I'm starting to believe that this kid could fuck up a wet dream....

  • Seeing reports on PFT that pettine hasn't named a starter.

That should be great for 1st team reps.

  • Maybe he meant that his girlfriend is late...

    Trolling hardcore, JM.

Did anyone catch DAB's comment after his post? Not sure l understand but l'm glad it's there.

  • Well folks I guess it depends on whether the rumors are true or not. Heard multiple sources say that the coach is being forced by the front office to start Johnny.

    If so:

I can understand the coaches vindictive attitude and I understand his need for some sort of punishment. I also understand what's good or not so good for the franchise. At this point a four-game audition won't really tell us much.

Whoever the quarterback is will be playing with a depleted team held together by spackling compound and bondo.

So far three of the four opponents are fighting for a playoff spot.

You have to wonder about the attitude of Mike or Johnny because both have to realize the more than likely only one of them will be back next year. And they probably hate each other.

I wonder if Mike Pettine, believing he is about to be fired, would sabotage the next four outings?

(I thought the rest of the team might rally around him for the Cincinnati game and give the Bengals a run for their money but...)

If he wants to stay in the league.......he won't sabotage anything. He will just try harder
  • Pettine will go be a competent DC somewhere again. O'Neil will be a position coach again. They'll get another shot in a couple of years after building a solid defence.

Well... what you lack in understanding organization dynamics you make up for in imaginatively ascribing motives. I guess that is consistent with the artistic mind. Pretty big swing to go from thinking we have a coach a "team might rally around" to one that would consider "sabotage".

Only added piece missing from the O is Bito. Until Week 17 Erving won't be seeing a another Atkins-like DT. RB corps is same as has been in weeks. WR corps starts with Benji and Hart, same as it has all year. So why exactly can't the QB be judged now?

Most of the talking heads I have heard agree that 4 games will tell us enough. Their division is around two points: do we really need to see more, and is the look for us or potential trade partners.

I honestly believe if Pet was told to start JM over his objections, that he would decline. Contractually he has roster control. Haslam would have to fire him.

The list of reasons Pet might not be our HC in 2016 does not include "lacks integrity".

  • So ... how long until we have decided Johnny has "met the conditions"?

I was expecting a formal announcement by now.

This is kind of the thing that is driving me insane lately. So it's Tuesday already, and we don't know who the starting QB is? Shouldn't we know that to get a game plan ready? I'm kidding...kind of...because obviously Pettine knows who the QB will be, but it just kind of speaks to the state of our team.

And just what exactly is there to discuss? Johnny screwed up, yes we know. Many analysts believed a one game suspension was sufficient for his missteps, but now it's been two games and still no word? Are you REALLY going to start Austin Davis? Don't you need as much game play from Manziel in order to evaluate him? Don't you need OTHER teams to see what he can do in order to try and get at least a little trade value? The "who plays and who doesn't" stuff is getting old. Justin Gilbert is a healthy scratch. Dwayne Bowe is sitting on his ass making huge money, and Pettine doesn't give ANYONE an explanation. We keep Terrell Pryor past the last cut, and then we cut him later. But wait, we bring him back. I mean...just what the heck?

Just say you're playing Manziel, end of story. Stop trying to be cute, stop trying to get an advantage by not telling the 49's who the starter is, and at least pretend to have a clue.

I can tell you that "Zombo's Coon Dawgs" have already named him the starter for our "Play-in" game this week. Both of my teams actually have "win and you're in, lose and you're out" play-in games this weekend, so that makes a December NFL weekend actually interesting for me. Rare occurrence.

    Zombo

  • I was expecting a link to a "Coon Dawgs" article...

  • "The goal for every game is to go out and win," Pettine said, "and Johnny needs to show that he can put us in position to do so during these last four weeks of the season."

What the hell does that mean?

  • Pettine is burnt toast. He will be shit canned after game 16.

Ag, my Vet had a dog that liked beer so much he would drink till he about passed out (saw it myself). For a dog that isn't much, one beer will do it. .

  • Well the team is going with all they have to use, putting Johnny Manzel in this weeks up coming game against the 49ers. At this point, it will only give him playing time, if the team wins a game , ok, but he is still the same troubled individual.

they ain't winnning another game this season...niners game might be the closest game to a win, but now the niners are showing a little spunk in their game. The clowns will get the ever living shit beat out of them the remaining 3 games after the niners...

Well... according to my Pettine decoder ring...

JM must play well within the system, making reads until it's time to go JFF...
