What, you being Retard? I didn't question his list of needs, I questioned his dumb ass approach of getting what we meed in the real world.

Hoorta ordinary I respect your posts but you are being a bit of a troll here. First of all I am far from a dumbass. Secondly the draft I posted is the result I got using the draft simulator. I suppose I could have picked shittier players lol. I don't believe I once said it was likely in reality. As matter of fact I know it's not. I simply manipulated the draft as it was dealt and got a pretty kickass result.

Sorry once you explained yourself. MHO? that simulator isn't worth the powder to blow it to hell. It would only take around another 100 million simulations to come up with that goofy result.

On this fucking waste of a draft pick cocksucker Joe Thomas............... the ONLY THING I ever asked you blowjobs was to demonstrate to me, if this fucking guy is soooooo good?

Did we start running the ball better when he arrived? No?

Did we pass better when he arrived? No?

    Less sacks? No?

    Improved record? Playoffs?

    More division titles? No?

    Beating the Steelers?

Now, if we drafted a QB who gave you the same fucking answers, AND he remianed the starter for 9 years............ you would be livid. But this no-results cocksucker? You want to blow him and put him in the fucking HOF? Fucking Morons.

Just stop it already Tom, since you're all about skill positions. That "Joe sucks" mantra is getting f**king old. Reasons the Browns have sucked in Joe's tenure? Want me to post that jersey with 22 quarterbacks names on it? Maybe the Browns have sucked because they drafted qb busts like Quinn and Weeden? Or one of the all time busts at running back Trent Richardson? Or WR bums like Greg Little, Brian Slow-biski, or Mohammed Massive Drop? Should I even mention Ray the Farmer paid a washed up Dwayne Blow around $9 million bucks to catch 5 passes? Or Maybe Mayle, who couldn't even make it out of Training camp?

BTW, short attention span- the Browns have had a couple thousand yard rushers since Joe's been on the Browns- Peyton Hilis, and Jamal Lewis. You can't improve the running game when you have shit like- as one writer called him- "the Rotting Corpse of Willis McGahee" doing a zombie walk up to the line of scrimmage. Sooooooooooooo sorry we didn't draft Ladanian Tomlinson or Adrian Peterson when we had the chance- and FYI they were both on the Board when the Browns passed on them.

That shit stink is everywhere else on offense- but not in Joe's little corner. "The Hate is Strong with you Tom" at least as far as Joe is concerned.

BTW, the reason why Patriots got away with a mediocre o-line last time is they happen to have one of the all-time greats at quarterback who (usually) can unload the ball so fast- it wouldn't matter if he had a CFL level o-line blocking for him. Not only that- I'd hazard a guess besides Edelman and Gronk- none of his WRs or TEs would even make the Bengals roster. All the Browns have to do is resurrect the Ghost of Otto Graham, and we'll do just fine with a crap offensive line too.

Realism is not really the point of the draft sims.

Larry, why do you feed that agenda? It's a lot like people complaining about the Jerry Springer Show or the Kardashians being trashy television while they continue to tune in to feed the ratings to the top. Ghoolie knows he's a much better poster than stooping to pretending Joe Thomas has been killing us during 9 consecutive Pro Bowl efforts.

Everyone already knowsJoe Thomas has nothing to do with why we didn't draft Donovan McNabb instead of Tim Couch or Tom Brady over Spergon Wynn or trade back for Aaron Rodgers instead of taking Braylon Edwards at #3 overall or trading back for Roethlisberger instead of up for Winslow. We could have even selected Kurt Warner in the expansion draft instead of a former Maryland QB with gambling problems (Scot Milanovich). Furthermore, couldn't we have drafted something other than Weeden at #22 overall and taken Russell Wilson in round 2 or possibly even round 3 of that same draft? McNabb was drafted by the NFL team with the worst record in 98 before we pretend Couch was the only QB drafted by a bad team.

The reason we suck is bad drafting. In 2008, we had no day 1 in a 2 day draft where the only keeper of the entire draft was Rubin. The next year (2009) we were only scheduled for 4 draft picks because Savage had traded away most of our picks. It feels like it was only yesterday when Phil was at his first press conference here telling us something along the line of: "the reason I'm here is to improve the draft. You HAVE to be able to build your team through the draft rather than free agency." Then he went after a bunch of 1 gap dlinemen in FA like Corey Williams, Shaun Rogers, Shaun Smith, knowing full well Romeo preferred 2 gap defenders. In the draft, he picked Kam Wimbley instead of 2 gap sensation Haloti Ngata in round 1 when a better OLB/edge rusher Lamar Woodley didn't go until round 2 to a team that drafted after us in every round. Conceivably, we could have drafted Ngata and Woodley in the first 2 rounds of 1 draft so let Ghoolie's agenda pretend that's all Joe Thomas' fault rather than thinking there's a chance for intelligent conversation to reason with it.

Savage made some good moves too (like Hank Fraley, Eric Steinbach, Joe J and drafting Joe Thomas) - just not enough to overcome his bad drafting, trading away draft picks, and inability to refrain from crossing over to depending more on free agency. How would anyone like to inherit only 4 draft picks scheduled for 2009 after landing only 1 keeper in the 2008 draft? Sound like fun or Easy Street for the next regime in 2009?

Yeah- you laid it out in even more detail Flugs. Don't know why I let Tom bait me with that BS- I fall for it far too often.

It's pretty simple- the Browns have sucked since 1999 because in general their drafts have sucked.

