I listened to Coughlins exit speech. He mentioned how Eli will be back in a couple of days starting to work on next season. And how Eli is alway 1st in and last to leave. Sounds pretty unfamiliar around hereBut even still doesn't anybody wonder why Johnny would spend the time and effort to learn the system and make the great strides that he did? Something between that and the apparent purposeful insubordination must have happened.

As fascinating as that might be to someone who gives a shit about Tom Coughlin or Eli Manning it has nothing to do with what I was asking.
Apparently after the first season Fiasco Johnny worked very hard to turn his game around. Something must have happened to make him throw that away.
I just wonder what that was.

Brian Hoyer ...
But he was a "bad teammate" for not playing nicely with Mr. Shitshow.

He worked his ass off for this team and was rewarded by being replaced by a midget alcoholic that didn't know the playbook, shit on the team and blew off the end of season two years in a row.I liked Hoyer and feel he got run off for being honest.
So there's that.

Not that Hoyer is elite ( he isn't ), but I'd be pretty pissed too if I was busting my ass and playing my balls off to get replaced by a midget who doesn't give a damn about Cleveland or football.

So you believe that it is an actual addiction to alcohol?
I don't buy that, even though anything is possible.
We assume that there were some in Berea on his side and some who were not.
By the time the Las Vegas turd dropped into the punch bowl it had to be apparent inside the building who was on his way out of town.

I'm just going by his dad saying the kid has a drinking problem. And his ex coach/roommate/sponser that stated he can't be around alcohol. When he was with John, John did well. Johnny booted him, started drinking again and the next thing you see is Billy. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, flies like a duck and looks like a duck, I call it a duck.

i wonder if billy vegas ever made that apparent while being amongst his 'peers'?
also wonder what that first meeting of the 2 first round draft picks was like. were both manziel and gilbert planning on Fing the browns or did one kinda steer the wagon? i remember the after the draft presser and they both seemed eerily similar in their false bravado.
perfumed ponces.

And??
THAT makes it OK for the starting QB to fly out of town before his teammates get ready to play a rivalry game and skip a treatment meeting?
I haven't been following along here real closely, but ... Your are still not defending this guy are you?
I mean if it's the alcohol, you cut bait but you hope for the best ... if he's just a petulant shithead you hope he never plays in this league again.
We didn't change owners ... we didn't change teammates ... do you think there is anyone left in the organization that trusts this guy?

I don't think it is a done deal the Cowboys would even want Manziel after this latest incident along with everything else that has gone down with Manziel since his time in Cleveland. What team would want the circus for an unproven qb? What team wants this kind of distraction? I think Manziel might have a hard time finding another NFL club who will take him.

Rumor has it he's well liked among some other players. Who knows?
There will always be an element that likes his fun personality and "celebrity", but as is the case here, they will mostly be young guys... or old farts in a skirt...

put anyone under a microscope...
lo-fuckin-l... frisky... dude... you have to be Helen fuckin' Keller at this point to not see...

Well it's important to be popular among the young players. The ones that will come together and gel as a team as time goes by. If, in fact, any staff or bunch of players got more than 18 months together.
As for the old guys collecting a retirement check?

A and? Like anybody should I'd like to know exactly what's going on. Wouldn't you? All we get is bullshit from Tony Grossi or Mary Kay Cabot or somebody's fucking twitter feed.Zombo said:

My bottom line is if the kid can play at the NFL level and wants to do so here it's good for the Cleveland Browns and I would like to see that facilitated if possible.
If he can't or he doesn't want to then do what we need to do.
B. Yes we did we change coaches and front office. You say we didn't change teammates? Well wait and see there.
C and it doesn't matter at all to you if it's actually alcohol or petulance? Come on dude. I know drugs, I know alcoholics, & I know assholes and I know guys that are a combination of the three. The levels matter.
I'm just curious as to what the inside story is. I don't think that's a ridiculous thing to wonder about.
And this isn't exactly a blue ribbon panel here, is a bunch of Browns fans. The most knowledgeable guy on the board probably knows less about the situation then the guy at the team commissary that orders the cream in the coaches coffee.
Let alone the guy that fetches it.
But just look at this thread Z Man. Half these guys are more concerned with how to fuck with a player they don't like then how to benefit the team.

LOL! To those who just want to hack & cut, move to Cut & Shoot Texas (Home of Roy Harris, once beaten in the 50's by reigning heavyweight champ Floyd Patterson in the 13 round).
You have to be unemotional when it comes to a business decision and JM's future most definitely is a business decision for the Browns. What is the cost of cutting if he is picked up by another team vs. what is the cost of trading? Does the new coach want to retain him? The new analytics guys can work with the new coach and new GM to figure out exactly what to do about Billy. Hopefully this time Jimmy stays completely out of the decision making on ALL players, including JM.
...He's made a mockery of the organization and the team and has flipped the byrd at authority. End this clown show. The punk is a huge distraction and its humiliating...his actions say he wants out. Personally I'd let him ride pine on the practice squad if that is an option, ala RG3.

The Browns were a mockery long before JFF showed up. He just added the circus tent and sold tickets is all. It has to be a business decision and I have confidence that is exactly what it will be.
