AT&T's track record is a lot better than Johnnies.From a strictly business point of view, why not add incentives to any deal? ATT sells their business division to Verizon, they still keep options to buy Verizon for a lower price. If Verizon performs/overperforms, ATT sees a piece of the profits. If not, they don't.