People enjoy your passion in here Larry whether they agree with your pov or not. We're not always going to be right about everything we post regardless of how much we think we are at the time. One of the things I like most about this board is people can challenge opinions using examples and do a really good job getting me to see where they are coming from. While I'm pretty set in my old school ways - I really like that there's some really knowledgeable/passionate fans in here that can do that. Sometimes when most of the media and Mary Kay's Cosmetics is focusing their/our attention on sky is falling bullshit - someone in here will whip out "hey, can you believe we're 7-4 in spite of a big injury volume" or "how about where Josh McCown is ranking on 3rd down efficiency/passer ratings" or "Gary Barnidge and Travis Benjamin are turning into pretty nice stories." Those are all examples of the ability in here to help us find our game faces regardless of the situation. We've got the best fans on the planet that can be found anywhere from the Pacific Coast to England to troops in the Middle East and all throughout Europe. How freakin cool is that?

These guys actually WATCH this team play and football in general instead of lost episodes of the Mandrell Sisters or the Hallmark Channel on Sundays. Most of them know how many Pro Football Championships and/or NFL Titles this team has participated in and won. They even know Otto Graham took this team to 10 consecutive Championship Title Games and won 7 of those in the place where the ingredients of the West Coast Offense were born and pioneered. How many other QBs have led their teams to 10 consecutive Championship Games beginning with their rookie season? Most of our fans also appreciated Kosar leading us to 3 AFC Championship Games especially considering what all QBs have done here before and after. The last time Kosar's offense had the ball in regulation vrs Denver - it got us a 7 point lead with 2 minutes to go with 98 yards standing between Denver's game tying score but aided heavily by the Prevent-a-win defense. Another time, a RB fumbled at the half yard line as we were about to put the game tying points on the board following a huge halftime deficit. Only the cubed root of ignorance sees our QB as the only problem. When Marty had no other choice but to open the game plans back up to how they were throughout the regular season, Kosar shined (ie; half 2 out in Denver). The last AFC team top beat the Buffalo Bills before they won 4 consecutive AFC Championships was our team QBed by Kosar. Marty couldn't even come closer to winning an AFC Championship with Joe Montana as his QB so was it ever the QB or the ass puckered conservative game plans Marty continued to prefer in post seasons? When Kosar won a National Championship as a freshman QB at the U when they were big underdogs to Nebraska, this wasn't just a game changer - it was a QB that transcended a college football program from the 7-6 record Jim Kelly had it at to a program that would later stockpile the first few rounds of many NFL drafts. What did that mean for us? Well, playoffs as early as his rookie year plus 3 AFC Championship appearances up against everything all other QBs have accomplished here before and after.

Some agendas in here aren't about this team, football or the common bond of it all. For example, the same agenda that says Joe Thomas is killing us used to need attention by announcing Bernie Kosar was killing us all throughout his best football days. Today, when Vag posts something absurd - those threads go on forever getting the most attention on the board (other than Manziel who is also controversial). Guess who's competing with that? We could all get more attention if we wanted to be controversial instead of talking about this team. I'd rather focus conversations more on the refreshingly new approach from the top of our organization and what draft prospects will be projecting in our draft slots this April.

  • Flugs NAILED it.

  • damn. i wish we could pick the first ten of the top ten prospects but is that going to happen?

hell, even if the browns did, they would walk away knowing they only got one player out of the 10 that will last in the NFL longer than 3 years.

good point. i know if i played knowing now about all the concussion info and other injuries, i'd set a 3-4 yr limit myself. If a championship comes during that span, so be it but my family comes before fans and championships.

  • Agree with many of the above. I really look forward to see not only who we draft, but the reasons we do so and how they eventually contribute to a long overdue turnaround. Exciting days indeed and certainly more interesting than the way other teams approach it.

well guys we've tried that with almost every position and whiffed on them all since the 80s.

does that mean you stop trying?

we need a franchise qb. what do we do wait until the cherubs drop one in our laps? we need a powerhouse rb that doesn't get tripped up by a candy wrapper that blew on the field. we need a ten ton truck TE. a tall physical wr who can bulldoze and catch everything.

i've supported drafting D for the last 5 years and my posts will support that BUT god knows if we can't get someone on the offense that can get us more than one or two drives a game that are 3 and out then we are done for another season. hopefully someone will bloom from farmer's d heavy drafts in the last couple of years and you know HUE (poo poo). he'll want the QB and to think what we have on the roster to help him out skill wise on the O is already there then you don't know shit.

I was just giving you shit. I think its going to be a QB at #2 and unless we're going to count on Gordon, we need a WR as well. Not as concerned about TE.

i know mark. we have no probs.

what would be great is if we hit on more than one player in a 6 pick draft. (just used six as an example, don't know how many we'll have).

what would be great is if we hit on more than one player in a 6 pick draft. (just used six as an example, don't know how many we'll have).

Hopefully our new analytics approach will help to pick more players who can actually play.

Thanks for the compliment Tom. (((()))) You're right- some people love to be contrarian, just to grab attention. Funny thing is- though Ghoolie can be a pain in the ass, he's often right. Of course it's easy to be right picking on guys like Crenell, Savage and a few others when the Browns have been a continual train wreck since 1999.

LOL, I can honestly say I've seen every minute of every Browns game since 1999. I have to admit it was sort of fun having my Sundays free in the Dark Years after Schmodel moved the team. Probably watched less than 20 hours of the NFL in those three years. I got a lot of long bike rides in on those nice fall weekend afternoons.

And to all Happy Super Sunday. As a Browns fan "Just one before I die." Gonna hang out with about 20 other wine and food fans at my pal's house. If it turns into a Carolina blowout- at least the food and booze will be good. LOL, I saw in the paper today- 30% of the people who tune into the game- those once a year NFL fans, see the SB as an entertainment event- not a game. 🙂

  • Zeke will go top 10! Would you settle for the guy who won the Heisman?
