  • a missed PAT from a guy who makes them in his sleep was a critical factor in the game. Say what you will but that new rule certainly changed the day in Denver.

  • A no call on 3rd down for textbook int grounding on Brady put them back in the game. Any other QB in the league throws a ball in the dirt that far from a receiver, while in the pocket with two defenders pulling him down gets flagged

But he was under pressure... πŸ˜‰

I was pulling for a Pat comeback and even I had to flag the one I think you are referring to...

  • Big lead for the Panthers..

Will they let yet another opponent back into the game???

  • I was rooting for the Pats but it was a great game and I don't begrudge Peyton Manning his last shot at glory.

It's going to be a tough matchup against the Panthers. I forsee a Panther Super Bowl victory.

Arizona isn't nearly as dangerous as Seattle was. I don't see them coming back, but stranger things have happened.

I think either Arizona or Carolinas defense will give the Broncos offense trouble. I would like seeing Peyton get one more ring before riding off into the sunset.

  • At this point I'm sort of squarely rooting for the Panthers only because South Carolina is like my home away from home. We vacation there if not every year at least every other so I'd like to see my vacation team win it as it were. I like Peyton Manning as much as the next guy, but I still haven't forgiven the Broncos and seeing John Elway accept the trophy still turned my stomach.

Fair enough.... I've got nothing against the Panthers. I've watched a lot of their games this year and really like the team. Love how Cam is playing and the defense is legit.

Yeah it was at the end of the game. Honestly I'm surprised a flag wasn't thrown for touching the league's golden boy. I guess the 30min Billdo spent before the game talking to the refs only goes so far. Maybe Ed didn't think staying in the Patriots Hampton house this summer was worth more than a few no calls.

  • Oh Shoosh! It's early

  • Man they take a lot of time off the clock

  • Defense wins championships. You watching Sashi?

yup- but it helps if you have a Manning, Brady, Newton. or Palmer.

probably only take the Browns another three seasons to get a defense as good as the Panthers.

  • two best defense's in the NFL playing each other for the SB. Somehow I think though that the Carolina O line will hold off the Broncos D more than the Broncos O line holds the Panthers D. Newtons a way different QB than Brady.

huge believer in that myself, but considering we went D-heavy the last 2-3 drafts and basically either stayed the same or regressed, if we don't pick a QB and WR this year early, i'm gonna flip!

I'm as pissed off as anybody that we've invested so much in the D already and look what we got for it. That being said our offense isn't nearly the problem that the defense is. Only position on offense i'd like to see with our first pick is "maybe" an O lineman. If that D isn't fixed anything we do on offense is a waste.

Problem is we have so many overrated, overpaid D players, that we need to clean a bunch out and start over. D still gets you to the playoffs. With Mary Jane coming back at WR, we will bet the bank on no relapse I'm guessing.

  • I think the days of a Blt with the best defense but the worst offense winning a SB, are over. You have to have a D and O that's at least in the discussion for being among the best in the NFL. It starts in the trenches. Always has always will. Unless football goes flag, that will never change.
