid? nah. Some of the pieces aren't there now.

Look at all the talent the goofy redheaded kid in Cincy has around him.

The Browns narrowly lost to an unbeaten Denver team. Things are lookin up in a huge way.

Yes, I bitch about running nearly most of the time on first down, I didn't think they should have gone

for two, Peyton's INT's made me happy, and McCown's INT's peezed me off.

The Browns just need that pro-bowl type, blue chippie wr. No more dumb pothead guys, no more prima donnas

that don't really care. It's just the pitiful bitching that we should dismantle the house all the way to the point

of re-mortoring the basement walls that aggravates me and stinks up this forum. That's all I'm sayin.

  • We are getting there. Pettine and Farmer have not been here since 99 and should not be blamed for all the bad things that have happened prior to coming here. Not having a franchise qb is one of the reasons for sure but also too much turnover of head coaches and GM's have been equally as destructive.

Did you even fucking read what I said? Literally the first sentence in my comment was no one is saying they aren't a Browns fan, it's really not hard to read a comment through. Seriously what the fuck does that even mean? Okay I'll just belly up and accept moral victories for another 40 years? All I'm saying is I don't know how you people keep thinking that's a good argument when nothing ever changes. I know that means little as a fan because it's not like we can change anything really. But it also doesn't mean we can't be riled up and not say "aw shucks!" when they puke all over us and be happy they "played hard". That's what my JV squad in high school got to hang their hat on, not a professional football team.

no but it's the people like you just just gotta throw jabs at 'our' team that should be 4 and 2 right now. lost to a team in the last seconds (again) to a team that is 6 and 0. lost to a team in the last seconds that put a whippin on a superbowl fave (the pack) who lost in the last seconds. played great in every game except our first.

glad you and alot here are not motivational speakers. you'd be broke and drinking gin underneath the verrazzano right now.

The browns are great. Great at losing. We don't just get beat. Our losses crush the soul and defeat the spirit.

all these years of mediocrity, and you think nothing has changed the last couple of years?

Look at the ratbirds' record now. It isn't easy to win when all the pieces aren't in place.

But the Browns are getting there, getting very close, and as I look at it,

far, far closer than ever before, since '99.

Just because the win-loss record so far looks the same, check out a ton of details behind the scenes.

You think the ratbirds need to fire all their coaches, get rid of all their players, and start all over again?

  • I say the Browns need a few more pieces to the superbowl puzzle, and

    we're all good to go.

And when we get there, not one of the "destroy it all and start all over again"

nasty-nancies-gots-temper-tantrumsies will admit they were wrong.

    Just a prediction.

  • You're high on root beer and roundup fumes. We're nowhere close to the super bowl.

  • exactly. besides drafting OL and 4th round rbs and wrs when has farmer went offense?

expect it next year, big time.

i don't know man, i see no improvement on our run d and qb pressure..i see no run game...bottom line is i see no improvement on line play on both sides of the ball...and it has been this way for tooo long..we were alot closer when butch davis was the coach than now..at least he made the playoffs..thats pretty damn close....too bad it ended in typical cleveland browns fashion.

  • Like I posted in the other thread. Aaron Rodgers is struggling, bigtime.

Guess they need to draft a qb?

I don't think so. They are just missing a few key pieces of their offense.

Same coach, same qb... now think about that.
