I'd say no, not in advance of the HC hire, I but would tell the HC candidates who make a second round of interviews that JM's fate would be his decision.

Might even tell them all that in the first round. It would be more likely to leak, but who gives a fuck...

RG3 will be an FA as soon as WSH makes it official that they don't want to pick up his $16mm, one-year option...

It's an interesting debate as to which one to take, but I actually would not be surprised if Jerrah nabbed them both. Neither should be that expensive to land.

They picked up his option for 2016 for $16 mil. It is only guaranteed if hes injured. I don't see anyone trading for him with this contract but also don't see the Redskins paying a backup that kind of money either.

Correct... they did pick up the 2016 option. I got that wrong. But since he was not injured during 2015, the option year is no longer guaranteed. So he can be cut without cost to the Redskins and that will be the end of the $16MM price tag.

I think this starts on March 15th this year, but must be done no later than June 1st.

Earlier this year, the Washington Redskins exercised an option to sign quarterback Robert Griffin III for the 2016 season.

And in the upside down world of NFL contracts, that move essentially ensured that he'd be benched or cut in 2015.

Here's why it works out that way: The $16.2 million for 2016 is not guaranteed -- unless the injury-prone RG3 gets injured. No injury, and the Redskins can cut him loose. Riding the bench, of course, is the best way to keep him healthy.

Even after RG3 is cut I do believe whoever he signs with his contract will still be large than Johnny Manziel current contract (less that $5 mil total for the next 2 years) but nowhere near 8 figures per year.

May well be, but it is all subject to negotiation... same with JM if no one trades for him and he ends up being cut.
