  • The most shocking aspect of our team is how little the QB position matters right now. What I mean by that is, we are so talent depraved at SO many OTHER positions, that it almost wouldn't matter who our QB was. Farmer's view on the importance of WR's has been a major flaw in our talent evaluation, and we are paying for it heavily now. So we miss out on the best WR class in history, and then we draft a mid-round bust in Vince Mayle. Yeah, that's really helping our QB's out a ton. Allen Robinson? Yeah, he was a second round pick I think, and he's on pace for about 1400 yards. What about Charles Johnson? Remember hearing about our beat writers talk ALL about his potential? Yeah...we let him go. Now, he's not exactly setting the league on fire, but he's at least young and a viable OPTION at WR that is not 5'9 and 170 pounds.

And what about our terrible running game? I don't care WHAT size a QB is, if he doesn't get the luxury of a running game or the benefits of a good play action fake, he's completely screwed. Oh, and how about a decent defense? I'm not even talking about a GOOD defense, I just want a DECENT ONE. Some people that can get to the QB? Some strip-sacks? Anything?!

This is why I don't care much about the QB conversation right now. We are so devoid of talent, so far behind the playoff teams, that the QB position is taking a back seat in my mind. I desperately want Johnny to play the remaining games, not because I think he's the guy that gives us the best chance to win, but because the only way for a guy to get better is to PLAY. How many bad games did Teddy have last year? Heck, THIS year? Didn't Carr have his fair share of rookie struggles? Bortles? Young QB's have to play in order to get better, and Pettine is seriously hurting Manziel's development. I understand that McCown probably gives us the best chance to win, but what exactly is the good of winning right now?

I keep hearing this....over and over again.......yet, last year Manziel was a complete waste and said he wasnt changing for anybody....

YET....a few months later he announces he hasnt been doing his job, drops the whole money sign thing and checks into rehab...

SO.....Is it POSSIBLE that Manziel got his act together BECAUSE of Pettines tough stance with him?.....Is it possible, that by NOT playing Johnny, reality set in and he decided to correct his ways?....(I think so)

or do you think he just did all that on his own......? (I dont)

  • JM is nothing but a distraction to the Browns and the faster hes chased out of town,. the better for the Browns.

  • The reason why you drafted JM is because he was electrifying, can extend plays, and keep the defense on their heels.

Why the fuck would you want to leave him in the pocket in the first place? It makes absolutely no sense!!!

Any good coaching staff molds their scheme to fit their PLAYERS. Not the other way around!

Will this organization ever get its shit together? It's frustrating to watch this shit show every damn Sunday...

Will this team ever be great again?

Do we have to always play for next year?

    Smh...

In fact, fuck an offensive line, just snap it to him, play 9 receivers, let him scramble until someone gets open and see what happens!

Maybe he wouldn't be a distraction if Pettine left him as the starter.

But noooo, we keep McClown in there and what has he done?

His stats are very misleading. Two of his interceptions cost us potential victories!!

Yes.. A QB who plays from the pocket and makes actual reads..

  • They drafted him to sell jerseys, they are still searching for a QB of the future.

We did offer a first for Sam Bradford after all.

I'd rather that than fucktard McCown doing helicopter dives into the endzone in the 1st Qtr..

    He can play!!

But Pettine has a hard on for McClown.

There is absolutely no reason to play this washup, we know what his ceiling is!

Because McCown is a real QB right?

All the games he has won us really backs up your hard on...

  • ....waiting for an original thought that I havent already read a thousand times......

But it doesnt seem to be happening.....boooo....

Weeden was 29 when he was drafted, so technically he was a "hit".

    Same for Quinn and McCoy.

Well, obviously, I was referring to Weeden with the 30. Work with me here, round up.

McCoy wasn't drafted to be a saviour, he was a shot in the dark.

Quinn, yes, fit the prototype. But we missed. But you have a better chance picking Quinns (NFL size, arm, mobility, age) than you do chasing midgets and grandpas.

So we're measuring QB's solely by wins, then?

If that's the case, McCown is more of a real QB than Manziel.

He can't play. We've seen it plenty of times already and now he's making excuses that he can't see over the line. Fuck him... he's done here and won't be in the league in a couple years.

You're talking about Manziel, right? Because his ceiling is about 5'7" high.

Doubt it. He'll probably be in the league until at least 2020.

2020 isn't many more than a couple. He's such a distraction off the field, I don't see him being able to have the Colt McCoy type career. Manziel probably has more talent but he's a pain in the ass and not worth the trouble to keep him around as a back up.

Yet....most agree he's not even good enough to be #2 or #3 on any team......(and people can accept that).......

Do you think that part of the issue with Tebow is teams don't want the circus that surrounds him for a guy who's going to be the 3rd string inactive nearly every week?

It's hard to believe that there are 90 QB's in the world better than him and he couldn't be the 3rd string guy.
