But why not keep a 6'3 Miles Austin who proved to be a serviceable, go-to guy in 2014? Not to mention that he was a good bit cheaper than Bowe.

As for Evans... his 24 receptions would fit right in...

Keeping Austin over Bowe should have been a no-brainer in hindsight.

Hindsight? As one of my few examples of foresight, I shall not be denied... Good Day, Sir!

Actually it invited players to question the competence of those making these kinds of decision. And it had more to do with foresight than hindsight. It has become quite obvious that whomever Farmer wants to blame, whether it be he or his "committee", has no inkling of the impact of premier WR's, not just in the passing game, but in the running game as well. If you can't get the front 7 concerned about stopping the passing game it gives them free reign to crunch your running game into 2 yards and a cloud of losing. Add to that a D that can't stop anything on the edge and often up the middle, then you have the perfect recipe for continued bottom dweller. And when are they going to put Shelton on a good strength & conditioning program. He either needs to drop 30 lbs of slowing flab or turn it into something a lot more effective.

Sorry-I'm just disgusted with this "pro" staff at all levels.

The perfect recipe for a bottom dweller is drafting Johnny Dipstick in the first round.

I see he was down in Texas partying with coeds this past weekend while McCown was in the training room and watching film.

You've admitted you are a Denver fan, yet all you do is bitch about the Browns.

We have enough Browns fans bitching on here we don't outsiders teeing off on us.

We're going to whip the shit out of Pittsburgh and get this thing moving, and I don't know what you guys are going to have to bitch about for the rest of the season.

Just you Z, just you. LOL 😛 OH, and the horse you rode in on too. 😁

I came back and decided not to take any of your insults seriously. Nice try though.

I don't think there were any insults in there. I said you were a fan of the Broncos (true?) and you bitch about the Browns (true).

Maybe ripping on Johnny is what you find insulting. As we watch his career unfold ... you're going to need to get over that.

    Unfold? Dont you mean unravel?

  • This is a good post. I do agree. Receivers over 5'8" would have helped. I look at all we passed on and cringe. Good post though.

Pretty sure for that to be true it'll have to ravel first.

    Ironically.....ravel means to unravel.....never knew that.....weird, eh?

  • lol... nope, did not know that.

However the word "superfluous" comes to mind...

Also the word "nerd"... as in "a person that would look up 'ravel'."

Ha!....pretty true there....Im pretty nerdy when it comes to researching my facts, thats for sure.....

Saw Marks quote yesterday and thought exactly what you posted....gotta ravel to unravel.....then I thought Ravel???....is there such a word???......cause Ive never heard it.....so I looked it up.....and waaalaaa......ravel means unravel....

And, in respect to Johnny....both of your statements are now spot on....😉

  • Ravel can also be a big tangled knot, so 'unravelling' would be sorting that out. And you can presumably ravel a ravel.
